Hi,
I'm using a MDA Vario III (HTC Tytn II).
I tried to connect to our Wifi-network in school, but I had do deactivate the security certificate(s), the administrator told me.
The authentification method is WPA and TKIP, while the key is given from the network automatically.
When I connect, i had to name my Username and the password, but 1 second later I get the errormessage, that I have the wrong security certificate.
My question: How / Where can I find / deactivate the certificates?
Sry for my bad english, I am german, but I hope that someone can help me to solve this problem.
I would be very very gratefully.

Hi me,
SFR just told me it was because of my SIM card that is too old (1999)... I have just realized that I have this number for more than 6 years (started in 1997....)
Well, they send me a new SIM and I'll be able to surf.
Thanks me for the answer and for my help
Hello Murcielago,
Sorry about reopening this post, but when you received your new SIM, was the network configuration automatically "imported" from it ? How was the procedure performed by you to set it ?
I'm asking it because since I installed a new ROM to my Pocket PC, I was able to set the network configuration but I couldn't use any GPRS traffic monitor software (and my guess it's because before I did the upgrade, there were a few "hidden" networks that Efficasoft software listed and these networks have just gone...)
Thank you!
Fabio.
Hi there,
I've been spending some hours searching for a way to connect my Qtek 9090 to my wireless G network with AES encryption. All the posts i found told me that is 'should work' in W2003SE.
I am shure that i am using WM2003SE but it doesn't work for me.
The box asking me for my 'network key' keeps popping back up.
Any idea's anyone?
Sirs, I just bought an MDA VARIO at Netherlands and unblock it to use when I get back to Brazil. At the hotel I'm using a KPN Hot-spot to surf on the net but I couldn't make my "smart phone" work with KPN.
I turned the WLAN on, VARIO found the hot-spot and connected but I can't surf, msn or download e-mails. I think that I'm supposed to fill username, password and server name on "enroll tab" and them "retrieve certificate". Am I right?
Username and password was filled but no idea about the server name to finally able the net to open. Can someone help me !!!!!???
Hi all!
I'm having a very strange issue with my Internet connection on the niki.
I have configured the default Internet connection (the one without VPN and Proxy config) to use the ISP parameters to connect to GPRS.
It connects but it's not working (I tried to navigate with IE but got error opening page).
So I created a new connection (in this case I could set up a proxy, but I left empty), with the same ISP config, selected it as the network to be use automatically to connect to internet, and it works very well.
Any idea about this strange behaviour?
Thanks!!!!
Alex

I am trying to enable AES encryption on O2 atom so that I can connect to Office Lan using WPA-AES. Currently only seeing TKIP option.
By the way, I am using WM5
Can any one please help or suggest alternatives.

I have tried playing the wireless connection function of an ATOM black with a router the other day. The router is working properly which is being shared by few clients, and was set up with WPA-PSK (with either AES or TKIP); hence, I configure the ATOM black with WPA and TKIP but it kept connecting and disconnecting. Finally, I disabled the encryption with both router and ATOM and tried again. This time, the two devices talked to each other. Put the encryption back to the devices but failed the connection again. Think that WM5 is not geared up with wireless encryption. **Have not tried the OPEN, SHARED nor WPA though** --- Julian
Upgraded to WM6 still no WIFI access
Hi
Thanks for julian to try and help.
Since it was not working on WM5, i installed WM6.1 ROM on my phone using file PDAVIET_ROM_WM61_OS20755_ATOM_Sonblack.exe. Still I do not have ability to connect to my WIFI network. I see that under Network settings, even now for WPA and WPA-PSK only TKIP is listed.
Error i get is : "Network requires you a personal certificate to positively identify you"
My friend has HTC touch with same settings as mine and he can connect to WIFI. Is the O2 atom missing some modules. I find that my friend's mobile has AES encryption along with TKIP even though TKIP is being used.
How can I install WPA2 on the above ROM. That is one thing that HTC touch shows which my phone does not have as well.

I have not been following up the thread with PDAVIET WM6.1. So I cannot comment your problem.
You may want to access the following thread hope it will give you hint on your certificate problem.
Good luck,
Julian
