Qtek 9090 & Wifi AES encryption - Networking

Hi there,
I've been spending some hours searching for a way to connect my Qtek 9090 to my wireless G network with AES encryption. All the posts i found told me that is 'should work' in W2003SE.
I am shure that i am using WM2003SE but it doesn't work for me.
The box asking me for my 'network key' keeps popping back up.
Any idea's anyone?

Qtek 9100 WiFi prob connecting with USR9106

Hello all,
First of all i would like thankq for your helpful information. Without you our pocketpc's are useless.
I have problem connecting 9100 with my wifi router USR9106. I'm enabling wlan but after some minuters an error came up that 9100 can't aquire an ip.
I've sent an ip ex. 192.168.1.3 in the wlan card in connection cards tab but same problem.
I enabled usr to give automatically ip, i changed the wlan card in 9100 to aquire automatically an ip, same here nothing happens.
I tried both with "The work" and "internet" option.
Anyone could give me a little help?
I'm looking forward to hear from you,
Bill

Can't connect to encrypted WiFi

I know quite a lot of you guys are/were having the same problem since the 2.xx Rom. I can connect to open networks just fine but the Wizard doesn't connect to encrypted networks. Has anybody found a solution to this problem yet?
Any help is much appreciated.
Regards,
Alex
You've got to be more specific. I have no problems connecting to secure wifi. What authentification type, WPA, Shared, WPA-PSK??
I've tried WPA-PSK and TKIP so far.
TKIP at a friend's house who owns the O2 xda mini s (O2 branded Wizard) and he could connect just fine. My QTEK 9100 couldn't.
WPA-PSK at my parents'. My dad connects to the network with Nintendo DS but again, my QTEK wouldn't.
seems like they had the same problem:

Wifi Problems with M3100 and Orange Livebox

Hey
I've been trying to connect to the internet through my Orange Livebox using a WiFi connection from my SPV 3100.
I tried all settings but couldnt connect to the Livebox at all.
I found a post about using a static IP to connect on another forum this actually had success in that it actually managed to connect to the Livebox and the internet but after a certain period the connection randomly seems to drop and after a while doesnt connect at all.
I havent changed any of the settings on the Livebox, I've tried almost everything on the M3100 but to no success.
If anyone has had success achieving this could they please let me know how they managed to do it.
All help appreciated and thanks in advance
Has you livebox got a button on it? If it has its the pairing buttonn... You need to hold that when pairing... I know you had to do that on the old wanadoo liveboxes...
Yes it has and i have been using it as per the instructions.
Thanks for your help
Has any1 else managed to use their SPV M3100 to access the web thru their Orange Unlimited Livebox if you have managed it can you please let me know how u managed it.
Thanks in advance again
Hi,
I have managed to get my 3100 working with my Orange Livebox.
Make sure you have pressed the pairing button on the livebox.
I found that I had to change the settings on my phone in the 'Configure Network Authentication' section to :
Authentication - OPEN
Data Encryption: WEP
and then enter the WEP key found on your Livebox.
Hope this helps,
Mark
Thanks Mark
I've done that already to no avail
Was there by chance anything else you did to the settings?

The above worked for me. I entered my key in capitals
Thanks everyone after some trial and error tests in a different environment i found the problem to be nothing more malicious than a simple Livebox wireless channel clash where i'm using the box is pretty densely residential and i think the sheer number of wireless networks made it impossible for my SPV 3100 to connect using the default wifi channel 1 after picking an ubscure channel (11 i think) i've had no problems and am actually posting this message using my 3100 through a wifi connection to my Livebox
Thanks again everyone

I have tried playing the wireless connection function of an ATOM black with a router the other day. The router is working properly which is being shared by few clients, and was set up with WPA-PSK (with either AES or TKIP); hence, I configure the ATOM black with WPA and TKIP but it kept connecting and disconnecting. Finally, I disabled the encryption with both router and ATOM and tried again. This time, the two devices talked to each other. Put the encryption back to the devices but failed the connection again. Think that WM5 is not geared up with wireless encryption. **Have not tried the OPEN, SHARED nor WPA though** --- Julian
Upgraded to WM6 still no WIFI access
Hi
Thanks for julian to try and help.
Since it was not working on WM5, i installed WM6.1 ROM on my phone using file PDAVIET_ROM_WM61_OS20755_ATOM_Sonblack.exe. Still I do not have ability to connect to my WIFI network. I see that under Network settings, even now for WPA and WPA-PSK only TKIP is listed.
Error i get is : "Network requires you a personal certificate to positively identify you"
My friend has HTC touch with same settings as mine and he can connect to WIFI. Is the O2 atom missing some modules. I find that my friend's mobile has AES encryption along with TKIP even though TKIP is being used.
How can I install WPA2 on the above ROM. That is one thing that HTC touch shows which my phone does not have as well.

I have not been following up the thread with PDAVIET WM6.1. So I cannot comment your problem.
You may want to access the following thread hope it will give you hint on your certificate problem.
Good luck,
Julian
I have the same problem anyone help?

Kaiser Wifi Network Error with certificates

Hi,
I'm using a MDA Vario III (HTC Tytn II).
I tried to connect to our Wifi-network in school, but I had do deactivate the security certificate(s), the administrator told me.
The authentification method is WPA and TKIP, while the key is given from the network automatically.
When I connect, i had to name my Username and the password, but 1 second later I get the errormessage, that I have the wrong security certificate.
My question: How / Where can I find / deactivate the certificates?
Sry for my bad english, I am german, but I hope that someone can help me to solve this problem.
I would be very very gratefully.
