i buy the c 800 / dopod in singapore with rom 1.7 while trying to update there's stopping in the 2% process with messages :

I tried to upgrate my device with your software. Unfortunately, it did not work properly. Everytime trying to update there's stopping in the 2% process with messages :
ERROR [294] : INVALID VENDER ID
Im very disappointed with my device bcoz its mobile window OS is in Dutch. Hence, i really dont know how to use it effectively. That's reason I am seeking for a upgrade ROM image. Please help me !!!!!!!!!!!
It would be very greatful if you help me to switch Dutch language into English for my HTC P4350 . I will be very happy to pay you by return. I'm looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Yes it would be nice if someone on this site would help with the problem above as I have the same on the Russian version of this PDA. You can only buy Russian version in Moscow

Prior to the ROMs being removed from the XDA ftp, i grabbed a complete backup of everything Herald related (and some other bits)
Currently running this ROM on both my own, and my girlfriends Herald, and it works like a charm.

it says invalid vendor id
and i tryed the other solution also and it didn't work

Well you got the answer than mate? because if you gonna say something about CID locking don't I can flash my CID-Unlocked T-mobile Artemis with about every ROM version and ROM language, but not the HTC ROM so can you help?

You can search the forum I m sure u will definetly find the correct english ROM for your model.Dont install the other models ROM...bymistake
Make sure its a NOVID i.e NO VENDOR ID. other wise you will get stuck at the BOOT Screen indicating just IPL SPL.
Make sure which MODEL YOU have is it G3 or G4.
read the wiki http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Prophet for more details.
make sure the ROM is WWE i.e World Wide English.
AnD finally make sure to backup all imp data before u FLASH.
Dont EVER UNPLUG THE Data Cable while in upgrade ..it might seem to be stuck at 2~3 times during flash.(around 80~90% of upgrade)

Thanks a lot to XDA..I finally was able to change language by flashing the ROM. .I faced a few hiccups but soon got over them.The flashing with the No Vendor Id went flawlessly.

Invalid vendor ID
This means your phone is locked for a particular country and the rom is not meant for that country.
If its P3400 u can do Hard Spl from Olipro thread

I will suggest to send a PM to CMONEX ... using MTTY and some commands (TASK xx) under hers supervision you should recover your device
