Jade - HardSPL

Hi,
can anyone help:
can I use HardSPL 3.XX even for Jade phone or what tool is suitable for Jade?
I am having ENG ROM and would like to go for new WWE one. I am not sure if I need to HardSPL it first or I can change new ROM just using RUU tool?

That rom from HTC is for the Middle East only and I can't download it with my HK serial number

hello need help obout updating htc hd2 rom

ok i just got new htc hd2 in croatia its unlocked with generic htc rom ,Rom is
1.48.479.1(71294) WWE says on phone ,but as i try to download new rom from htc site it wont allow me to download new 1.66 rom with my serial its says sorry this software is not suitable for your device but in that rom version it clearly says ROM Version:
Norway:1.66.409.1, Spain :1.66.412.1, Denmark:1.66.403.1, France :1.66.406.1,
Sweden:1.66.413.2, Italy:1.66.408.1, WWE:1.66.405.2
that WWE that means i should download it with no problems ,can anyone know what to do i emailed htc already ,what that WWE means and can anyone explain to me why they wont give me rom on my phone it says WWE and on that new rom it says WWE:1.66.405.2 so i relly dont get it anyone pls explain help really apriciated ty

Sounds to me like an eastern european rom, not a wwe. You will not be able to flash wwe as it is a different region. You need to go read and read and read teh HSPL threads.

yea but in phone it says WWE what u think will there be offical 1.66 for that part of europe or i need to hack it to install i am total nab obout it i just got it with 16gb micro sd i was reading here alot before i got it ,i just got it becose of that 1.66 rom that sms bug was keeping me away from buying it now when 1.66 was out i buy it and cant get 1.66 on it lol damm htc well ill go read hspl threads but will i lose my warranty and will anything be difrent as that other roms are for other regions

You won't lose your warranty because the are directions on how to get the spl back.

Problem need help htc hd2

Hello how are you. my htc hd2 had the 1.66 so i decided to down grade it back to 1.48 downloaded the wwe Leo 1.48 ROM then did what everything on the video put the sd card in then hold voldown and power button then it loaded then waited screen went off then triangle came up then it says not allow
now the phone cant even boot back to the main page like i cant diel phone calls i remove the sd card
and try turn on phone but triangle on screen thats it...
plz help

you have used the wrong rom. you need to find an original rom for your region and provider. (example if your phone is german and vodafone then you need the vodafone german rom)
once you find the correct rom do what you did last time and it will start.

oh in that case it is easy.
go to rom development section, find the "leo official roms" thread, look in first post first link.the rom you need says o2 in the name.
if you are trying to downgrade so you can put hspl on your phone look in the 1.43 folder)

there isn't an O2 1.48 ROM in the 4Shared folder, only their 1.43 one

o2 uk have only released one rom. no 1.48, no 1.66, only 1.43...are you sure your phone is an actual o2 phone? did you buy outright from o2? car phone warehouse perhaps?

i just bought the phone on ebay and it was already 1.66 he said he done this update thru htc and he says he got it on carphone wherehouse but im using an 02 sim not sure if its simlocked

OK, so it isn't an o2 locked rom. It should be a wwe one.

That is the 1.43 wwe rom. download, extract the ruu_signed.nbh, copy to sd card, reboot into bootloader, if it flashes, all good. You can then instal hspl, and flash any rom you like BY USB.
Sim lock is nothing to do with rom lock.

Why would we want to downgrade the ROM version??
(Beside of the need to send it to the repair of course)

so that you can instal HSPL and flash other roms. (HSPL needs SPL 1.42 or it wont instal)

Hi,
I need to send my Vodafone NLD branded* HTC HD2 in for repairs (see this thread). Problem is I've HSPL'ed it and installed a newer unbranded rom -1.48.404.2 (71294) NLD with radio 2.06.51.07-, still wanted to upgrade to a newer ROM bud didn't bother because everything worked fine and I had to erase everything. 'T was the newest when I got the HD2...
I only did this because the unbranded ROM was stuck at 1.43 (and still is!)
So, does anyone know where I can find the official branded Vodafone NL 1.43 (or newer!) rom so I can restore my SPL with a MicroSD card flash?
Alternatively, does anyone know either:

How I can create a goldcard (I won't mind to pay a few bucks) which will restore the SPL and will restore the ROM to a version that has a high/99,9% chance to fool the repair centre?
Know how I can dump a ROM of a HD2? (I couldn't find it anywhere). I might be able to find someone who has a branded Vodafone NL HD2 and didn't "hack" it. I could then dump the rom and use it to flash my device. Ofcourse if that is succesful I'll also make the ROM available for download!

* Actually its pretty stupid they branded it, they even promised they wouldn't do it anymore. The only change I could detect was the Vodafone logo and sound that was visible during boot (instead of the normal HTC screen with ROM info etc.)

To clarify: this is about a branded Dutch version by Vodafone (NL branch). If you have Vodafone UK or ordered the English version from Vodafone NL (which is exactly the same as the Vodafone UK version) you can use one of these roms:
Vodafone UK Official signed 1.43 (origional ROM)
Vodafone UK Official signed 1.66) (1.66 ROM released on 22 Feb 2010)

Hmm if this is correct I could do what I want with a goldcard right? I would create a goldcard with the official unbranded 1.43 ROM and restore the origional SPL, radio and ROM. Thus the only difference they would notice is the unbranded ROM/OS/Splashscreen, but if I'm correct they mainly check if a HSPL is installed right?

Okay, so I found webpatrick who was willing to dump his ROM
But how do I now make a flashable rom out of it? (e.g. the standard flashable .exe installer or a flashable leoimg.nbh)
I've found some information on how to do it (for thopaz and rhodium), but I can't get it clear enough for me to work.
So to clarify, I would like
1. As close to the origional as possible
2. At least the origional SPL (1.42 I think)
3. Splashscreen would be a pré
3. OS Rom would be fine, but I think it is 100% the same from the official HTC
4. Radio doesn't really matter to me, but to get the origional I would like it

Maybe good good to know HSPL2 is out, now it can revert to original SPL, so maybe bepe can help you reverting to NLD Vodafone SPL.
edit: Sorry the release notes say that you can only flash an original SPL using an official ROM.

I saw it, and it's good news. The only thing I'd like is the vodafone splash screen back, which is in te ROM. Otherwise I'm just going to return it saturdat with the SPL reverted to 1.42 through HSPL2

To be honest im glad i got my HD2 before it was officially available in the Netherlands, if i break it, i can send it straight to HTC, also, it didn't have any crappy branding or anything.
Then again i had to pay (quite some) for it, where as you new NLD hd2 users prolly didn't (or only a little)

Great news: HTC has released an upgrade for Vodafone branded HD2's itself
The version is branded 1.72.172.0.

HTC Hd2 from HK

Good morning,
I'm here in HK for a long period and I'd like to buy a HTC HD2 here that is cheaper than in Italy.
My only concern is that if I can flash it without problem in order to use a new cooked ROM in italian .
What does it mean WWE ? I read WWE in some ROM but I don't known what it means

Hi friend, WWE stands for world wide English....I also bought my HD2 from Hongkong, and the original ROM installed is also the WWE version, means everything is in English, not in Hongkong's native language...Flashing to another ROM is not a problem, just make sure you follow the procedure correctly (HSPL, etc..etc...)
