Now I know this is a novas question at best and its probable been covered already but I don’t know how to fix this. First I was experiencing what I believe to be radio issues, like I had a fully functional sim card in my Hermes but I was not receiving and service anywhere, only had this problem with the Hermes other phones where fine. I tried to do the wm6 rom update but I kept getting an error I think it was 262, so then I downloaded spl 2.10 in an effort to just update the radio, and as I went one to install radio rom 1.40 I kept e getting another error and now my Hermes has been stuck in the boot loader for 2 days, can someone please tell me how to get out of the boot loader and how to get my radio working again.

Well this is the first time I've been unlucky for once. I've just finished cooking up some Rom for my ATT Siemens SX56. I was using the WM2003SE upgrading from PPC2002. I have a feeling that I did something wrong here and I'm guessing that I can't upgrade from PPC2002 and only WM2003? Well I'm not quite sure since I'm new to this. I successfully always upgraded the rom until now. After powering up, it started hanging at the startup logo with the version of the radio stack I think.
G1.3.3
UA.33
3.04
I've tried using ActiveSync and of course it didn't work. The cradle or A.S. did not recognize the device. Tried using XDATool, none. Is there anyway I could go around the ActiveSync?
Use sd card method for flashing.
tried that and it didn't work. I tried almost any methods out there. I tired upgrading from the original ATT Rom PPC2002 to the Special Edition 1.2 Rom and it still didnt work. What's odd is... I can't get my WM2003 to work anymore! When I first started upgrading the rom, I upgraded using SE 1.2, then downgrade to the original ATT rom back to the WM2003 which actually worked fine until I got piss at the radio stack and downgrade back to the PPC2002 but once I tried upgrading to WM2003SE, it didnt work at all which brought me to downgrade back to PPC2002 again and tried upgrading to WM2003 (ATT Version) which still didn't worked. I've tried upgrading the radio stack 6.24 and 6.25 and radio stack that would be compatible for the SX56 still didnt work. Even downgrading my bootloader from 5.22 to 5.15, it still didn't work. It's really odd... Can ANYONE help me?
I have similar problem, I have Qtek 1010 and I can put original rom on only (2002). I have had 2003 on there before and it worked fine but I have tried everything and nothing seems to work, all the 2003 and 2003se rom will not go past the boot screen.
Is your phone working at all.
My phone is perfectly fine, I'm just trying anyway to resolve that booting problem and so far, I'm getting no good results out of it... This is totally driving me nuts!
I tried neally every rom and I can't get any to work on my Qtek except the original 2002 Carrier device Rom...... I don't understand why we could both upgrade before with no worries and now it just will not work....
PLEASE HELP SOMEONE.....
THANKS
Well, so far I tried another rom, an older one and I still didn't get it to work... SD Flashing... The normal method with ActiveSys, it still didn't work. There has to be a reason to why this isn't working. Does ANYONE out there know whats going on here?!
Ive been having some problems off and on with my phone not getting any service. I would restart the phone and it would work for a while. But now I cannot get service anywhere and the phone seems to not work at all.
Has anyone else experienced this or are there any tricks to try and fix this. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as the device seems to be now useless. Thanks
Yep, same with me. I've just upgraded ROM to Faria's last version and still not working the dam phone func
My provider is Vodafone-PT, and i have a Dual Simcard. Even when the other sim is off (unregistered on the vdf network) my hermes simply doesn't register. Not even the emergency number calls are avaiable!!! However, all the other funcs are working fine.
I think it is a softw issue, but i'm still not getting to the point to solve this problem...hope some masters can help us.

plenty of things you can try and troubleshoot with, hard reset, check for bad blocks, flash new radio/ROM.
As XtreMe_G said. I've been running Faias for the last week or two with no radio problems. HR problems, now thats another story. Mke me wanna go back to wm06.
...my problem now is WORST...i've tried to downgrade SPL to unlock CID and SIM, but for somehow the active sync crashed during the rom upgrade. Now i only see the tricolor screen, and active sync doesn't recognize my term!!!
The tri-color screen is bootloader mode and active sync will not recognize your device at this point. Start the ROM upgrade again and go through it. Sometimes the cooked ROMs might flash otherwise always, shipped roms are capable of being flashed from bootloader itslef.

Man, I didn't even plan to have alliteration, and there it is!
So, I have had my cingular 8525 for about a year right now, and in the last 2 weeks or so I have been getting some bad problems popping up. For some background, I bought the phone in Texas and was using it on the cingular network for some time when they switched to the AT&T network. I flashed VP3G's AT&T roms using hardSPL and they worked well for some time. Then, I came to Europe to do a semseter abroad. I unlocked my phone using some software I found here on the forums (don't remember exactly what it was) and got an 02 SIM card. Everything went fine, was working well until I went on holiday to Europe. I didn't really use my phone much there because it was so expensive, but as soon as I got back I started to have problems.
For about a week, my phone would just drop in and out of service in places that it had not had any trouble working in before. What would happen is, in the place where there is normally the bars for reception, there would simply be an exclamation point and any time I would try to make a call it would fail, sometimes with a message, sometimes without. Then a couple of seconds later, I would have full service again, then it would go to the exclamation point again, full service, etc. It just kept cycling through them.
So, I came to my trusty forums here to try and figure out what was wrong. I flashed a different radio (from 1.47.30.10 to 1.48.0.0) which didn't fix it. I tried downgrading my SPL from hardSPL to 1.04, then upgrading back to the most recent hardSPL v7, which didn't work. I tried putting a new OS on it, the 19900 build, which didn't work. I tried switching the radio back, which didn't work. Then I started noticing that when I was starting up my phone, I was getting a 'no GSM' dialog where it used to say the radio version. I searched around the forums, finding some different solutions for the no GSM problem, and decided to try completly reflashing to an AT&T shipped rom.
So, I downloaded the ROM from the HTC site, downgraded my SPL to 1.04 again, and started the flash process. At 11% it stopped and had an error, and after that it wouldn't leave bootloader mode. I again searched the forum and tried to use MTTY to fix it. The command 'set 14 0' didn't work but 'set 16 0' did.
Now, my phone boots again, but it starts up with the AT&T screen, then goes into the 19900 build OS. As it stands now, I still keep dropping in and out of service, but I am afraid to try any more fixes for fear that I will screw something up again (like locking it in bootloader mode). Any ideas of the next step I should take to fix my (probably) corrupt radio?
OS: PDAVIET build 19900
Radio: 1.47.30.10
IPL: 1.03 (from failed AT&T flash)
SPL: 1.11 (from failed AT&T flash)
Update: I just soft reset my phone, and now the 'phone' feature of it won't even turn on when I select it in the comm manager!
Update update: As I was writing this, the phone just turned itself back on without me trying to in the comm manager. Maybe its just possessed, and I should seek the help of a priest!
1). Have you tried taking out the battery for a while? It seems that the hard reset is somewhat different from the soft reset and can fix this...
2). Check for bad blocks with MTTY... Remember though that sometimes the carriers put in "Bad Block" to brand the phone as theirs...
3). Try flashing a stock rom then reflashing wm6.1. This seems to help a hell of a lot of people fix the HR problem.
Hope these help you.... Cheers.
Hi.
Well this is the problem. I have a sx66 and no mather wath radio version i flash., no mather how many times i run the xdadev_all_unlock-v1.6 and xdadev_all_unlock-v1.5 it stills locked.
When i run the xdadev_all_unlock-v1.6 is shows that the cellphone is unlocked but when i place my sim card it stills say “invalid sim card”, i tried with ten sim in while running the program and with the sim out as well and its the same.
I repeat the unlocking process with all radio versions from R_1.06.02 to Radio_1.15 type I and II, and again “invalid sim card”.
Oh yea and i read all the wiki and all the threads, maybe i lost something.
Can someone help me please???
Thts the end of the line my friend..i too had a similar problem with my Hima..unfortunately i had to replace it
Have you tried flashing back to WM2003?
Upgrade the Radio to 1.15
then upgrade to WM5/6
Regards
David
I had a similar (not the same though) problem in the past: what I suggest is that you go back to WM2003 (you'll hopefully find out that your fone is unlocked), then upgrade your radio to 1.15 and you can upgrade to WM5/6/6.1 (as you wish)...
Hope this helps
Hi,
I have an Orange M3100 which has been flashed to WM6.5 and works fine, other than on boot up it intermittently gives NO GSM errors - despite this, the phone works fine, it is almost like the radio doesn't initialise quick enough. Anyway, I decided to unlock this phone and the unlocker v3a software bricked it, so I reflashed and all was well (but still locked). I have since tried flashing a variety of radio roms using my pc in an attempt to get rid of this error, using SD card method but all of them hang/fail when it comes to updating the GSM rom. I'm currently running the 1.47 radio rom.
Does anyone have any ideas of what I can do? I have tried to revert back to the original Orange rom to no avail (can't flash GSM), have tried the trick with mtty and erasing certain areas of rom to no avail, is it screwed? I just can't understand why the phone works fine, yet I can't reprogram the radio rom!
Cheers

hermes has two cpus, one is for multimedia, the other is for gsm(radio),if the on gsm problem occurs sometimes, it must be hardware problem, dad sodering,if the problem is always no gsm ,then it software problem, hope it could help you. i think yours is hardware,
