Hey Guys,
i thought about to realize sth to have backlight on the hardware keys.do u think this is possible with a little LED or sth.?

The thing that turns the backlight on is a hardware switch, so no tweak in the software will affect this. Thus you have a hardware fault - probably with the switch less likely the leds. If its under warranty consider returning it. I would first check under the device in the keyboard mechanism in case any fluff etc.. has got in.

I just purchased a used 8525 over ebay...
I was just wondering which buttons are supposed to light up when using the phone?
Currently, only the ON and OFF telephone buttons light up as well as the keyboard...
Is this normal or are the buttons corresponding to the soft button also supposed to light up?

I just got one too, and now that you mention it, it looks like they should light up, doesn't it?
Mine don't either.
Sorry guys...only buttons that light up are the green and red phone buttons...the rest is by feel

hi, my 8525 screen's backlight doesnt work so i thought to fix this problem is to get a replacement screen. install the replacement screen today and still the backlight doesnt work!! can someone please help me!! i dont know what else to do!

do you guys think its possible its the flex cable the is causing the backlight not to come on? is there auto thingy for the screen's backlight like the keyboard's backlight that automaticly turns it on? i'm stumped i don't know want to do... someone please help me..

Disabled the auto senor in start\settings\personal\buttons\backlight
My backlight, the lights for the menu and back bottons, are getting weaker as compared to a new SGS. is this an effect of the BLN? or maybe a hardware malfunction. is anyone else having this problem? PLEASE REPLY!
