Hello all,
Please don't flame me for this simple question, I did a search but couldn't find the answer
I just purchased a used 8525 over ebay...
I was just wondering which buttons are supposed to light up when using the phone?
Currently, only the ON and OFF telephone buttons light up as well as the keyboard...
Is this normal or are the buttons corresponding to the soft button also supposed to light up?
Thanks.
Good question...
I just got one too, and now that you mention it, it looks like they should light up, doesn't it?
Mine don't either.
Sorry guys...only buttons that light up are the green and red phone buttons...the rest is by feel
Thanks for the info dwcliff703
Just wanted to make sure my 8525 wasn't defective.
Thanks again

Hi there, just got my K-jam.
The phone buttons light up, and the keyboard, but I was wondering if the buttons above the phone buttons (the smart / menu buttons) should light up also, they have cut outs but it does not light (on mine any how ;-) )
any comments would be great.
come on guys - you are reading this, and no one is posting - surely one of you has a wizard
No, they do not light up. They are NOT cut outs, but rather silk-screen printings.
Hello,
I own a Qtek 9100 and i believe it has worked, but now the softkeys do not lightup when using, only the phone keys light up. Is there a way to correct this? Is iut my imagination and it never worked?
Your experts help is much appreciated.

I believe soft keys never light up...
I believe soft keys never light up...
indeed they do not
I had somewhat hoped that e.g. the messaging button (top-left) would light up if you had a new message, myself - but alas The buttons are non-transparent, so even if there were a little LED behind them, you wouldn't see it :>

That's an awesome idea! You should work for HTC
I know, right? And have the PIE / T-Mobile hotspot (silly branding!) one light up if your wifi is on and a publically accessible hotspot is within range. Whee!
meh, anyway 8)
Hello,
I just got an MDA from t-mobile off of Ebay. I was able to unlock it and everything seems to be working fine.
I am just wondering if the "messaging", "internet explorer” and the two buttons above the call and end buttons are suppose to light up. It looks as if they are suppose to, but they are not on mine.. Is there a setting or something I need to do???
Thank you all again for your help!!!
They don't light up unfortunately.
When connected to Bluetooth, should there not be a blue light either on or flashing, on my Topaz, the left hand to the top speaker is the charging orange light but i thought the other side lit blue when bluetooth is activated apparently the other side is just a sensor and does not light up at all, IS THIS CORRECT? or does my phone have a fault? It is brand new and came loaded with 6.5, appreciate any help?
GD
there is no blue light on the topaz, you do not have a fault

Sorry for my bad english.
So I will start new.
Is it possible to syncron the leds for the buttons with the leds on the display. So both lights goes off and on in the same time!
Also I have problems with the “Send Key” and “End Key”. Often, when I get a inCall I push the sendkey-button (but I have the phone in the trouser pocket)! So any solution to lock the buttons from the phone with the display in same time!
Regards

Not sure, but i think he/she wants a SW answer-key, and disable the HW buttons.
Hi, i think he just want to have the keypad on, with the screen.
Isn't it ?
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
He wants the led's of the keypad (send, end, back, home) to turn on and off in unison with the screen, and to disable the send key's function of answering calls.
Dont you guys speak gibberish?
Just playin'
But unfortunately, I know of no way of making either of these things possible.
The led's took the dev's a decent amount of work just to get them working as well as they do now.
And maybe theres an app that disables the send key answer function, but I am unaware of it.
for leds light right. i have for the old winmobile a patch to get the lights syncron with display!
best
