as far as I know and am using, I always have to copy it to my PC, and use ACDSee to view the meta tags information. Find geotag in ACDSee to retrieve the Lat/Long information

Download any exif viewer. Search for "exif viewer".

If you upload them to a picasa webalbum it will geotag them all on a map for you automatically

You could try vito navigator. It saves to a log but you will then have to use a utility like GPSbabel to convert from one format to another.
You could also do it with GPSGate from franson.
Re: GPS tracking
Thanks for all the suggestions, I'm checking these software packages out right now. Cgrillo, I've tried to sign up on whereismygps.net , but never recieved an email after I registered.

Sorry, I didn't explain it fully.
The grillo.biz site is mine, but the whereismygps.net site is someone else's site - but they both use my software for the PDA.

Garmin Que tracks logs. It comes with the Garmin GPS 10.

[Q] Save Map Location

Can anyone tell me how to save a map location in Google maps for future use???
I was at a vary remote address and I wanted to save the location but I don't know how. Its not giving me the option to add it to my favorites only shear. I had to email it to my self then access it this way.
I would love to have it in my favorites list so I can access it quickly.

Photos with contextual filenames but no EXIF data

I've been transferring photos from my Samsung S4 to my Mac pro computer and have encountered the following problem:
Photos with a contextual filename show up as TextEdit files, without any GPS coordinates when I click on 'get info'.
Any photo without a contextual filename is saved as JPEG and allows me to see the lat. and lon. coordinates.
Why would a contextual filename remove any location information? Can I recover the EXIF data?
