Managed to get my 8gb card running (cheers for files) but my Nav n Go Igo8 wont run now, have put tomtom 7 on there but like Igo8, got used to it and the camera warnings
have uninstalled reinstalled, no luck
Any ideas?

Cmon guys helmp me out.
I used iGo 8 before on my 1 Gb card but since i install sdhc patch igo dosen't work.
When i uninstall it works.
I wanna use my 4 gb card ...

On their website it can be read:
"* Important! Please, be advised that the software runs only on the original SD memory card. "

My apologies if this has already been covered, did a search and didn't see an answer to my question.
I've just installed TomTom 4.4 on my WM5 device. It seems TomTom will only recognize a map if I install to the device itself (ROM) and not the storage card. Everything seems to go ok during the install process when installing to the card but then TomTom won't recognize that a new map is present once I launch the program and tell it to "switch maps," I only see the map I have installed in ROM, not the one in the storage card. This is obviously a big problem since maps can be over 100 megs and there's no way I can fit that in ROM. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Edit: gps.cab, ttn.cab, and the voice .cab file were all installed to the storage card if that helps any
TomTom 4.4 was not designed to work with WM5...
As far as I knew only tomtom v5.1 works.
however there were problems with the maps, whereby I had to take my mem card out of my pro, put in a mem card reader, then run the setup disc, and install to other location, this should bring up the removable drive as an option to install to.
worked for me, but I installed ver 5.1

I can not speak for the 4gb SDHC cards but I used a 4gb standard miniSD card in my 6945 no problems.

none of the stores here sell regular 4gb. all of them have SDHC. that's why i need to know before buy one

Hi everyone,
I finally bought a kingston 4gb miniSDHC and tried it on on own ipaq 6955 ( rogers branded ).
1- without the driver the card is unrecognized
2 - after installing the driver, it fully detect the card and showed 3.9gb avaialable space and it worked really fast .
3 - after a while I noticed that my programs which installed on the card in not working ( it worked at the begining ) .
4 - everytime I took the card out and insert it again, the problem was solved for few hours and again it came back
5 - the reason was it browse the card and show the folders but when I tried to see the files in the folders, it showed all the folders empty!!!!!
6 - I fromated the disk bye fat, partitioned it and steel the same,
7 - last thing I did today is that I format 2 partitions using FAT instead of FAT32.
it workes fine now, but i'll give u and update soon .
I still dont know if it is the card problem or driver problem, because i dont have any other cards ( 4gb minisdhc ) to try .
wait for more updates
I changed my card with different card ( same brand ) 4gb kingston minisdhc and still the same problem .
any sugestions ?

the panasonic utility say it won't compateble with either card or my reader!

AS far as using the software (told you i'm using 2g ultra)
but i was thinkin of one more thing due to your report
power Management
i found the reg value on the 6800 ,i know it is not the same location but it is a start
try to see if you can get it for a better Management settings for the card

which driver did you use?
I remember reading that the 4Gb miniSD cards are unreliable in the 69xx...
there IS a list of what does and doesn't work, I think it was a HP based forum, a bit of googling should bring it up...
As far as i remember reading, the SDHC cards arent supporting in the 69xx
Ive not tried one, im happy with the 2gb minisd.

i tested several ones .
the one is installing on my phone currently is ( SDHC Support Kit hurricane and QTEK9100 ) which i downloaded from this forum

thanks for your reply. i think the registry you mentioned is the key . i worked on it for several days and still i can't figure out what settings i need to use but i think the registry you mentioned will one day solve this problem.

can u please let me know which driver exatly u installed and if you replaced the two dll files or not ?
also what is your 4gb card and what brand is it .

I have my HTC 8125 with the upgrade of wm6 and the iphone theme.... and it was working perfect until I install a program that I found in this page:

I was trying to read sdhc memories so I try that program... well.. I install it and I couldnt read the shdc memory and then I try to come back to my old memory (and SD of 1 gb) and it couldnt read it too... so I try uninstalling the software but its the same... so.. at this point I reinstall the sofware and again uninstall but nothing happends the phone cant read my normal memory (SD), I think maybe is a driver thing... but Im not sure...
does someone have any suggestions?

what is the make, model and capacity of the card dude?
the card that I normally use is a Sandisk MicroSD 1gb with an adapter for miniSD....
The card that I was trying to use with the upgrade is a Sandisk MicroSDHC 4gb
The wifi doesnt work too... now I cant use the memory card slot and the wifi.... please help me with this...

I tried to look at previous posts but could'nt find solution. Sorry if it is already discussed.
I purchased Telstra HD2 with US 830 3g band and then Hard SPLd it and flashed 1.66 Leo HTC Rom.
I have been now unable to locate or reinstall IGO8 navigation software from the microsd card. It was fine with telstra ROM.
I now do not have the ability to use windows marketplace.
Any programs that can I can install to further improve this beautiful phone?

When you say you are unable to locate or reinstall IGO8 navigation software from the microsd card do you mean that its not on the storage card anymore or that you get an error when trying to install it?

chances are you have the maps on the storage card and the program was integral with the rom your hd2 was using.. unless you can find it as a cab file i would say your not going to get it again.. you could always look at getting something like tomtom, garmin or co pilot.. there not real expensive but you could always get them through aternative sources if you know where to look!
as for ms marketplace, just re download the cab file, google marketplace and the link is easily available!
the file seems to be there on my microsd card. I eject and put it back in its slot expecting it to get reinstalled but that is not happening.
I guess I am a fool when it comes to finding stuff. I will truly appreciate if you can help.

Hey there, doctor here too. Make sure to get offline uptodate on your HD2! If you're lucky you'll be able to get it via the institution you work for....
igo auto installation works only when you have a folder in your storage card with the name 2577 and in that map a file called autorun.exe
if you have a folder with iGO8 on storage card ...see if there's a iGO.exe in it.
press on it and igo runs

I realise that English is probably not your first language, but we need a bit more information before anyone can help you.
Which Nand build did you install?
Which sdcard are you using?
Did you backup and format the sdcard and try again?

Try going in settings>sd&phone storage and mount/unmount the card and see if this works for you.
There were other posts here with the same problem, try searching this forum and see if someone fixed it.
also check if its formated as fat32.
when i go to setting---sd card and phone memory---ifound the devise not descover sd card ((but the same card work with wm6.5))
i search for 3 days in the web to fix the problem
((many of the users with the same problem))

Do a hard reset. /format the card - find the panasonic format utility - do a search here/ flash radio 2.15.50.14. Flash hspl 2.08. Flash Magldr. Flash another NAND Android and see if there is still the same problem.
You can skip all but flashing a new build, but the problem might be somewhere in there.
This should clean the whole device and might fix the problem.

I`ve had the same problem with 8 gb Kingston class4 microSD. Search "Panasonic SD Formater" on google, download, and format you memory card with it. it worked for me, I hope it will work for you too. Good luck
