Not sure if something like is already available in terms of a package but I thought it would be nice.
yeah there is something like this i hink it was called debarron opera backup, or something like that, not sure where i say it thouh sorry mate.
ok try this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=466509
go to windows\opera9 and copy\backup the opera6.adr file.
That's all you need as far as "backing up" your bookmarks.

ditto
and using "Notepad 2", you can easily edit the file on your PC if you want.
Cheers...
Thanks guys... great tip. If you flash your ROM's as often as I do, this little back up will come in very handy. I've lost track of the number of times I've re-entered my favourites into Opera!

Hello!
Is there any standalone cab or reg fix so you can have the name of the program under the icon in the Program tab?
EDIT: and when you go into Program from the start menu, can you move the icons in there to a specific map so you can get the program view a little more organized?
You can move all the programs around and rename the files by using total commander or resco file explorer.
I have done this to organise the folder into many sub-folders.
Thank you Dave!
Now for the name under program tabs, couple of cooked roms that have the feature in them so there should be a easy way like a cab or a reg-hack

Sorry - I meant the program view in the START menu not the TAB (you had both).
I don't now use the program TAB in TF3D as I have all the programs organised in sub-folders under windows\programs and windows\office mobile.
I use that with quick menu and it's so much faster for my many apps (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3117017&highlight=secondtoday#post3117017 - it's grown since then !!)

Yeah, I realized that you mean't the ones that you access by the start menu and got it fixed, just need the solution for my main issue. Will try yours though, but if anyone know how to fix the names please tell anyway!

Yeah I know, installed it right away when it came but there were a few things on there that didn't suited me (big props to duffy anyway) so I would really like to have a solution that doesn't require a whole rom.
I just can't find the dang buggers!
I want to be able to cab all my settings back in. I've already got most manila config stuff (registry), but I just can't find opera's bookmarks, only the homepage. Since I've got a load of bookmarks, it's very tedious having to put them all back in after a ROM flash.
Who can help me?
The file is called Opera6.adr and it is in the application data\opera9 directory on your device.

I saw an Opera9 map in \Application data, but I don't know which file(s) contain the bookmarks. It may be in there though, in stead of in the registry. I'll try to find them and report back here.
edit: I see someone beat me to that . Thx for clearing it up, now I now which file to backup (in stead of the whole directory)

Interesting, turns out this file was located in \windows\Opera9 for me. That used to be the fix to show bookmarks in the opera tab in TF3D, which doesn't seem to work anymore anyway
It's not encoded/encrypted, so wordpad opens it just fine. Each bookmark has two values of which I can't determine the value;
ID==12 (why 12 and not 1?)
CREATED==1236695305 (I'd guess when it's created, but that doesn't look like a date/time.)
Anyone know what the rules are? Else I'll have to input them on my phone which takes more time.
At least I know which file to look for now, thanks!
EDIT: I modified ID to 1 and CREATED to 0000000001 and it works just fine, easy!

Opera Mobile is a major pain to get bookmarks into. I had to install opera on my pc and import my ie faves into it. You can then copy the opera9.ard file from your desktop opera to your x1.

Hmmm there's one too.... probably the one in \Application data was from another build, or used in another rom. Now I've got my bookmarks back also

What did you do to get the bookmarks showing again?
---
A related question: Where are passwords etc. stored? I'd guess in the other .adr files. It would be nice to have such things saved as well. I'm going to check all the files and see what they do ^^
EDIT: My bad, there is no other .adr files.. only encrypted .dat files...

Could I get that in a simplified version? This is something I would really like to be able to do.
Here are some globes custom made to fit the TF3D internet tab. Qtc file is yet to be made but this is an easy quicker way of doing this. Please correct if you feel like there is a mistake made.. because where all here to learn right?! plus this looks aswome!

Then--Follow my pics.
Last--After save as, Drag file back to where you got it from. Overwrite Existing
file and your done.
*you dont have to restart your phone just go to the homescreen then back to internet tab.
I love the black firefox. if i had kept the icon i'd definately use that. saved in case i go back to using it.
I didn't have a \Application Data\Manila\ but I remember some time ago I opened a manila file called 27c65cbd_manila and it had the things for the internet globe picture and selected. I changed those strings there and it works nice.
Hi all,
I've got an app that includes a send/receive using MessagingApplication.Synchronize(). It works fine, but shows the inbox and this has to be closed manually. Ideally I'd rather just not have anything visible.
Does anyone know any way to do this?
Thanks in advance
You could use Mortscript. I have Blackberry Connect on my TD2. Every time I soft reset, I get a new email in the System folder. I don't want to bother to delete this manually, so I use Mortscript to delete it. To do this, I run send/receive (from Mortscript) and then exit the email again using Mortscript. Here is the words you will need to add to your mortscript. If you are not familiar with this program, please google mortscript.
Run("Program Files\SendRecieveAll.exe")
Sleep ( 3000 )
MouseClick 455,27
I have put it in a mortscript file for ease. If you download mortscript and then use file explorer to click on the attached file, it should work. I have tested it.
Edit - this is assuming you have put the SendReceiveAll.exe in your Program folder on your device, if not then do that. By the way, unzip the attachment. By the way, where in England is "Twatt"? I think I'd like that place, but is it wet there??

Oh how ironic! Lol
Thanks a lot for the suggestion mate. I was actually looking for a way of doing a send/receive for all email accounts. I'd got that far, but it insisted on showing the inbox while it was doing it, and I wanted it to be invisible, hence this thread.
From your post though, I noticed that you were pointing at an application that does exactly that!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=501254
Thanks mate - you've pointed me in the right direction and stopped me inventing the wheel.... AGAIN!
Oh yeah.... here's Twatt. It's usually wet, but the weather's really terrible for a week every month

Oh, how funny (where you live)!
The SendReceiveAll program is very good. It's not invisible though and it does not exit the email after running hence the mortscript.... Just close your eyes after running it and you will never know it ran at all, except you will have new emails.....
I'm looking for some cabs:
1. A cab that will allow me to select more than one file to copy/cut/paste
2. How to make the lists in folders smaller (as in the Energy Roms)
That's it...unfortunately, don't know their names-hence my issue in finding them.
Currently running Xanny Evo 17b

1. You mean like a file explorer which allows you to select one than one file?
Resco explorer (3rd party app), file explorer 2 and I think total commander and basic file explorer on most roms also does this
2. Some file explorers you can change view in options or do you mean amount of files in programs etc. If the latter you create more folders like 'tweaks' etc in /windows/start menu/programs and then move your desired file into this folder
Thanks, but let me clarify...
You (and I) both use Xanny. What do you use to select more than one file in a folder (music, for example)? It's irritating copying/pasting/cutting only one file at a time.
As for #2, I would.like to get rid of the finger friendliness when listing files. With Xanny, for example, all files have a double space between them,.and the font is relatively large.(for ease of choosing). At this time, only 7 items can be seen at a time. Would like it single spaced.

Well to be honest I use Resco Explorer to select more than one file. You can either select all or use the 'multi-selection' mode. Open your folder containing music, then go to menu > edit > multi-selction mode then select the files you want before you either move, copy, run them etc
Thought i'd post in here as I'm looking for some cabs too. I've searched for 3 days and it's time to ask. Can anyone please tell me the name of the program that adds the buttons to the bottom of the home screen like this >screenshot< shows (camera, opera and comm manager buttons)? I'm sure everyone knows the name... except me.
I've searched for maxmanilla, home plugins, home buttons, sense ui, etc. and I've found pics of this all over the forums but haven't been able to find the exact name of this cab/program/plugin, without installing a whole new rom.
Cheers.

With regard to stuntdouble's question: There is no cab to enable the shortcuts, you will need to update your ROM to one of the 6.5.x HTC Sense versions that have that as a feature. Look in the Roms section and pick out something that looks good to you. But don't ask which one is best, as it's all a matter of taste.

Backup your ROM and try one for the heck of it. If you don't like it, reflash Topix and restore the backup. Nothing lost, but some quality family time...and who doesn't have that to spare
Total Command also allows multiple file selection. However I've only been able to access the feature in landscape mode. I haven't really delved into it too much.
Flip to landscape, click on "Ctrl" (a new button that appears in the toolbar) and you'll be able to select more than one file.
