video call option problem after hotfix - Touch HD General

Well i think it happened after i installed the new Hotfix that improves the slide feature because i don't remember seeing this before installing it.
The problem is when i press the phone button, my video calling logo has "Call History" written over it. Now of course before i pressed it, the "Talk" changed to something else so i can make a video call.
Now whenever i press it, i go into call history.
Even going to Menu>Video Calling makes a normal phone call.
What do i do?
I even uninstalled the hotfix but the problem still exists, though the slide problem is now gone so i'm guessing the uninstall didn't work.

I have the exact same issue.

Same here!

Help! XDA2 doesn't respond to incoming calls

Hi,
Recently I have noticed a problem with my XDA II. When an incoming call comes in the phone does nothing. No ring or incoming call message on the screen. If I call my phone from my land line it rings and rings and never even goes to voice mail! If I press the answer button while doing this, the XDA2 suddenly starts ringing for a second and then it goes to voice mail. The phone then reports I have missed a call. If I then press the answer button to make a call, the phone goes haywire and plays the "missed a call" sound 3 or 4 times and then flashes the led. If I clear the missed call report and press the answer button again it does the same thing again.
If I soft reset the phone it is ok again, but eventually this problem comes back again.
It has only recently started doing this. The first time I noticed the problem was when I was setting up a photo contact for the first time. I have since retored an old sprite backup from what I believe was before the problem started but I am still seeing the same issue. I tried disabling IA_Callerid process on boot and a few other processes (down to 16 processes) but this hasn't helped either.
The main apps I have running are :
SPB Pocket Plus
GPRS Monitor
Wizbar Advance
XCPUscalar
Resco Keyboard
PIEplus
Has anyone else seen this problem before or know what could be causing it? Its totally weird. O2 support didn't have a clue either. I really don't want to have to hard reset my phone and install everything again :?
Many thanks,
Richard.
Do uninstall Wisbar, and possibly try their latest beta' release.

universal call answering delayed..

whenever i click the recieve calls on my universal, i'll click the answer button.. and realize that it takes a lil longer for it to actually connect the call..
anyone here have the same problem here? any solutions??
tend to find it depends on:
1. THe phone skin you are using
2. Ring tone specific to each user
3. Caller id picture displays
4. Large ring tones
5. Other apps running simultaneously
6. How long since your last rom update
I think you will find that everydody experiences a 1 second to 2 second maximum delay
I am havin d same prob
Disable the skin on the dailer, and use a windows default ringtone. And a lot of free memory is always a plus
how to disable the dialer skin?
I believe it can be done here:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Security/Phone/Skin
Then look for the DWORD "enabled" set it to 0
I am not sure about this though!!! You have to check google (like I did, and found this: http://www.buzzdev.net/index.php?option=com_simpleboard&Itemid=59&func=view&id=5075&catid=36
I have the same when I get a call, but I can live with that. My problem lately has been that when I get an incoming call my entire device freezes. I can press whichever button I like, but nothing works except a soft reset and then I would have missed the call. Has anyone else had this too? I hope it doesn't happen too often or else I send it off for repair (I pay insurance for a reason).

jup, mine sometimes starts vibrating and just doesn't stop.
Soft reset is the only way to get my phone working again

I have the same problem. When the MDA is open, everything works fine. But when the lid is closed, the mda freezes after an incoming call and softreset is the only solution. Any ideas about that?

No sign for missed calls when missing calls

Lately I have had people telleing me they have called. But the phone showes no missed calls. Sometimes I also have calls from friend Ihave as contacts, but the sreen only keep showing Home-screen or just the locked screen.
Anyone with a similar problem and suggestions? I still run the 1.48.40.1 ROM - have had no reason for upgrade, until now??
Johan
Are you sure you have signal when they call, If there is no signal your phone wont show anything.
If you are having this problem when you have signal then I would suggest possibly a hard reset and see if that works.
You are right about the signal.
Problem is, to-day I had a call I didn't catch soon enough. It was ringing normally, but when finsihed, the phone showed no missed call, which it should have. So I had a clear "evidence" of some malfunction. But maybe I try a hard reset befor upgrading if no one else has other suggestions - seems a less fearful procedure...
do you have any mods installed like s2u2 or cht? or something similar that deals with calls or shows information on missed calls?
btw a hard reset will delete all your data so backup ( but dont use backups between rom versions)
not sure if this will help...but is your missed call notification disabled?
you can check in many ways, but the easiest is to go to the "Settings" tab in Sense...then choose "Sound & Display", then go into "Notification Sounds" under "Ring and Notifications" and make sure the "Missed call" option is set to "On".
Thanks a lot for the effort. Unfortunately, it was ON.. And it must be, if it does not turn itself on and off, then every other missed call does show up telling me so...

[BUG] - Calling TMOUS Support Turns off Speakerphone until Soft Reset

First off - this is on TMOUS, stock 2.13 ROM
I noticed this last night when trying to activate my wife's visual voicemail on her new HD2 (I got mine on the release day, and we picked hers up for free over Father's day... happy father's day wifey ).
If I call 800-937-8997 from my device, it hides the phone keypad and automatically opens the "My Account" app, this in itself is annoying because I already know I can't get my question answered there. However, I noticed that I couldn't put the call on speaker (so I had to listen to Miley Cyrus' cat-like voice screaming into my right ear, T-Mobile... this is not cool) and after hanging up ALL subsequent calls to any other number have the speaker disabled. It is not until I actually soft reset the device that I can use the speakerphone again.
I accidentally clicked on the number in my history and the same thing happened today so I can replicate the bug. Anyone else notice this same thing?

Edit: I also posted this over at the HTC Forums and at least one other person has noticed this after a call with TMobile(611).
http://community.htc.com/na/htc-forums/windows-phone/f/90/p/3724/15605.aspx
I HATE it when this happens. I try not to even call 611 anymore b/c it's so freaking annoying. Is there any work around for this yet?
I saw a post on these very forums not too long ago (although the post itself was very old) that said TMOUS know about this issue, acknowledge it is there internal phone system that is causing it but have no idea why or how to sort it.
I can't find the post right now but it is poking about somewhere.

Since Oxygen 2.1.2 update call audio drops/strange issues-not reception related

This has been happening a lot ever since I updated to 2.1.2 and I haven't seen anyone else mentioning it. When on a call my mic will apparently just drop out and the other person can't hear me. The call is still connected but one of us has to hang up and call back. Happened twice today in quick succession. Sometimes when it happens I will look at the screen and it is as if I hit the conference call button and put the person on hold, even though I can still hear them. I thought maybe the screen wasn't turning off and my face was hitting buttons, but I determined this is not the case. The screen is off during the call and deliberate touches on the screen do nothing. Any ideas? I love the update and the OS overall, but this issue is a dealbreaker for me.

Following up...this problem is very real, very annoying, and happens every time I'm on a call longer than about 5 minutes. All the sudden the other person can't hear me and I look at my screen and it's as if the conference call button was pressed OR the screen is locked. Either way, my mic is muted. VERY annoying. Happens multiple times per call, every time. This is clearly a software bug and I find it highly unlikely that no one else is experiencing it. I even did a factory reset just as a test, and the problem persists. on 2.1.2
