"HTC Touch" doesn't exist. It's a bunch of applications made on touchFlo technology (all touchFlo is is finger-scrolling, but you can build a whole bunch of applications on top of that). The applications are: HTC Home (homescreen with clock, weather, etc.), HTC Dialer (phone), HTC Cube, HTC Camera Album, HTC Audio Manager, and I think there are a couple of others that I missed. Search for the thread called "[something]: New Files for out Wizards" for links (sorry, I don't remeber what [something] is. Could've been HTC Touch or HTC Elf, or something like that. Just punch in new files for our wizards).

I was reading lots of threads today and I got confused. It looks like there is a few apps doing plus minus the same job.
Can anyone explain me main differences between:
1.Advanced Configuration Tool
2.Diamond TF3D Config Setup
3.HD Tweak
And which one you would advise ?
Ok, Schap's Advanced Config is the basis (foundation) for the other tweakers. Diamond TF3D Config is more or less just for the TF3D User Interface. HD Tweak is basically the same thing as Schap's Advanced Config, but exclusively for the HTC Touch HD. HD's have some settings that are different from all the other phones.
I use HD Tweak & Diamond TF3D Config. Both have settings for different things. Make sure that you get the latest & greatest HD Tweak.

Hi. I was looking at the Manilla 2D thread and to be honest I find it somewhat confusing. can anyone tell me the steps to take with my touch 3g to get it working. here are my questions:
1/ What is the install order of the files to get Manilla 2D working? (including bug fixes)
2/ Can Manilla 2D be easily uninstalled?
3/ There is a program I saw mentioned which allows browsing and then choosing of Manilla 2D skins. Does it allow you to use Touch Flo 2D as an option?
4/ Do I have to get a new ROM to do this?

TouchFlo 2D ( = Manilla 2D) is already installed on the Touch 3G. There is no need to install Manilla.
Ok I saw the skins and thought that I needed to install something on top of touch flo 2D. I thought manilla was something different. So therefore all I need to do is install the theme manager and get going with downloading themes.

I tried but no luck, once I have re-enabled TF3D and rebooted I only see a HTC logo with a flashing text "starting TF3D" - "click here to start". It seems to hang anyway.
So I was wondering if some users can post their -positive- experience with particular apps/themes on the TP2 so I don't have to go installing and removing all that don't work anyway....

Nope. That's a VGA theme. Please look in the right section. Diamond has a vga resolution while TP2 has a WVGA resolution. Check out the blackstone themes, applications and software section for themes and software that should work on the TP2.

Hello this is my first post here so here's a little introduction. I got my TP2 (Rhodiom,Tilt2, whatever) a couple of weeks ago. Before this i had a Mogul, Titan, so I'm not completely new to WM. This is my first HTC with touch flo though. So Ive been doing some research on here about customizing and just want to clarify some things.
So from what i understand there are two different touch flos. Either TF3d or Sensi and customizations of parts of one may not work for the other. There is no way (with just installing cabs) that you can have the background for all pages and a custom clock together and the clock will display properly.
I believe we can share some stuff with the touch hd. i was also wondering what other tf phones we can share themes, custom clocks, icons, etc with. Any help just helping me understand TF3D in general would be greatly appreciated.

Yes there is 2 Manila/Sense/touchflo3d versions
2.1 which runs smoother on Rhodium
2.5 more tabs, and 4 icons on home tab eat more RAM
As for themes, you can use any theme from any other device that has WVGA screen.
