Won't turn on - Wing, P4350 General

Hello. I have searched and found nothing.
I have a T-Mobile Wing that I purchased about 1+ year
I bought a new phone and didn't use the Wing for a while. I wanted to use it again, but it won't turn on. I put it to charge and the light turns on for about 7 secs and turns off. I tried the soft and hard resetting method but does not seem to work. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Ok. So i got it to turn on. It stays on for couple of minutes then when I start playing around with it, it freezes, I open the keyboard and the screen fades away. The orange light stays on, but the phone doesn't respond.
What can be causing this?
Thanks.

I open the keyboard and it stays on, but as soon as I close it, it freezes, then shuts off and back on..
Please help me!
edit
Also most of the keys on keyboard don't work. I guess its the keyboard
edit-
took it apart and disconnected the keyboard and it doesn't turn off anymore. bingo. where can I get a replacement?

a little problem

I bought a blackstone a few months back. It works fine but just recently it has been doing something annoying. I press the top button to turn off the screen so i can put it in my pocket or belt holder. It just randomly turns on again. So i thought the belt holder was pressing the button, but i noticed at nite, it just randomly turns on sitting on my desk. I was like ok, I'll download S2U2, so that way if it turns on it wont accidentally call someone. Then i noticed that when it randomly turns on, the S2U2 screen appears at first then it goes straight to the home screen. It is driving me crazy and i have searched the forums for answers to no avail. Could someone help me please!?!
What Rom are you using? I used to have a similar problem, until I sent it back to HTC for a repair. It has not done it since I got it back. Obviously I have no idea if it was the repair or just re-flashing and re-hardSPLing the device.
How do i check the ROM? thanks

any body can help me please?

Touchscreen Unresponsive After Sleep

Anyone else have this problem? Sometimes, if the screen goes to sleep, when I wake it back up, the touchscreen is unresponsive. I have to soft reset to get it to start up again. Any ideas on how to fix it?
I had the same problem, and flashed another rom, and problem gone.
Hello guys,
I was just searching through the forum with this exact problem and found this thread.
If the phone wakes up from sleep the touchscreen is unresponsive for a few seconds. If I insist to press it it only takes longer for it to respond. This is a very big problem because I sometimes miss calls because I can't answer them. Not even the for hard buttons don't work (maybe because they are also touchscreen).
I've tried flashing different ROM's (Miri, Dutty, NRG) even flashed back to the standard one and again back to a 6.5 one (as I saw this step fixes a lot of problems for some people) but the result is the same. I'm running out of ideas.
I don't think it's a hardware issue because if i leave the phone until the backlight dims and touch it, it goes back on, so it registers the press but doesn't act on it.
It's a very serious and I'm hoping someone here has a solution.
Nobody else is having this issue? Is there no hint on what is going wrong with our phones?
It appears it's happening more and more often and the screen is dead for more and more time.
Hi
I have had the same problem but solved tonight
There are many threads about this but no real solution I tried them all.
My first HD lasted till last week when I had to replace it because of a "Newton Ring" problem. In 10 months of ownership I got a screen freeze maybe 5 times.
My new replacement arrived last Saturday - same original Orange Rom and radio.
I have loaded exactly the same programs from the old phone and have found that when I put it in sleep mode via the power button its a 50/50 chance of it waking up. Receiving a text message does not wake it up either.
I can hear the volume control working and the haptic buttons provide feedback - but black screen. If I hold the power button down I get the bleep to ask if I want to power the device off - then all goes dead. If I wait 5 minutes the haptic buttons/volume buttons work again and the screen comes alive revealing the yes/no option to power off.
Also strange whilst in this locked state the orange charging light comes on - when it goes off I know i can wake the screen up !
I tried :
Enabling and disabling the Today Screen timeout
Auto adjust backlight off and on
Different screen brightness
Manual/default operator selection
Checked HD Tweaks settings were correct in registry and things I can't remember.
What has worked :
Start - Settings - System - Power - Advanced and unchecked the box "turn off device if not used for 5 minutes"
The daft thing is this was enabled on my old phone and would always wake up with a text/call or power button push !
What has changed ?

Update - Found the problem
Whilst the above fixed my freeze problem it has been bugging me why - as the advanced power features are useful and I don't always remember to hit the power button to sleep the device.
I have now realized what was not set up the same as my old phone.
No start up password !
To enable this I found this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=5004821 and changed my registry setting to 0.
This immediately takes you to the lock screen where you can now enter your password details and make them stick.
I now have a start up password and can set the timeout to 24hrs.
All the power settings now work correctly - and no screen freeze

Spoke too soon
3 hours ago went to use my phone - black screen
Connected via activesync and MyMobileR.
Rebooted and got the "Microp Version Mismatch 0" message.
Checked out threads about this error on the mainly Diamond forum and can confirm my screen is well and truly dead.
Contacted Orange and they are sending another replacement tomorrow.
What p*sses me off is the number of hours I have spent to get one normal days use.

Sorry to keep posting to this thread - but I am hoping that my experiences may help somebody
As said I am getting a replacement tomorrow and in one of the threads a guy said put it in the fridge for 20 minutes !
Well I thought what the h*ll and did.
Wrapped it in some tissues to absorb the condensation when I took it out - replaced the battery and it works - no Microp message and has behaved ok for 6 hours.
Got to be a hardware issue ?
Your thoughts.............

Hi Bigfish,
please let me know the phone is still ok after more hours out of the fridge. i have similar problem on my HTC touch- ELF and i have been searching for solution, and i found this
http://www.fixya.com/support/t982721...not_responding .
i do not have tools to open it myself and would like to try it.
if you r familiar with it please let me know.
cheers

Hi
Sorry your link is not working.
As to the phone it was still ok 26 hours later when I had to exchange it for my replacement.
Weird !

Hi Andrew,
the fridge trick did not work for me. i kept searching for solutions and i found out that the problem is the digitizer (the touch screen). it might have received a shock (dropped on the ground) or other unusual pressure (in the pocket), and the digitizer gets out of initial position. the digitizer takes that contact as a tap -a continious tap- and does not respond to other taps. you might have to open the device and reposition the digitizer or replace it is there is some damage.
cheers
mumur
Sorry to hear that.
My replacement phone - so far has behaved perfectly.

it strikes me that if I shake the phone that the phone jamming. I get no response. Even when I tap my finger hard against the rear top I get a crash. The only solution is to take out the battery and reboot. I think it has to do with a hardware problem.
there are others who also suffer from it?

My htc won't turn on !! Help please

Hello everyone this is my first contribution to this forum which I really had benefit from in the past and I have this problem in my HTC wing that I want to share maybe someone could help me fix it?
I installed an application(Game) on my HTC wing and as I was checking it everything seemed to be working ok but when I tried to exit it seemed for me that I can't find the exit option in the game menu ..Tried countless methods still can't exit the game. The best solution for me was to pop out the battery so the HTC would turn off then I tried to put the Battery back again but it won't turn on. It has been sitting on my desk for more than 2 weeks not knowing what wrong with it knowing that I plug it to the charger and the green light appears but still it won't turn on. Moreover it seems like no hard or soft reset methods are creating any response to the device. Anybody has any idea how to fix this problem Please?

[Q] G1 Startup Issue

Hey, I'll make this as accurate as possible so that you guys can help in any way.
I've had this g1 for a while, but didn't really use it because I was using my Touch Pro2, but wanted to go back to it for a while. I charged it for a little while, and then tried turning it on, but what happened was that I saw a striped pattern, which disappeared and then the g1 vibrated. It happened again, but the colors weren't as bright, and then it vibrated again. After 2 or 3 more times that this happened, the g1 backlight stayed on, but the screen was blank, and it kept vibrating after a little while. After like 2 minutes of this happening, the backlight was still on, but the vibrating stopped, and the phone never turned on.
I tried connecting it to my computer, and couldn't do that because it didn't pop up on the computer screen (g1 screen is blank, but on). The charger works because the orange light comes on.
What is the problem, and how can i fix it?
any help will be much appreciated.
thank you
P.S. can't enter factory reset (holding down the home+end key), it does the same thing.

[Q] A serious problem with turning on

I had this HTC Mini that it was working very well and i had no problem with it. but suddenly, one day, I woke up and I found it off. it had turned off automaticly. i turned it on and it worked, with no problem. but after a few days, it got worse. this time, when it automaticly turned off, i wasn't able to turn it on right away. but i could turn it on, a few hours later.
after that, it worked well for almost 2 weeks, but then it turned off again and this time i couldn't turn it on, at all. I tried everything I could. I changed its ROM and used the last update. I also used its general ROM. I tried reseting it. but none of these did any go0d for me and it's still off and I can't trun it on.
it's nessecary to mention this... when I push the button to turn it on, it's not like the phone react nothing, like it's dead. it works and reacts. it turns on and the white screen for turning on and saying welcom, shows up. but after that, it stops on this white screen and does nothing. it always reacted like that but after almost 5 minutes, it would turned on completly. but now, it doesn't turn on, no matter how long i wait and keep it on with that white screen.
plzzzzzz help me, what's wrong with this cellphone??!
P.S: I think it's a hardware problem, because almost 3 months before happening all these, i had an accident while HD mini was in my pocket.

Now what rom are u using?
anyway if we will not resolve it the best thing will be this: install the lastes OFFICIAL rom for our devices and carry it to repair...
I tried the official rom, but it didn't work either. I carried it to a repair man, but he couldn't do anything about it. and here, in my country, the repair men are not go0d enough to fix any difficult problem.
