the basic ideea is that i can't use the tf3d music player to play anything.
with the 2 demo songs it starts (after very long time) play 3-5 seconds then stops
any other songs from the sd card is not found, just some mp3 ringtones (not all of them) but is the same problem - plays few sec and stops
what am i doying wrong? core, wm, gsp and all other music player works nice, but not this one.
please help because i found it appealing to use/

i added my songs to my sdcard by sincronising with wmplayer and just copying them to my card
both methods failed. if i copy them the tf3d player doesn't sees them at all
if i syncronize them, some of them appear some not, but event those seen by tf3d player can't be played. it starts after an eternity, plays 2-3 secs and stops. it is very annoying nad i have no clue what am i doing wrong.

iv had problems with the music player myself , im sure what the problem is with songs only playing 2-3 secs.
But as tf3d goes when i sync my phone to copy music i always use direct drive (the middle option)
if i sync with wmp player i may get like 2 songs not syncing with the rest of the album
to get albums to show in tf3d put the album you want into the artist folder then copy to Music on your memory stick e.g day & age>the killers>MUSIC
but if you do it this way day & age>MUSIC the albums will show in your libary in tf3d but it sometimes take 20 secs to refresh

Anyone else experiencing this
When i have transfered new music i was told by Htc i should reboot Wb so i do.
But when i enter inside music the new music dont show up at first
first is like lesser music , then the music comes back artist by artist
And as i continue browsing i finaly see the new music i transfered.
For example i removed a album and corrected some songs and transfered it back.
after a reboot i went into music only to see both the old album (i deleted)
and the new one there.
i could see songs in the old album disapearing in real time one by one
and the new songs in the other album apearing until finaly the old album was removed and the new then had all the songs.
So is there realy such a Delay to update songs on the HD?
the whole update progress took like 3-4 minuts or more (not counting the reboot)
Ofcourse once updated this dont happen again but is a bit anoying it take so long time to update song transfered.
I know I can use Pocketmusic too i have that popular program but while winamp skins are cool they are so smale and not useful everytime so i keep using the musicplayer that came with the phone
so anyone else experiencing this delay.
I noticed that if i switch to pocketmusic right after a transfer
and play a song there then go back to Hd music player all is then updated and i dont even need to reboot.
Note that i have songs stored on the Sandisk flashcard can it be the Flashcard that has the delay
i have a Toshiba card too should i use that instead? (it has same speed at 8gb size as the sandisk that came with HD)
I think the delay is normal for this software. The same thing happens for me.
To force a refresh more quickly, just leave it turned on and remove and reinstall the SD card - there's no need to reboot the whole machine.
Uh isnt it faster to reboot than take the Sdcard out from the back and reinsert it?
I am having a nightmare with this hunk of brown steaming excretia!!!!! Firstly you have to load songs through Media player-WHY!!!!! What was wrong with dragging and dropping it onto the memory card like I used to do with my Touch.
Second Having waited whilst windows makes me grow older loading toons on the card, having play ok for a week, its just decided it will only play the first 2 seconds of a song any song then lock up!!! It lets me see all my songs, artists, albums, artwork, everything but the bl00dy tease wont let me play em. Worst of all the windows media player on the phone plays it all fine!!!!

thats the way i do it and i usually play via tf3d , but iv never had a problem of the music stopping
Do you keep your mp3s in a particular file on the sd card and do you "treat" them in any way album art tag edit etc? Cheers for the answer, this is driving me mad!
I drag and drop directly into the storage card. I avoid WMP when possible - it seems to take forever.
The only problem with drag and drop approach is that sometimes TF3D does not seem to see the update. So, you might have to stop TF3D and restart it - this forces the music player to rescann available files.
How do you stop Tf3d, and how long does your HD take to update the list when you restart it?
even though i use tf3d when i start the music player i always go in library option then choose my music through that
I created a folder on my SD called Music and dragged albums to it. Play them via TF3D and point the library at the SD. It scans the entire card to find the music. then lists them. Only problem I had is when I removed some music from the SD and they still appeared in the TF3D.Resolved it by finding the library file, deleting it and then rescanning card........
Don't bother with the WMP
quick questions for the pro here.... how can i have only one folder showing off my storage card. for example i hate having it scan all of the card, and having ringtones mixed in there.... i wish i could have music and ring tones separate how ever only full songs on the player

This is not something I do often but in the settings, personal, today you can deselect TF3D and then reselect it.
It seems that TF3D does not have a special "scan" button so the best way is to stop and restart TF3D. I have also Pocket Tunes and Pocket Player - both have scan options. But, I generally use TF3D.

Been looking for a way around this myself and I'm still yet to find anything. All my ringtones & music files all appear together which is annoying

Stopped using media player, wow what a relief.
Got a new problem now though After spending a night finding and adding album art, I loaded the mp3s, stopped and started TF3D, cool it saw the mp3s fine. Not so cool, it has "stuck on one of the album pics and wont move!!! the song changes, the title changes but the picture stays the same!!!
marmin you are not alone. I have the same problems with tf3d player and its almost killing me.
my k800i was perfect in this disciplin.

I copied all my mp3s on my sd card (no activesync). I have 4 songs with different integrated covers and my player shows all the time the same cover.
2.
The other frustrating thing is the thing with ringtones. Somebody already mention it. I just want to say tf3D: "hey only scan this folder. the rest is none of your business. nothing else." but it scans all the time my whole device including ringtones.
Here is the file I deleted prior to a rescan (as mentioned in my previous post) .......
My Device\Application Data\HTC\AudioManager_Eng
although you could just rename it so you can change it back again if a problem arises.....
When I scanned afterward it recreated the entire music database from my SD including the assoication for image files to their respective albums.

i haven't tried this idea, but I think it would certainly be worth investigating (I'd check it for you guys but a bit busy till the weekend arrives). But for those that know how to edit the registry (really simple), try and add a new key to the respective TF3D music player folder called "Ignore". In the new key, add a 'string value' for your descritption (name of folder would do nicely). More importantly, set the "Data" to the full path of the folder to be ignored (something like "Storage Card\Ringtones"). I think this might work as it works with the TF3D album (forces it to ignore the folders which you tell it to and all its sub-folders). Please let me know if you try this and if it works or not (if no one tries it I'll try to give it a go over the weekend)

Album art in the TF3D music player.
I am having those issues too. My problems started when I embedded the art into the MP3's. It not only hangs on the art, it also will only play about 2- seconds of the song before stopping. I can play the songs fine with the Windows media player though, so I had to put it on the programs tab so I could get to it easy.
Anothr thing about the HTC player, is it doesn't seem to go into sub folders very well, where the Windows player does. But like you said, it picks up on EVERYTHING, and that's extremely annoying.

i jus brought a hd2 and have uploaded abt 200 songs to the MMC card and wen i try playing from the normal music player in the touch flow menu..it plays one or two songs and a error comes up saying some audioplayer.exe has encountered a problem and stops playing. if i format the memory card and play the default two songs it goes on playing... is there some fix for this..
i had a similar problem..
i just included 10-12 new songs on my mmc card. while playing one of them from touch flo it paused after few seconds and that tab hanged.then it started showing same behavior for all songs. library would not update and going through albums would not work if i choose any song from the library it would play for 3-8 seconds and then hang again.. then i moved half songs to anohter folder but library still wont update and kept on showing missing files with ! sign.. finally i removed my half collection of songs and everything is working fine.

Transfer the Music files to ur mobile from Windows media player from your PC - Basically SYNC it and all the songs will play u can upload unlimited songs

To start with, I'm a fresh virgin in WM and just bought the Leo, flashed the ROM with 1.48.405.2 WWE and it's all a dream except ..
I go to the music player tab, play a song and in 5 to 20 seconds the song just stops playing. It doesnt pause it, just halts and when i hit the "play" button twice it plays from the start. Unusable..
I am using an 8GB SD, tried formatting it twice ( through win7 and WM ), tried uploading the songs via Media Player and by just copying them into the folder. Its all the same. Soft reseted the thing a gazzilion times and it still doesnt like me.
I searched trough the forum but didnt stumble upon anyone with a similar issue.
I give up. help?

That's frustrating. What's the format of your music files? And what's the bitrate? How do you have organized your music files. In seperate folders or in one large folder?
Just curious.
BTW, does this problem occurs constantly. I mean, if you leave your phone alone for a couple of hours and try to play the same music file then, does the same problem occur again, or is it just after an update of your music library.

try to erase the Music maps inthe sd card and create a new one,put music inthis first,more less like 200 tracks and start again the player,if this work put more music

Hi. I experienced the same problem with my music player. I noticed that EVERYTIME I connect my LEO with a computer, whether or not I add new music files, the music player would just "stuck", find no music files, display the message "No music found" when I turn it to landscape.
Found the answer on another forum. Actually, "our" music player is unable to read some MP3 ID3 TAG... It seems to be only reliable with ID3 version 2.4 UTF-8 type tags. So what you should do is "simply" convert all mp3 files on your storage card to the appropriate ID3 format. It's not very long since you don't have to recompress the audio files! One definitive solution would be to convert ID3 tags of all your music collection! It would take quite some time... unless somebody find the way to fix this with a magic cab?

i tried to play music from the desktop but i can't see any songs or any albums..
i got a message says (The music titles in the playlist no longer exist. They may have been deleted or the storage card may have been removed) ..
in spite of i have songs on the device and on the storage card.. and i can play them with the media player and other apps...
i need your help guys.. how do i fix the Sense Music player to see my Songs/Albums list again!?

Does this happen when your phone is connected to your computer ? If so it sounds like your hd2 id set to work as a removable storage device when its connected to your pc, where the sd card becomes unavaliable to the phone and you can only access it from tue computer to transfer files.

I have the exact same problem. The songs are located on the SD and I can play them with WMP or CorePlayer but Sense can't seem to locate them.
I didn't have this problem 2 days ago, but yesterday I copied 4 more albums to my SD card and since then Sense Music can't locate anything.
I have about 2GB of music but I doubt there's some limit. I tryied removing the SD and soft resetting the device a few times but it didn't fix the problem.
The card is in good shape and all apps installed on it work just fine.
I've had this issue on a couple of occasions. The sense player shows no files, but, of course, there are! I actually coaxed the Sense player into finding them by going to the menu tab and selected Add to Playlist. My files were THERE, but not in the actual Sense UI. I selected a song, it started to play, and then, voila, all of the files populated the Sense player again. It's odd...
not sure if I have the same problem, but when it happens to me, I just wait for ages and then they reappear. I think it just takes the Audio Manager Engine ages to re-scan your memory card after it has been connected to a pc. I often find that I can see files on the song tab before they appear on the Album or Artist tab.
this happens to me everytime i add a track or tracks, and every time i soft reset, all you have to do is go to song tab when phone is in horizintal view ( click library> slide to songs ) individual songs are there l, just play one then everything starts comeing back....
