I have installed Core player on my blackstone but it isn't working i get this error:
unexpected program error. Send "crash.txt" to the developer s.v.p. The program will close now.
Where can i get this crash.txt ?
Anybody knows this problem?
I think the crash.txt is in the core player directory, hence "\Program Files\Coreplayer\".
I got that message when I tried TCPMP 0.72.
TCPMP isn't the same as Coreplayer.
TCPMP = freeware.
Coreplayer = commercial version.
If you're trying TCPMP then I guess this is a fundamental incompatibility but if it's Coreplayer then you might find their technical support could help.
TCPMP works fine, you just need to take the recompiled version for the Touch Diamond.
AS I know, TCPMP is not working well with VGA.
The old version of Coreplayer may hang in WVGA.
Try to buy the new version V1.3.
Well I have this one
TCPMP = freeware.
Is there other freeware programs i can use for my video's??

Sorry, to ask what i think is a dumb question, but I've been trying to sort out TCPMP all day long and am way too tired now to look through more threads!!!
1. Where do I put the three dll that come in the plugin zip?
2. What's this "Overclocked to 247" mean?
At present, I get sound BUT: a black screen, and refusal to play avi files (coverted by PocketDivXEncoder_0.3.60).
Thanks in advance...

1.put The Dll'S in Program Files\Tcmp Folder where Tcmp.exe is
2. Overclocked to 247 mean the cpu is clocked over the default 200mhz speed with omap clock.

Based on the link, it seems the fix is only for 0.72 and not for the 0.81. Do you all have this issue with the 0.81 version?
anyway to get this support opera 9.5?

0.81? woww, the las version that I found is .072 RC1, and it's too old.
is there any new page or any dev team developing it??
rofl.
0.81 is not too old.
you just do NOT know its potential.
and forget about that new recompiled thrash posted there somewhere.
im pretty sure hes saying .72 RC1 was too old...
0.81 and 0.72 are almost SAME programs, all you need is good set of codecs + some knowledge -- how to use it.
of course, there may be some problems on some machines, BUT 2/3 of these problems can be solved with prefs combinations.
do not say there is better program than tcpmp.EVER.
..ok just ignore me now, i am worshipper of tcpmp, and NEVER had ANY problems that i cannot solve...
just 3 cents from me.
just cannot stand if someone is saying that tcpmp is "old" = crappy.
it doesn't matter.
good pack = happiness, NOTHIN more.
I've combined the codecs and tcpmp .81 posted by zcink into one .cab
just install this:
http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=442c5108678df88f1686155677bb2685a43d88cace4d0fcb
and you've got it
however, I have a previous version cooked into my ROM, and every time I open it, it says "Unexpected program failure. Please send 'crash.txt' to the developers. Program will now exit."
Is this because of the previous cooked-in version, or a different problem?

Ok, I need some help.
So far, whatever type of media player I use, my videos tend to lag and freeze. They only seem to run smoothly when I play them at 80% speed. I would love perfect playback!!! So:
1. I have read that I am best to use a convertor first. I've tried PocketDivXEncoder_0.3.60, but it converts them to _avi's meaning that no player can play them! I just get "unknown file format!". What am I doing wrong?
2. Only ATI IMAGEON Decoder and ATI IMAGEON give me playback (any other video setting on tcpmp gives me a black screen). BUT, it freezes and lags unless I set speed to 80%! I have as yet found no way to get 100% visual and audio playback.
I've read up on so many threads on this, but there seems to be so much differing advice out there.
Thanks in advance to anyone who has advice.
Mattster.
UPDATE: Coreplayer plays files created by PocketDivXEncoderworks which don't for some reason play on TCPMP, so I'll stick with that!

Any update to the black screen? I've installed the files, and I get audio fine, but no video.
it is possibile add skins to tcpmp 0.72?
I found this, but how works?
Here is a link to another spot this is being discussed on PPC Geeks. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=63525
The skinned TCPMP is an older version but I am using it and it works awesome. Plays all my vids and music fine. No crashes at all. QVGA skinned.
thanks but there is a big problem!!!player.exe is incompatible with subtitles plugin!!!can you try?
problem is that subtitles plugin doesn't support tcpmp 0.71.and your skin is based onb tcpmp 0.71(player.exe of 2.5mb)
How can I have a skin for tcpmp and keep subtitles
no skins for tcpmp 0.72?
0.72 hasn't been skinned yet AFAIK. Perhaps someone can do it with info from the skinned version of 0.71 that I posted. I don't care about subtitles, but obviously they are very important for some people.
closing redrawn. my bad.

I have found this subtitles by another author. this should work in tcpmp 0.71.i tried in this skinned version but doesn't work!
can you try?if this subtitles are for 0.71, why doesn't work (or maybe problem is mine)
I'll take a look at it and see. No guarantees.
Hi guys!
I have recently tried getting TCPMP to work on TP2. Without any luck.
Firstly there seemed to be a problem with it running on WinMo 6.1. That has however been fixed in a thead somewhere here on xda dev.
I have tried all three of these fixes, and while they managed to get TCPMP open after install (Not get the crash.txt msg), it caused the TP2 to crash when opening a video file (even when trying to run the video that comes with the phone (my documents -> movies)).
Anyone know of any other solutions? because i have been searching but havent found anything to get this working.
Cheers!
same problem to me, I can't even play the video recorded with my TP2. It just hang.
its special TCPMP thats, working here. I have this functional, if you want to post it, just let mi know.
JF
Make it so, please.
Why don't you use Coreplayer for playing movie clips?
I'm having not issues playing most types of movie file... Great player!
Probably because Coreplayer is not freeware.
TCPMP is the predecessor of Coreplayer
its here: http://www.digitwins.com/download/TCPMP-0.72RC1.zip
JF
No luck yet
Thanks for the link, but is this version working on yours? At least I was able to open a video file (mp4) without my TP2 crashing like it did with other recomps I've tried, but the image is all messed up with green lines and **** all over the place...
Sorry, Im not using TCPMP for viewing pics. Didnt noticed that. And Im not gonna use it fot it ;-)

Hi there... i'm having problems to get work on tp2 a player that supports subtitles. Do you know anyone? Thank you very much.
Regards.
Coreplayer dont use in touch pro 2
Coreplayer dont use with processor touch pro 2. In the web of Coreplayer it ist possible reed.
Thank you and sorry for me english
I just use this app now works like a charm.
http://divx-player-mobile.en.softonic.com/pocketpc
It is not possible for me :
- Core player can't start, I don't see the app after pressing the icon
- TCPMP-0.72RC1 open, but the videos are not working, it crashes
Is it a problem of 3D driver or somethong like that?
Well I too am using Coreplayer and it works just fine. v1.3.2 build 6909 for ARM. Plays VGA .avi files perectly...
Had the same problem with TCPMP crashing until I unchecked "DirectDraw" in Video Settings (i.e. use GDI or Raw Frame Buffer).
twana, that is brilliant, I'd given up on TCMP having tried every version I could find.
Did you find out how to fix the blacked-out buttons in the toolbar?
Black buttons are caused by the theme you're using. And yes even HTC standard theme is causing this
Hello!
Thank you Twana, TCPMP works fine for me when I put "GDI" in the video settings!
It is great.

Now my babies can watch toons on my rhodium!

coreplayer/tcpmp
Selecting gdi/rawframe buffer in video settings is a must. Also check tools -> preferences -> file associations if you want them to play aac mp4 etc it must be checked there.
I have downloaded the touchplayer (originally found in the Samsung Omnia I900 running windows mobile which had native divx playback) .cab I found on a site from XDA user: [germany]merlot. a link to his site were the touchplayer cab can befound and downloaded: http://mobile.etechniker.com/index.php?option=com_remository&Itemid=89&func=select&id=42&lang=de
I was hoping to get it up and running as another alternative to coreplayer. So the cab file installs alright but after its installed I try to open it but the program says it cannot be opened because it's either missing a file or the app is not signed.
Has anyone been able to run this on the tp2 or on another winmo device?
could be a bad download or maybe a DotNet issue????

Possible. I will try the .net update and seeif it helps.

I have that player and it is terrible. The menu and fonts are too small. Every divx file I played was very bad.

I tried this when I went looking for an avi player - the video/audio sync is always off, and it doesn't play a wide variety of vodecs, unlike coreplayer.
Hello,
I'm looking for a program working with mpeg2 files.
I've tried tcpmp but it doesn't work (crashes when I open the program)
Coreplayer doesn't support mpeg2 at all (yet?).
So maybe somebody here as another idea ?
Thanks
Try tcpmp 0.71, I think 0.72 crashes on HD2..
0.71 crashes too on my HD2 :/

This is the filename iirc
TCPMP-0.72RC1-GF5500Edition-Alpha4.1.CAB
If you want to get TCPMP to work, try using GDI as your video renderer instead of DirectDraw.
Btw, here's a link to the version of TCPMP mentioned earlier. I find it gives me much better performance on my TP2 than any other version I've tried. If you can't get it to work at all then try this version.
