Extended rom

Instead of installing all my apps one by one after a new rom or a hard reset, I am thinking of including the apps into the extended rom folder. My question is "what may be the size of the extended rom folder?"
Usually extended ROM partition is about 10MB.
Please not the following:
1) Flashing a new ROM will format this partition erasing all data!
2) Many programs require registry settings or copy some files to windows folder.
For hard reset you should use Sprite or SPB backup programs to make a self-extracting image of your device (usually on SD).
For ROM changes it is always recommended to reinstall apps because of possible changes in OS structure.

<Help needed> How to make a new partition to install XP/Linux and keep vista?

Hi,
* Is it possible to install XP/Linux and keep Vista and the recovery partition?
* Is there an easy way to partition the harddisk? I tried with "Vista partition tools", "Paragon Partition manager" and other software, they can't make partitions because of crossed liked files. I don't have any usb Floppy Drive.
* Can I install the XP from extracted installation files from my harddisk? I don't have any usb CD-Rom drive.
Thanks alot for your time
Adam
Horaaa, I made a partition
First I defraged my shift with O&O defrag pro 11
And then made a partition (2 GB) with Paragon Partition manager.

[Q] About ext partition...??

I am using Wildpuzzle 8.0.1 ROM and when i used Rom manager to partition, it fails!!!
First ques.. how to do a ext partition ?
2nd ques.. If there's a ext partition does every app I install gets installed in sd card ??
use GParted or ADB.
for GParted, just dl the iso from the site and install on cd so its like a live cd, and then restart computer and boot from cd, from there just make an ext partition to your needs.
ADB can also be used, i don't really know the steps but i know it works.
Umm i don't think ALL apps get installed onto the sd.

First of all, do you know what you really did?
In the title you say FORMAT, here you say WIPE - which of the two you did???
Both options exist in the TWRP, but they are DIFFERENT things
When installing a different ROM, you have to FORMAT Data (not Wipe) - hence do it to make sure you would later not have problems
Second, you first had to flash the ROM, then Format Data.
But ok, now you still have two options:
- use an USB OTG stick, copy your ROM to OTG and then navigate in TWRP to OTG and flash the ROM from OTG
- Format Data, stay in TWRP and connect your phone by USB to PC, wait until it installs the drivers to PC and you will be able to copy your files from PC to Internal memory while in TWRP (TWRP also supports MTP)

Thank you!
So apparently steps to fix this, were to flash an older TWRP 3.4.0 (don't know why 3.5 was not behaving) AND install Android driver from MiFlash dialogue... (Also don't know why as before the formatting, phone was detected alright with older driver).
Then the phone appeared in windows folder and I was able to copy files onto it
