[Q] How to activate autoanswer on Touch HD when in BT-mode - Touch HD General

I want to enable the auto-answer feature on my Touch HD (Blackstone) when connected with my handsfree device (e.g. Bluetooth of my car).
When not connected I want to decide for myself whether or not to accept any incoming call. (when driving your attention is needed on the road!)
I suppose that I will have to tweak the registry, but I don't seem to find the right entries for that.
Anyone have suggestions ??

software autoanswer needed

Hi,
I urgently need an utility which performs autoanswer on calls, even if bt headset or no headset are used. I'm disposed to pay for this...
Start->Settings->Phone->More
Automatic Pickup : Answer incoming calls without pressing talk after [x] rings
No, this only works with wired headset. I need it alway working, expecially with bluetooth headset.
Hi,
If you're still looking for solution to this - check out phoneAlarm, it has an option for this in the Advanced Settings
cheers

Can any HTC Autoanswer on Bluetooth ?
Hi,
1) has anyone any first hand experience with ANY HTC pda/phone that could autoanswer on ANY bluetooth headset
1a) my experience is NO ! (Verizon XV-6600, A&T Tilt)
2) Unless there is a yes answer to 1)....
how could this have gone unaddressed thru so many generation/models/reviews of PDA/phones ?
2a) I can't accept that this is a "feature".
Jeez, just about every "dumb" bluetooth mobile phone does it just fine.

Enable bluetooth on incoming call

I use Tomtom frequently and use a bluetooth headset to handle my phonecalls. However when I use Tomtom, I want to hear the navigation instructions from the phone speaker and not from the headset. When I recieve or make a phonecall: vice versa.
I have come up whit a workaround solution. I use BTtoggle to turn bluetooth on while navigating if I receive a phonecall, takes some time and then anwser the phonecall through the bt headset. And then with alttab back to tomtom, so that I can see the route and calling at the same time. It's not perfect, but it does the job.
I want to have this done automatically by the phone. If I am navigating and a phonecall comes in, then the phone automatically turns on the BT, I answer the phone and tomtom remains on the screen. If i am done with the conversation, bluetooth turns off and i hear the voice from tomtom again through the phone speaker....
Does anybody know how this can be done? I have seen a Palm application which could do the trick...(by the way, it has got the same name as the bt toggle app: BTtoggle)...
Should be possible.. The only thing needed is a developer who's willing to put some effort into this.
you can use PocketZenPhone, its a profile switcher which is able to active bluetooth on incoming calls.
I am using it for years now.
I am going to look in to Pocket Zen, however do you have to change the profile manualy on incoming call or automatically?
Depending on your bluetooth headset, you can just turn it on and off. My headset has a switch, so when someone calls, I turn it on while its on my ear.
What about getting a Motorola headset with the boom that turns it on and off?

Please Please Help - HD bluetooth problem with motorcycle comms

I am experiencing the same problems as the person at; http://www.expansys-usa.com/ft.aspx?k=110775 but no answer there either....
I have added a few extra bits of detail to his post.
Anyone help me with this one please? My HTC Touch HD is having a problem keeping a bluetooth connection to my motorcycle 'Autocom' communications system. I have installed an Autocom bluetooth dongle on my Autocom system which appears to have successfuly paired to the phone. All appears fine, the bluetooth connection appears ok, the headset symbol appears at the top of the screen, however HD is able to make or receive only one call then at the end of the call the bluetooth connection is lost. The bluetooth connection still appears fine and the symbol still appears to have a headset around the BT symbol, some looks like it might still be paired.
When a second call comes in it rings and rings and goes to answerphone.
At present the only way to reconnect is to switch the ignition off then on again to allow the dongle to reconnect with the phone after every call, which is a little frustrating when you are on the motorway on a long journey. A bit annoying and something I would like to resolve if I can.
I have tried with other windows phones which work fine and wired solutions are proving to be bad sound quality having no USB audio on the HD means a custom 4pin 3.5mm to miniSB charging/audio lead is no even an option.
unsure if it a connection issue or maybe even a autoanswer issue. tried all various settings.
Any good ideas?
Folks
I'm still really desperate for any kind of assistance. Really need a solution. Love my Blackstone phone but only option available if I cant get any help is changing phones.
Please please someone offer some help.
Would changing to a cooked ROM amend the Bluetooth stability? or is that not going to make a difference?

Bluetooth / phone / speakerphone switch

Hi all
does anyone know if there is a app that while in bluetooth sync mode with a bluetooth handsfree device could launch a switch when a incomming call comes in to give the option to select the call by bluetooth or phone or phones speakerphone? i saw this option on a iphone. if this app is not available could some maybe create one? this would be a great function for windows mobile device. i do know that there is a option after you answer the call to turn off the bluetooth but its in the menu option and not as accessable...
thanks for you help..

It should work simply like this on WM phones (at least on all the WM phones I have). When a call comes in:
1. If you press talk button on your Bluetooth handsfree, the call should get picked up through the handsfree.
2. If you answer the call on the phone by pressing either software or hardware button, the call is picked up on the phone.
Thank you for your reply i just have another question
will that be the same for if the phone was synced to a car bluetooth kit as well? i just want to know if so as maybe the rom i have has problems doing this...
I tried to do what is posted and it did not work for the car i answered from the hardware keys as well as the software keys and still picked up in the car. i jave to click menu then turn off hands free. is there some other option i need to select in some settings to change the way the hands free works? I will try with a blue tooth ear piece to see if there is a difference..
In looking more into this there are 2 profiles 1 is headset and the other is handsfree i believe ear pieces use the headset profile and car kits use handsfree profile i did check the earpiece and it worked as described above does anyone know how to change the handset profile? is this a reg setting or can someone tell me how these profiles are stored in winmo 6.5?

Bluetooth Handsfree Hack - Bluetooth / Phone / Speakerphone switch

Hi all
does anyone know if there is a app that while in bluetooth sync mode with a bluetooth handsfree device could launch a switch when a incomming call comes in to give the option to select the call by bluetooth or phone or speakerphone? i saw this option on a iphone. if this app is not available could some maybe create one? this would be a great function for windows mobile device. i do know that there is a option after you answer the call to turn off the bluetooth but its in the menu option and not as accessable. it seems windows uses 2 different profiles for ear pieces and car kits 1 is headset and the other is handsfree i believe ear pieces use the headset profile which allows you to answer the call on the phone by using the hardware and software buttons or answering the call on the ear piece by clicking the hardware button on the ear piece. this however is not the same for the handsfree profile it seems that all hardware and software buttons eather on the phone or car kit chooses the car kit device as the default device does anyone know how maybe edit or make changes to the handsfree profile? is this a reg setting or can someone tell me how these profiles are stored in winmo 6.5?
thanks for you help..
Has anyone have any advise on this???
