Active Sync comes on in Task Manager when it's not connected to PC. I tried the fix I did on my Tilt but it still comes on.

i was wondering if theres anyway to turn off active sync when you want to?
like i keep it in the craddle to charge and it will automactically turn on to do a activesync which is starting to get annoying.
and no i don't want to just charge it using the DC plug
also on a unrelated issue... has anyone been able to get the bluetooth chat program proximitymail to work? it says something about not detecting any bluetooth stacks.

yes there is. Use Kill Activesync to disable you PCs autoconection to the device.

I'm using my Jam for a while now with great pleasure, and active sync via bluetooth as well. I have rom 1.11 installed. A while ago i tried something new with bluetooth, it didn't work out that, and active sync didnt work anymore (via bluetooth) So I reinstalled it again, after that the problem started. If I connect my jam to the pc using the usb-cable it connect immediately, and I can browse my jam using Pocket Controller. But active sync doesnt start synchronizing right away, actually the whole program freezes. If i look in the task manager it says: Active Sync - Not Responding. Then I wait a minute or two and it starts working again, synchronizing etc. Anyone has an idea about this?

I flashed my Hermes to the LVSW ROM and it works perfectly except for one thing. When I plug my device in, it syncs up perfectly...but after 5 minutes or so, I hear the disconnect from active sync sound. After that, no matter how many times I plug it back in, try to search for the device, enable active sync through communication manager (which fails)...It just won't reconnect. Restarting my computer seems to be the only way to get it to recognize my phone again.
I'm using XP, Active Sync 4.5, LVSW ROM.
i hav wizard, it sync perfectly on usb but when i make partnership for active sync with bluetooth,it connects with no problem............when i restart my pc then via blutooth no sync occur,,,,,if i hibernate my desktop pc then after switching off n then on,,,,,wizard connects easily....whts the problem..i hav tried many roms but same problem...right now using TNT proff + HTC home wm6 rom series something....is there any solution or i should continue by hibernating my pc everytime.....thx in advance for help............UMAIR
I runs Winodws Mobile 6. 5 have activesync 4.5 on XP & WMDC on Win-7 installed on my PC. I can connect and sync my device with no problems, but how do I disconnect it? I do not see "disconnect" or "eject" device in the Activesync software on my PC or on the activesync menu on my handheld device.
If i disable Titanum and set the Today screen i get the the active sync icon on bottom of the screen but in titanum theme im not able to get it.
Pls suggest any option of Disconnecting activesync connection on phone or PC.

But this disconnect option comes only when I connected to active sync via bluetooth connection, not when i connect through USB cable.

In Sync mode you don’t need to disconnect anything. Straight away remove your cable, after your transfers obviously.
And if you’re in disk drive you can disconnect by ejecting that particular drive for my comp.
