Mogul issues - Mogul, XV6800 General

I bought a mogul off ebay and tried to activate it today. Sprint took the esn fine and everything. Then I attempted to enter the ## secondary 6 digit code # and I did the first time use code. Both of them do nothing when I enter them. Also if I press the call button it actually tries to call the number and gives an issue. Is there a way to figure out if this code is wrong on my phone or another way to modify these settings?

Nevermind, I reverted back to stock firmware and it worked. Now I put the kitchen version back on. But issue is fixed.

Can't return 6900 Touch to normal WM6

So, I tried to flash Android to my phone, and for whatever reason it won't work- now I am trying to get my phone back to winmo 6. The problem is that I am with a small 'mom and pop' cell company. It's basically a generic Verizon. I need help finding a ROM to put on my phone to get it back to normal- I tried the Verizon ROM and the phone boots up with the verizon logo and once it fully loads the home screen it shows Sprint PCS. I also can't make calls (obviously), but I did notice the phone number now programmed in my phone is (000)000-0013. Also, with the verizon I put on it, whenever the display goes to sleep I have to reset the phone as it won't wake back up. Any advice???
what carrier is your phone? cuz if its sprint Just Put your phone into bootloader(Hold the camera button, power button and use your stylus for reset and hold it there for about a second and youll see three colors) and find the rom you need and just run the rom and i have other resources to fix your phone
email me at [email protected]
ill help you out

If your phone number is reading 000 xxxx that means that your CDMA programing (NAM settings and such) got all messed up after flashing the Verizon rom on it. Your best bet is to try to get your parameters straight out of your carrier (MSID, MIN, etc) and put them in there directly via EPST. The tools that coelloc123 is taking about may be CDMA workshop, which you really do not need unless you are trying to change the ESN of your phone or do some other stuff. The name of the carrier would be one of the things with CDMA Workshop.
As far as to why your phone is locking up, my guess is that you did not hard reset after flashing and you still have some "live" components from your previous rom. Lastly, if you are going in for a warranty repair or something, you will need to re-lock your phone or else they might not (and probably won't) honor the exchange since unlocking voids the warranty (which is why we have re-lockers in the first place )

HD2 PIN won't unlock phone with correct PIN

After having had my HD2 (4th HTC phone) for around 5-6 months, had to do a hard reset ftaer having a problem with the HD2 not recognizing my phone PIN #. Having now had the problem and doing a online search, seems this bug is a fairly common problem. I'd installed a couple of new Garmin maps (China mainland) and altered the gmsup file to read "LOCAL_VER=TAIWAN" from "LOCAL_VER=CHINA" which allows for the use of co-ordinates within GarminXT.
On the next restart of Garmin it started in Traditional Chinese, as opposed to
English or Simplified Chinese. No problem just changed the language settings to what I wanted.
Used the HD2 for several days without incident (and had not made any other changes or installed anything else), then used my Garmin on my HD2 to navigate a distance of around 380km (usually not a problem). Twice during the journey an advisory popup appeared with something like "Garmin unable... not enough memory... must shut down" - a message I've never had before, on any of my HTC's let alone the HD2.
Garmin then automatically shut down and I simply restarted it from my home screen shortcut, which it did without issue. The first time this popup message appeared I'd covered at least 150km. The second time I'd travelled another 80km or so. After it had occured again, I turned the phone off, waited 5-10 seconds and then turned the phone on again. The HD2 requested my usual SIMcard PIN, followed by the phone unlock PIN (simple 4 digit numeric PIN) and as usual I entered my respective PIN's (I use the same 4 digit PIN for both the Simcard and phone unlock). The Simcard unlocked fine, but the phone did not and I was presented with something along the lines of "incorrect password, please re-enter..."
In the end, after trying everything I could think of... soft reset, removing battery, trying PIN... 1234, 0000, 9999, and a few times getting "too many password attempts... enter a1b2c3 to continue". Once I got home a few days later I tried connecting to my two computers via activesync in the hope that they'd access what I wanted to copy etc. Unfortunately that did not work as both activesync connections asked for the phone to be unlocked, even though they'd been setup to unlock the HD2 automatically. I realised that inevitably I'd have to do a dreaded hard-reset. Pity as my last backup with Spb Backup and PIMbackup were done many months ago.
In my searches online I did find a couple of posts that made some references to users experiencing the same 'HD2 lockout' having installed Traditional Chinese and then having this problem. Though there seems there are far too many different situations that could also cause the HD2 to lock.
Also it's not the first time I've played or altered, installed GarminXT... and I don't think it's the first time I've had GarminXT start in Traditional Chinese. It maybe just coincidence... but for now, I'm trying to setup my phone back to the way it was after the dreaded reset.
password changed has happened to a fair number of people, and is probably nothing to do with the garmin stuff.
Never read of anyone finding a way around it other than hard reset, though.
i vaguely remember reading that the mentioned PIN issue is sometimes related to swype...might want to look into that avenue.
It's just happened to me. I installed swipe keyboard and done soft reset, then entered my pin but hd2 will not accept it. Any one found a solution to this?
Had this once too, though I didn't know anything about swype back then .(Didn't have it on my phone)
I simply turned off the device, removed the battery AND THE SD CARD then re-insert them after 5 minutes it should accept PIN normally (If not, then try to remove the sd card and don't re-insert it just boot) . (happened to me when i Just left Android DS V5 and went to WinMo, My device wouldn't accept the PIN)
Found this. Don't have a clue how to use this, but maybe someone knows and can shed some light.
Just check out the 'Solution' at the following address. I have not got permission to enter link or full web address.
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=768815
Hope this can rescue my hd2 and all who have the same pin lock problem.
I also experienced this problem that HD2 forgot my PIN. even 2 my colegues too.
back in the time when I got stuck on "enter PIN" screen, I found somewhere on the internet, that HD2 only forgets PIN, when you have exchange server set up. They say that it's not HD2's fault, but microsoft's. it's just a matter of time, when you get to this problem. the only solution is HardReset without any possibility backing your data up! since then I don't use exchange at all... never again in my HD2!
HD2 unlock Pin Code for SURE....
goto: HKLM/Microsoft/Software/Shell/Lockscreen/
check for DWord: Active and change it to '0'
check for Dword: Enable and change it to '0'
check for Dword: ShowLockScreenPicker and change it to '0'
reset your device and enter ur password and it will accept it.. now in settings u can navigate to Lock option and disable it easily only if u remember your code and it does not accept the code.

[Q] Anybody try registering their phone w/ Samsung?

I tried registering at http://www.samsung.com/us/support/account/regist/SGH-I917ZKAATT
No matter what digits I found on the inside sticker and typed them in for the s/n, it rejected them.
There are two digits way off to the right and then there are four more under the s/n, I tried every combination with and without these without success.
(BTW, I noticed that AT&T doesn't have my phone under 'devices' in my profile. So I can't select it as my phone yet. Geez you'd think these companies were surprised by the phone being released!)
Anyone else try registering the phone? I'm hoping they will have an update soon to fix some of the problems with the phone.
I did manage to get it registered. I tried the serial number, also, but the IMEI is what actually worked. Even then it was kind of "funny" in that it didn't accept the whole thing. The last two or three numbers (when looking at the phone) had to be omitted. The easy way to get the number is to dial *#06# and then just start lobbing off numbers until they accept it.
Edit: If you go to Samsung's home page and go to the "Owners" section you can register it and the page properly asks for and accepts the IMEI number. The link you posted above was what I used to register the first one and it's not right.
Ive registered two now. I had to return one. Both took the whole IMEI number. Both worked the first time I tried with out removing any numbers.
i registered my focus with the imei number with no problem...i registered it from my phone!!!
Is there any benefit to registering?
Any freebies?

LG G2 32 GB No download mode & No recovery mode

Hello!
I sold an LG G2 32 GB to a person on Tradera (eBay-like site). Before I sent it to the person I made two factory reset, the first time was to check that everything was gone and the second time was for safety's sake.
I had used the phone for about 2 years with no problems, there was not any carrier locks on it. When the buyer received the cell phone, he said that the mobile phone requires a code and he said it was Carrier Code, so I bought a code for him to lock up but he pushed it in and it did not work, according to him. A day after, he sent the picture on the screen how it looked. He then sent it back to me so I could fix it. It required "Backup PIN" Invalid Backup Pin it said. I have also attached picture. Without / with simcard this comes up, it does not indicate a SIM card. I can not get into download mode or recovery mode. Nothing works and cell phone is useless.
What should I do to fix it?

Help Activating Replacement Device on Verizon

I’m not sure if anyone will be able to help but I thought I’d ask. I had my phone replaced under warranty for the volume buttons sticking in and not being able to click them any more. Got the new device in and it wouldn’t activate. It registers the SIM card and goes to no service. I called Verizon and tried to get them to help me activate it and spent 2 hours on the phone with them and tried EVERYTHING they could think of. Entering IMEI numbers, SIM numbers, factory reset, and a new sim card.
In the end they told me that when I turn the phone on the IMEI number they entered changes to a different one from what the phone reports and is failing activation. They had me try a new sim card to make sure the sim wasn’t broken and that still didn’t work. Called Motorola spent a while on the phone with them trying the same things and they agreed it was a rare case and that I would need a second replacement phone.
I received the new (third) phone yesterday and it is having the same problem as the second phone. Won’t activate and when its powered on the IMEI number on the Verizon side is reports something different then what any of the other phones are showing. (so now between the 2 phones I have 4 different IMEIs reported (the assigned 2 the phone shows me and the 2 made up ones that the network switches to when I turn on the phone)
Now Motorola is suggesting another replacement and Verizon has stopped helping me and on my last call they transferred me to the Motorola support number. Has anyone seen anything like this?
Is there anything I can say to help try and get this resolved other than waiting for a fourth phone that may or may not work?
