Hi, i Have had my touch hd for about a week now. Last night i noticed that the above was missing from the opera web browser. im unable to zoom in because there is nothing in the bottom left hand corner for me to press on.
anybody have any idea where it may have run off too and any setting that my restore it.
A soft reset doesn't do the trick.
thanks.
P.S Great forum,i came about it by pure chance, glad i did too.
Up! I'm looking for a tweak too.

Hello!
I have noticed that when I flip HD2 to the left(button on the right), Opera rotates very nice. However, when I flip it to the right, nothing happens.
Any ideas how to fix it?
Hi, have the 1.48 rom installed and when using Opera 9.7, pinching to zoom seems to move the page to a random place (hope that makes sense).
For example, when trying to zoom into the pages 1,2,3 of a forum so that I can select the next page, I zoom in but end up looking at a different part of the page. I've tried changing the way I pinch, i.e. up and down, rather than diaganally, but to no avail. Not sure if anyone here has the same problem, or whether its just when viewing xda pages?
Thanks.
It's because the page is reformatted to fit the screen width, after you've zoomed in. So you are actually looking at where you zoomed into, but the content is now in a different place. If you notice, it works perfectly on images (images opened directly, not within a web page) but appears to jump when you zoom on text.
Hope that makes sense.
Yes, it's not a bug, it's because of Opera's text reflow feature. The page will always jump to the left when you zooom in/out if there's text (yeah that sucks!).
But there's actually a pinch-zoom bug on the HD2 related to the native winmo apps (File Explorer, etc..). The fuction suddenly disappears after a while and is only brought back by a soft reset : http://www.mobiletechworld.com/2009/12/26/6-bugs-that-htc-has-to-fix-on-the-hd2/
Thanks for the quick replies guys.
Thought it was me and my sausage fingers
Hi guys
I recently upgraded my rom via the htc website, it upgraded the sense ui to 2.5.
Before upgrading when i used opera i could double tap on a point on a web page and it would zoom to that point on the page. Since upgrading i can no longer do this.
Has anybody else had this issue?
Thanks in advance...keep up the great work!
Instead of doubletaping you just tap once.
tried that it does nothing.
just to clarify im not trying to hit a link to go to another page, just to zoom to a particular part of that page.
Thanks for replying
resolved..
apparently you can not double tap to zoom on a mobile version of a website. The double tap works as it should on a normal version of website.
Thanks for your replies
Seems to work fine, it zooms in with a double tap, although it zooms in a bit too much for my taste, but you can also use the magni slider at the bottom
Mine just doesn't work. Does anyone else have this problem? Any one have a possible solution?
Mine works in landscape mode. In portrait mode, I have to use home/menu/notifications to get there. It's like the touch on that row is dead or something.
Any insights as to a fix would be appreciated. I have tried reboot, soft reset, and a factory data reset.
I started a thread on this yesterday the title is:
"I can't be the only one with this problem...."
I am too new here to be able to post links
It might be.. a bad screen.
There is a app that test the input response to touch. I do not remember the name of it... I was used to show how the nexus 1 screen was better touch response.
Use that to see it the top of your screen works

The app in question is called Multitouch Vis Test. Search that exact term on the Android Marketplace and it will come up.
So far Oreo is a noticeable improvement in battery and lag. But... Something has changed when using Instagram. The home touch buttons are now too closely overlayed over the Instagram buttons. They're literally on top of each other down there at the very bottom of the phone, With each button ust slightly to the left of each other. The result is that you're constantly hitting the wrong button, no room at all for error.
As a remedy I installed the XDA gestures app but that has a new slide bar that sits right in the center of the screen when using Whatsapp so that you cant see what you're typing. I have to tilt the phone in landscape to get the bar out of the text input box. Any suggestions?
I experience the same issue in both vanilla instagram and GBinsta.
Another issue is that Google Assistant is also right in top of the LG home touch buttons so that it blocks me using the screen capture/screenshot button. I have to do the fingerprint button+volume button thing. Otherwise the related searches pull up results take up half the screen so I cant screen capture. Google must really want us to buy Pixel phone...
What models are yall using? I'm on H918 Oreo using the small display size and my instagram works just fine.
I don't use Instagram all that much but I just went to check out this issue.
The thing that I noticed right off the bat was that if you have the "Home Touch Buttons" set to hide then when you use Instagram they will almost completely overlap when dragged up.
Solution: Use the little square dot in the bottom left corner (tap to change the state) to keep the Home Touch Buttons from hiding. They will nicely reside under the Instagram app and not be overlapped. When done with Instagram just tap the square to go back to the hidden state.
Hopefully this will be of use to you.
