like the title, anyone know hot to remove the GPS static navigation? i use my jade and my old cruise most of the time in the citycenter by walk... in car i've already a navigator so i don't use my ppc gps...
anyone know nothing about that?
thx a lot for any kind of help
yes, need help too.
Thanks.
I used the navigator while walking and it worked fine.
I think, that GPS radio is off by default. It's turning on while running on a navigation software. In my navigation soft, I can turn GPS on/off manualy.

Hi
Installed TT5 on my Mini S and since then the bluetooth automatically switch itself on even my GPS receiver is turned off and I have manually turned off the bluetooth on the phone? How can I resolve this?
My other question is: I am new to using sat nav mobile device. Will i be able to make or receive calls whilst I'm using tom tom without affecting the navigation instructions?
Thanks
Andy
I have discovered the solutions to these problems.

I get use to TomTom but my friend said that iGO 2006 is better so I downloaded it, installed on my universal but there is no connection with my BT GPS. I tried many settings with comm. ports in iGO but nothing is happening. The software won't connect to BT GPS.
What else I can do?
Thanks in advance
Question? Did you activate Bluetooth from the ComManger?
You must activate it first the start iGO....
Geko
Hi!
Which GPS device are you using (NMEA or SIRF)?
In the GPS specs on the manual which comm port and baud rate does it use?

Ofcourse I did :]
Anyway, problem solved and I even dont know how...
I asked this Qiestion because TomTom activate Bluetooth on his own.
Geko
Yes I know, so activated BT first but not because of that i works now.
Anyway I will still be using tomtom, iGO has some bugs, but the maps lokks brilliant
Does anyone know or is it possable that the MDA is capable of running a GPS? I tried to put TOM TOM on it, but it kept saying can't find any maps. Has anyone had any luck in trying to put one on thier device?
I have a bluetooth GPS receiver and have TOM TOM on a storage card and it runs great. The maps cost money and you can manage them through the TOM TOM home application on your pc.
I have IGo installed and use an Asus BT GPS receiver, works fine.

Most people use Bluetooth GPS receivers for this kind of thing. The wizard does not have a GPS radio in it though, so you have to use an external GPS receiver.
If you're willing to sacrifice accuracy and automation for step-by-step directions that you manually step through, try Google Maps. In addition to being a very good (and very FREE) mapping tool, it can do radio triangulation so, if you're utterly lost, it can at least show you where you are within about 2000 meters. Much better than nothing at all.
I got lost once on the way to an acquaintance's house, and used Gmaps. By typing in the street address where I was lost at, and the desired destination, it got me back on track in a real hurry. Indispensable for those without funds for GPS receivers.
Hi - my country hasnt got tomtom maps. I have a bluetooth GPS paired to my JasJar. . Does anyone know any application where i can put down my own way points and navigate using the Jasjar in connection with the Bluetooth GPS from point topoint.

Where are you from?
I have "normal" navigation to "on-road" and OziExplorer to bike off-road trips... It can work, but it is without voice instructions...
Thanks
Thats interesting. I am from sri lanka. How can i get that software that you use.
Hi there,
I'm terribly newbie with Jade, so sorry........
I have installed TomTom navigator 7 but GPS doesn't work (I cannot fix sats).
Which GPS must I set in TT configuration?
- integrated GPS receiver
- cabled receiver
- other receiver GPS NMES
And what about com port??
thanks

see in this post
integrated GPS receiver is the one.
When testing, dont expect it to work indoors...
Thank you, that's right for the internal receiver.
Now I've got another problem: I cannot see the sat bar during navigation (I can see the bar but it's empty - no sats locked, even if TT is working right) and I cannot see locked sats in GPS status menu.........
Moreover, when I select a destination if I press "C" letter (only C, with other letters everything is ok) TT stops working and I must reset it.
Can you help me please?
My TT version is 7.450.9028
Thank you
