Using HD Tweak I've set "Fast Sleep" to disable.
It does not work, even after a soft reset

i just installed chis10230 lock screen middle and Bsb Tweaks and now my lockscreen has diappered. how do i get the lockscreen back without yet another hard reset?
Thanks
did you install the stock reset one?
Navigate to "Start", then click "Lock" - your problem should be solved.
perhaps you disabled AutoLock in BSB Tweaks?
run the app and make sure that AutoLock Device is set to On
soft reset

You need to instal an external application to do that. example "Tasker"
I have a rooted A500 on stock ICS 4.0.3
I was using an app which forced "show touches" on and then the app crashed
Now show touches is permanently on and I can't turn it off as it hasn't got the option in developer settings
Anybody know a way to disable it without having to reset it?

Try it to factory reset your Fire tablet, bypass Amazon account registration (Do not register your Fire tablet with Amazon account).
Can you disable this:
-> Automatic Smart Suspend
-> Collect App Usage Data
-> Auto Sync (can be disable in additional apps like MacroDroid device automation)
-> UI animations (in developer options)
Enable this:
-> Adaptive Battery (You needed to use Activity Launcher from APKPure to enable this)
Adaptive battery can be used to optimize the battery usages from background apps and make the battery voltage is good.
How do I use this feature? It's always asking me to "enable Alexa in settings" when it's already enabled.

You can reset your Fire tablet into factory defaults.
