How to disable 'Clock & Alarms' screen after clicking clock in HTC Home?

I occasionaly click on the big digital clock on the HTC home by accident, while aiming to click on the e-mail or sms icon. Clicking on the clock opens the 'Clock & Alarms' screen, which I hardly ever use.
Is there a way to disable the opening of 'Clock & Alarms' when clicking on the clock?

Have never seen this pop up on the forums.. sorry.
I've seen once around here somewhere in the Kaiser section someone was able to change a short cut on the home screen (one of the mail buttons), but that was it. If someone could find the reg key for that or whatever controls it youc ould probably disable that clock/alarms link somehow, but i wouldnt know where to start

I've searched for quite a while to find a solution.
I want to "remap" the click to open galarm for example.
But for now, I think there is no solution.

You can download Manilla 2D Customizer and then disable the alarm status and digital clock in Home tab. There will be no interaction when you press the analog clock in the home screen.
Oops, sorry. Wrong post. Thought that this is related with ROMs with Manilla 2D.

Is it something we could arrange with the SSMaPa soft ?
This soft proposes to replace "Clock clic" and "Alarm clic".... I am sure there is something to do here..

Don't think you can change that.
I believe the function is associated with the display and setting of time in windows and not changeable via the interface (Manila 2D for instance).

Yes SSMaPa will do this. You can map the clock to any .exe including GAlarm, GProfile or any other program you wish.
Still does not stop you from accidentally pressing it though.

point it to a phoney exe

Install Tweaks2k2.Net
Go to:
Tweaks> Security, No acces to change the time
Reset
Done!!

Thanks EZ. It works. I could not get ssmapa to work.
But it disables the windows time feature even from system. We dont change the time everyday so its good enough.

touchflo dissapeared

i have managed to make touchflo disappear from the today menu. it happened after using ssaap? the program remapping software. I can run it from file explorer but how do i get it back. i could live without it if i could find a nice weather plugin for homepage

I suppose you tried the obvious and reenable TF3D via Start>Settings>Today>Plug-ins>select TF3D?
If that doesn´t work, I´m afraid I can´t help you.....

Yeah I have the same problem. My Touchflo has dissappeared yesterday. I hadn't even installed anything new! Been through to the today settings and removed toucflo. Then put it back on and even after doing this it does not show up.

touchflo has actually disappeared from settings screen. Its not there?. All because i wanted to set agenda as my calender. It was going great until I tried to change the appointment link on screen and then gone. I recon I will re install duttys rom which is excellant. Its seems really fast.

Phone Hangs during incoming call. Cant answer

I have seen this bug since the initial days of the X1. Recently after upgrade to the R2 version the problem still exist.
I just have the following things installed in the phone:
Xperia tweaks
David Andrs Batti
Facebook panel
A_S S2U2
A_C S2V
HTC TOuchflo 3D HD Beta 2
Pubba TouchFLO 3D Panel
HTC Enlarge Start Menu
HTC HTC Volume
I always use the TF3D as my defaul panel. I simply love the interface.
The issue is when the phone comes in nothing happens when i press the ANSWER button. I can reject the call but cant answer it. I need to restart the phone and things are fine again.
I think the culprit is
S2U2 or TF3D.
P.S. In s2us i dont use the slide to answer fuction.
Someone else has similar issue.
Its really irritating.

I would blame TF3D because it's the only thing you seem to have on your phone which is known to cause problems.
S2U2 works fine here, but maybe you have something done wrong in the S2U2-settings.
Try setting everything off except:
- Lock when device wakes up
- Power Save mode
- Safe mode
- Display Mode: DirectDraw
Also be sure you have the latest version installed www.ac-s2.com

Have you tried a hard reset and then not installed either (and possibly nothing else) for a few days to see if indeed it is a software issue and not a hardware fault?

it happens to me too
by any chance, do you have your phone in a pouch and then when you take it out, it switches to landscape mode from portrait and then you can press anything? thats what happens to me...

Actually I've experienced the same issue and I've posted in the Official S2U2 thread.
My thoughts is that S2U2 is the culprit, because I don't even have TF3D installed (nor ever did). I have been wrestling with trying to fix it for the past 3 hours, and I've come up with nothing!
I have seen this before and I think it is the way that the official WM caller ID tab works. It seems to always want to 'fight' another program for focus. S2U2 has a difficult time with the first call (also the first time the WM caller ID tab makes it's first appearance), but after a restart/reload of iLock2.exe, everything is fine for me.
This really sucks because I've had to resort to the default caller ID tab so that I don't miss anymore calls!

If you think thats a issue let me try setting up S2U2 to SLIDE TO ANWER option and see if it works for me.

sometime, generally after pc connection or bluetooth headset connection, but also without using usb connection at all, ive the headset icon showed and it disappears only if i connect-diosconnet the wired headset.
anyone with this problem? i repeat, not a big problem, but very boring...
possible to solve?

same thing here. seems like it started with me after I used my s9 bluetooth headset. when I used my wired set, I don't think this happened.

I have the same issue, but it doesn't have any consequences for me.
Another issue I do have with S2U2 is when I make a call via a bluetooth headset, the keypad disables and it happens often that keys are pressed while the phone is in my pocket after I made a call. Haven't found a setting that disables this either.

i tried to install it but i get the error that it is not signed and therefor not running.
i looked up everything here but there is so much on S2U2 that i dont know what to install in wath order.

-go here and download the wvga version and the language pack.
-extract the s2u2 cab file in your memory card and the correct language file.
-install the cab in your tp2 (not in the memory card), rename the language file (i.e. lang.english.ini->lang.ini) and copy it into \programs\s2u2 folded (when asked click on replace existing file).
-reboot.
when windows starts a popup appears and s2u2 starts for the first time. so you can now set it up in s2u2 setting (wallpaer, ecc...)

mine shows weather correctly...have u selected touchflo3d in s2u2 settings?
...have you downloaded the weather for the location and have you setting up the gmt time for the same locatioon in home tab?
to show weather correctly weather tabs must shows the same location as gmt time.

I selected both Weather panel and HTC Home Weather, none seem to work.
Yes, tocuflo3d's weather panel has downloaded the latest weather updates...

Hey I just installed S2U2 cause I needed a good locking program but for some weird reason and multiple installations, uninstall and soft-resets, I'm still not able to get the slide to unlock work.
I mean i get the screen with the time and all just the slider isn't there.
i have tried many skins but still no go.
Is there a solution I don't know?

In the S2U2-Settings, set the following values (beside the others you want, of course):
Hide all softkeys: OFF (This is the value that hides the slider)
Display mode: GDI (Otherwise the screen would be scrambled sometimes when you change the orientation)

It won't go completely away by this but it's much better than with the other display driver modes.
If you find a definitive solution for this problem, please let me know

My Location/Weather problem in 6.5

I've just upgraded to the official 6.5 ROM.
If I select the Weather tab, after a moment's pause the screen changes to one just showing HTC in the centre, then returns to the Today screen.
If I click on My Location under the flippy clock, this seems to take me to the Weather tab again, and the same happens.
Under 6.1 I had added locations to the Weather app, following instructions found on the forum.
Can anyone please help me get the Weather functionality back?

One the home screen right under the clock I can see just "my location" text a thats it..I am unable to find any information on the internet.. Any time I try update it manualy from weather menu I get message about communication problem..But when I manualy added few other locations there is no problem at all..Just "my" location info is still empty..Does anybody know how to tell my bloody phone where am I ? I know it sounds funny but something is definetely wrong..Thanks for any answer..
Yeah and I am running stock version of HTC WM 6.5 recently downloaded from their site..
I am just wondering when they will fix all those problems with new ROM. Like crazy clock when locking my device or flashing light notifications..I would rather wait for new ROM few more days then have problems like this..

On your homescreen you can click the "My location" and from there select what location should be seen on the homescreen. Go to the weather tab first to add your city.

I've got My Location set OK, but still can't get the Weather tab to function at all - I just get returned to the Today screen.

Hmm, maybe im doing something wrong. I cant get my location to update in the main weather tab but i can add citys as the other user said. However if i click the "my location" tab under the clock on the main screen, it takes me to the weather tab of my location which is blank as it wont update for some connection error but i cant see how i can make one of the other citys i have added to appear on my homescreen?

I couldn't get this to work either... but I've got it working now... for some reason nothing works until you go to weather tab --> menu --> settings and select " download weather automatically"
After that, if you select "my location" as your clock... it automatically updates to where you actually are... neat huh!

Then, a few seconds later, I'm dumped back on the start screen.
Please can anyone suggest a solution? I did add cities to weather under 6.1 - could this be anything to do with it?

hmmm, sounds like manila/sense is actually crashing when you go to the weather tab, as the screen you describe just sounds like the blank today screen with no ui on top of it, then it is restarting tf3d and hence bringing you into home screen... odd

Unfortunately, trying to fix the problem I fear I've bricked the phone!
Thinking the issue was that I had edited the 2330fc3c_manila file (to add my location to the Weather cities) I searched for a 'virgin' copy, found what I thought would do the trick in a thread on this forum and installed it.
After this, and a reset, the phone wouldn't launch HTC Sense - the screen invited me to tap to launch it but wouldn't go further...so I tried to restore from a pre-6.5 backup.
Unless anyone knows a way of reviving it, the Topaz is on its way to the menders this afternoon!

I assume you did a hard reset and not just a soft reset?

Yep, tried that - it won't go past the initial screen.

Just reflash a rom. that should fix it
