I changed time in regional settings from the 24H default to 12H, this doesnt display well in all apps, but when I try to change it back I only get options for
hh:mm:ss tt or h:mm:ss tt
Anyone got any ideas??

24->12hr clock

Does anybody know the registry edit to convert the 24hr clock to a 12hr clock in the xda-developers rom????
-Justin
No need to edit the registry: just go to 'Settings', 'System', 'Regional settings', and on the 'Time' tab change the field that says HH:mm:ss to 'H:mm:ss' and set the AM and PM symbols to 'AM' and 'PM' respectively.
hey this didnt work it just removes the zero before single digits (ex: 0:32) what elase do you suggest that I try???
thanks in advance...

Whoops, I think you needed 'h:MM:SS', as in lower-case 'h' for the 12-hr clock.
Sorry...
its actually H:MM:SS TT its the 12 hour format

Location of registry setting for taskbar time format?

Exactly what the title asks... I would like to change my current time format on my taskbar. It currently displays time in the h:mm format. I would like to switch over to h:mm:ss format if possible.
Im assuming there is a registry setting to alter that? Anyone know the location?

That seems a bit overkill for what I want to do. I dont want another program on my phone. I simply would like to change the format of the time on the taskbar. That program adds a second time display next to the already existing one that covers the area where the close button would be.
Anyone have any ideas? I would think the key would be located in the /windows/nls/overides area.. but the only time format key I see is for the long format.
I think it impossible to edit clock format in taskbar.
Clock format can be set in the windows registry:
AM/PM Time Format (Windows Default)
Registry location: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\International]
Keys:
"iTime"="0"
"iTLZero"="0"
"sTimeFormat"="h:mm:ss tt"
24 Hour Time Format
Registry location: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\International]
Keys:
"iTime"="1"
"iTLZero"="1"
"sTimeFormat"="HH:mm:ss"
I think this is changeable from Settings > System > Regional Settings.
Click Time tab, change Time Style from h:mm to h:mm:ss tt
This'll also force it to display AM/PM, IIRC.
If this isn't doing it for you, try this registry edit:
\\HKLM\nls\overrides\STFmt = (string) h:mm:ss
If that doesn't do it, someone else might have a fix for you...

Military Time, STUCK

My phone is stuck in Military time...and yes ive gone to regional settings and such...its in the "correct" format but it's still messed up....can anyone provide some way to fix this...maybe a reg. edit? Thanks
I'd check the list of formats closely. I was almost positive I had the correct format selected to display x:xx AM/PM but when I looked again, I noticed an option further up that was the correct one. That solved it for me.
Set regional settings to:
"h:mm:ss tt"
You have to scroll up to see it!

The dropdown has scroll arrows. You have to use those to see all the options.

Remove/Disable WM6 "Lock" function

I've run some software that forced me to enable the "Lock" function within WM6.
Its protected the tick box within the settings screen so I can't turn it off again and the maximum timeout is only 20 minutes.
Does anyone know of the (registry?) hack I need make to "unprotect" the tick box so that I can diable the Lock function or to extend the timeout value to a couple of hours instead of 20 mins...
I've found a registry key that changes depending on what I set the timeout to (5, 10, 15 or 20) and I tried setting to to 180 hoping that would give me three hours, but it made no difference.....
Is there a registry logger that works out there that I could use to identify what registry keys the new software was changing when it forced the Lock to be set on?
I'm part way there.
I exported the registry to my PC and spent an hour scanning it.
I found these two registry settings which I've changed from 20 mins to 180 mins and its not timed out yet....
Pasword Registry Settings:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\Security\LASSD\AE\{50C13377-C66D-400C-889E-C316FC4AB374}]
"AEFrequencyValue"=dword:00000014
"AEFrequencyType"=dword:00000001
"DisplayText"="Idle Timeout"
"FriendlyName"="Idle Timeout"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\Security\Policy\LASSD\AE\{50C13377-C66D-400C-889E-C316FC4AB374}]
"AEFrequencyValue"=dword:00000014
"AEFrequencyType"=dword:00000001

Try this 'Stay unlock' it allows you to uncheck the box on the password page.

unlock?

how do you reset the automatic lock i disabled it but can not reinable it? thanks
Click on the top bar (where the battery indicator is, just to the left of the task mgr)-->press the button to the right of the battery charge percentage (looks like the previous battery indicator)-->Select the "advanced" tab-->Adjust as you wish, just make sure all boxes are checked and you select an appropriate delay. I currently have mine set at 10 seconds and 1 minute for both "on battery power" and "on external power." This should cause the phone to auto-lock after each respective delay period.
thats how i have it set right now. and its still only going to sleep after a period of time its not locking .
i ran this program
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4996782&postcount=2961
then i uninstalled it cause i didnt like the lock screen on s2u2 all boxes are checked.
i ran the same .cab awhile back. the only thing that put it back was a hard reset.
also just so you know, installing the dusk slider screen will revert you to the old winmo locker when you uninstall it. so beware of that too
how do i do that? will it wipe the data?
You will need to reverse the registry changes that the cab made, then your lock will work again, make the following changes in your registry:
HKCU - ControlPanel - Keybd - DeviceLockWhenSuspend - change value to "1" from "0" (no quotes)
HKCU - ControlPanel - Backlight - AutoDeviceLockEnable - change value to "1" from "0" (no quotes)
Hope that helps, had the same problem
thank you very much
well i have not gotten this fixed but that is ok i have tried alot and i am used to the manual lock which isnt bad and the screen shuts of in 10s and it goes to the last screen which isnt to bad.
