Sure!
1. Open the messaging application.
2. Click on the right softkey 'Menu', and select 'Options'. You should get a list of accounts to change settings for.
3. Select SMS\MMS, and mark 'Request delivery notifications'.
Done.

This feature is available in your imate already.
Before sending any SMS, (you are still in the writting mode of the SMS), go to "Edit", then "Otions", and then put "Tick" in the Request SMS text message delivery nofitication.
You got to do this evey time you need a delivery notification of a message.
I know.. but can it always turned on, so that we don't have to tick on that option? just like sonyericsson or nokia(the dillivery report on by its default setting).
I have been using imate for the past one year, and I'm a heavy user of SMS. I do not think this feature is available like other mobiles.
I guess we have to do it every time we send SMS!
this file may help you the make the sms dilivery report ON , I'hv tryied it on Imate PDA2
If you do it from within the messaging App, don't start a message.
Menu - Tools - Options, select "Text Messages" and then tick the box, it will stay checked for all messages. Been using this for ages on my Trinity.

Send V-Card opens MMS?!

When I try to send a contact as a v-card (rigt click on contact) an mms message is created.
Is this a bug? Can I change it to pOutlook?

This is driving me nuts, is there a registry edit to allow us to send vcards via email?
Found a work around here: http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?p=6688232#post6688232
1. go to contacts
2. tap and hold the desired contact to pop up the menu
3. select "send vcard"
4. this will initiate a MMS with vcard enclosed
5. now, interrupt the MMS and use the file explorer. in the "temp" folder under "my device" you'll find the vcard named 'vcard.vcf'.
6. finally tap and hold and use 'send to recipient' ...

Automatic Delivery report in Deleted items

Is there a prog or tweak, that automatically send the sms delivery report to the deleted items list. I like to know that SMS has been delivered but don't like manually deleting them. Anyone know anything? Thanks in advance.
I'm Interested in this as well.
Use Saman's program:

Thanks I am using this wonderful program, but doesn't do what I want. I still have to press delete manually. What I want is only delivery reports landing up in the deleted box. So that I receive the delivery report but not necessarily as a pop up, and if I want to check whether msg has been delivered I can always go to deleted items and check.
This can be done with mortscript

Sorting SMS

How to sort the sms by date?
I am using the generic UK rom
Open sms viewer
On the upper right corner , there should be a "pull down" arrow.
Tap on and select ,"Received"
If you tap on it again it again. It will toggle between
ascending or descending!!

Hi!
A similar question: When using threaded sms, WinMob sorts the sms threads by date, BUT not by the date of the last received!!
Instead it uses the date of the FIRST message in thread!!!! That makes new messages appear somewhere down the list, which is not useful....
Is there a way to change that behaviour?
Thanks in advance,
Bax
I have install XperiaTweak and i had select the disable conversation-style SMS. But after i disable this conversation-style SMS it won't sorting my SMS by date.
That is what I have exactly installed on my X1i
XperiaTweak V2.0
Turned off the conversation mode...
And I have no problem sorting ?!??!?

Navigating E-Mails

Done a search but didn't come up with much, so apologies if it's been asked before.
Is there an option/reg hack that means you can select e-mails in an inbox without opening them? With the lack of directional buttons and touch only, I can't navigate to an e-mail that I just want to delete rather than read.
Any tips?
Thanks

While you are in inbox, open the right soft menu & in select messages option select several.
Now, select messages you want to delete & keeping over any one of selected messages click & hold.
Now you get an option to delete the messages you have selected.
