anyone know how to install the keyboard?? i install the .cab file but it doesnt seem to work..... any one have any idea???

As long as u talk about the TouchIT HD Keyboard, its just installing the cab + soft reset works fine, except the known issues "au-key on keyboard" and "word prediction for phys. keyboard does not work because TouchIT HD Keyboard changes the settings from compime.dll to eT9ime.dll"
how to soft reset????? install only the TouchIT keyboard is enough??? no need install thc HTC touch flo????

You just install the .cab and then restart your phone. The HTC Keyboard can then be chosen.
but i tried installing... but it only show the available keybpard but dun realli work....

Why does it that sometimes when I select to use my Phone Pad it just stays on the keyboard? and the input selection hangs from then on..stays on the keyboard forever.. until soft reset.

I have tried the Atom version as you suggested but the Phone pad still hangs sometimes I select it.. mostly after i have activesynced with my PC..
Can anyone verify? in the following steps
Reboot -> Active Synced (USB) -> Goto messages -> click on input button -> select phone pad.. does it hang?

try reinstalling it again, no need to remove first it will do a remove and install and should work fine.. check other thread tho for other issues

tried this a number of times..still it would revert back to keyboard.
think it's caused by having too many today screen plug-ins.
remove some or all the plug-ins and try again

I used to have the TF3D(With tha panel installer) cab installed on my Xperia and it worked fine.
I decided to give Manila HD cab a shot sence people were saying it was working faster.
I did a hard reset and installed the manila HD cab by itje, installed the panelinstaller but when I choose to start TF3D it keeps loading...
I've searched the forum but I can't find the answear.
I wonder if I'm supposed to install the cabs in a certain order for it to work...
Anyone who can help???

I was told just quit by clicking "panel" key, and re-select this panel. I haven't tried it, so let me know if it works.
I did try that...it didn't work. I did a soft reset as well but no luck...
I installed the Manila HD cab on my storage card by the way. I don't know if that can be the problem because I did the same thing on my TF3D and it worked fine...
Yes,I gotta the same problem and at last it is solved by re-installing the cab in phone rather than card.

I double that....did the same earlier today and it worked
i install the .cab.... althought it show the compact qwerty and stuff... but when i select it... it is still the normal keyboard??? i did a soft reset already.... wat else should i do????
If it isn't working a hard reset will do the trick though a bit drastic. Are you using a different language or something?

I have done the soft reset, still same issue. have not done a hard reset because all my programs will be gone
i am using ROM version 1.18.723.3 WWE
I had many added extra Apps.
Previously the Menus are working, but it been a while that i click on it until today and realise it cannot be open.
Anyone able to tell me how to get the Menus back without a hard reset?

Delete this file "shellres.dll.0409.mui" in your windows dir after installing the taskbar and soft reset. Not all device use this file.

seems everything ok, but when I have to input,

How can I install another keyboard?
I want to download another keyboard,
but I can't get into the Android market,
it required me to input an ID/password,
and I cant see the keyboard.
finally I have the problem solved.
I tried to download the apk,
and use Astro to install them sucess.

Any alternate keyboards will work from the sound of it.
Very strange that this only effects Blackstone tho. Oh well.

Go to the Market and install another keyboard application. Or perhaps read the FAQ and learn how to install apps using the AndroidApps folder...

Hah, I forget you guys don't have a physical keyboard. Irony.
Get an APK and install it manually as stated above. I don't know if I'll be able to fix this bug without breaking every other device... There's probably a build.prop change that can be made (or a startup.txt change on lcd.density?) but as I've said I don't have a Blackstone, and the soft kb shows up great on my RHOD...
So if someone could say how they fixed it using the default keyboard, perhaps we can have something the user can apply easily to Blackstone builds...
