Hi all
Does anyone know about a skin for SPB mobile that works on Xperia?

Karsten
Have you tried it?
/Mike
I have tried it and found that the installation was complicated. I got totally "spammed" with different settings and skins to choose from during the setup. Maybe that's a good thing if you actually know what every choice you make will do. I would only recommend this if the setup was made easier.

Is that app also made for the SPB Panel?
Do you mean skins for SPB of for the SPB panel? Because those are two different things. You can alter the panel skin with the program at http://www.imarche.net/omnia/index.php but then it's going to be all fu-up.
I have installed this program and it works for the Shell Panel, which is really good and it allows you to change the skin and also all of the icons from so many different options, it is really good, the only problem i can find is that it keeps giving me 2 status bars at the top showing network, battery and clock,
anyone who has installed this know how to get rid of the second status bar???????
EDIT: actually the whole setting up thing for this is far too complicated and doenst actually work properly, all i want to do is change the background colours etc, anybody know how to do that?

I'm in the process of customizing the look of my Exec, but I've ran into a small problem. It seems that the default battery icon and the O2 won't go away. I'm using Wisbar with a Juni Sci-fi theme everything looks great except those 2 out of place icons. How do I get rid of them? I believe they are the default icons because they can be moved from side-to-side.
On a side note how would I make the Juni icons bigger?
thanks.
I reckon, the O2 active is causing the problem. IMO, it can uninstalled. Unistall that app and see if the problem persists.
AFA juni's icons are concerned, you cannot make them look big. Try some other themes(like mac os x by pixel, xcillion's vista skin etc)
PS:you can hard-reset and since you are using the official O2 rom, go in for corporate mode install(code:0506). This'll prevent O2 active of getting installed
Thanks Kdskamal, yeah I did install the corporate mode using that code, but O2 active is still visible in my programs folder. So is there any other way to remove it other than Hard resetting it? I do remember removing it through the Add/remove programs but I guess it didn't completely remove it huh?
thanks

The easiest way for you ll be getting a trial copy of sk tools. Use the uninstaller of it to uninstall it completely.
Do let us know if it worked
How about Pocket Mechanic? Can I use it to do the same thing? I'm a Noob, when it comes to things Pocket PC

I never used pocket machanic. SK tools is easy to use. Give it a shot.
what are you guys using for switching profiles ?
i'm looking for a basic profiles app along thelines of ppcprofiles or phoneweaver.
unfortunately, i cannot seem to get phoneweaver to work at all - changing profiles says that the notification has changed but it never does.
is anyone else having this problem or should i blame it all on tf3d ?
thanks in advance
I always use the SPB movile shell and want more profiles too!
you could use spb phone suite. it works but imho it takes up too much place on the today screen.

Hi there all,
you could use the Touch HD\ HTC profile manager. It can be found under the Xperia Programs, Panels and tweaks section for the Xperia. I was also looking for the same thing a while back, and found that.
hope that helps!

Can you post a link please? I can't find it and neither can the search engine.
At the moment I use SPB Phone Suite and it integrates into the Mobile Shell panel, if you don't like it on your today screen.
Sorry, my mistake... first post! Link Contained.
Here is the link to the whole thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=441439
the section your after is under Touch HD utils its called volume control
Regards
Winmowgster
I dont think we are talking about the same thing? ... the volume control is just a new skin for setting the volume right? .. I think with profiles we mean like they are used in nokia phones where depending on your selected profile u ve a different ringtone, volume, message tone etc. ?
cause I d find something like this really useful .. at the moment I cant even figure out how to change the tone of when I receive a text message.
Looking at the Original Poster's request, I suggested a solution, which I thought fits the bill pretty well.
If you want to switch between silent, ring and vibrate then this does the job.
having read the request again, and googling the programs that mrdo tried, i see that i may have made a mistake. :S
The SPB Phone Suite is awesome! Well worth the dosh! Have as many profiles as you want plus automatic time or event based profile switching.

thanks for your input. i do have the touchstone volume control installed and it's very handy but i am looking for something that will allow me to switch ringtones, alerts and volumes at the touch of a button.
after a hard reset and yet another reinstall of my apps, phoneweaver still doesn't work. grrr and double grrr.
mrdo, what is the problem specifically? Is there an error on the device or do you start the application but nothing of significance appears?
I briefly tried phoneweaver and had the latter problem. Couldnt figure out whether it was running or not.
In the end I ended up giving up and going for the Touch HD simple profile manager.
I don't find HTC profile manager in that thread, can u post the direct link?

the application installs and seems to work properly but the alerts and ringtones don't actually change. not really sure what the issue is at this stage ...

Hey!
I have now installed cLauncher and find it extremely useful, however, one small problem.
When i go to the options section some of the options are not visible, there seems to be an overlay from something else blcking the tabs across the top which means i cant access them.
Anyone seen this before? Under settings it seems that the 'about' information is showing across the screen blocking the tabs, very strange.
If anyone has the cab for a program that will enable to show you screenshots then i can do that.
Im using tdlaunch at the mo but cLauncher looks alot better.
Any help would be apprecitated. I have searched and there is plenty of guides and help sections for cLauncher but none of them explain about this issue.
Ta!
Idea - If you use the vga fix avaliable from the sticky threads, it should show claunch as per normal, its just a screen resolution issue. I also used to use claunch on my old XDA, very good free alternative to Pocket Plus 4.

Sounded like a logical fix to my problem, however, ran WVGA Fix3, then installed Claunch, again got the same problem though!! Any other ideas? Grrrr
After installing wVGA fix, did you run the WVGA fix prior to running claunch ?

Which res is going to be best for c launch?
Iv just tried it as well, the menu options are still obscured, I dont think it can be used on the X1. Have you tried tlaunch, do a google search, this was the original tab launcher for Pocket PC ?

Yeh mate, using tlaunch now, its ok and does what i need although i cant seem to change the icon size, it doesnt matter what value i put in it still keeps the icon the same size.
I guess ill soldier on with the smal icons then...
I guess im right in saying that i cant change the Icon size in TdLaunch?

You can have more than one them, problem is they are big and reboot required after switching. The Diamond TF3d Setup will allow you to reorganize Touch Flow and change themes easily if you have themes in the right format. I have used that program a little and really like it, but needs more themes ported to that format. Makes it easy to get everything done.

Go to this thread, there they have all the programs to create your own themes and quite a few others.

It seems this has now been officially released. The build is 6411. I tried but I can't find any differences between this and the leaked build.....but then again it was working fine for me with no issues.
Has anyone else seen any improvements?
You can get the trial from here:
http://spbsoftwarehouse.com/pocketpc-software/mobileshell/download.html
I found the different is... when I install this new version on my x1. The 3D accelerator option disappear.
i just bought it but cant install it yet. unless you guys can tell me how to install the exe from a mac

I think it's gone completely....that either means it is no longer hardware accelerated or it's autodetect as not ALL devices will support it.
in my opinion, MobileShell 3 is a flop... too many defect.

Not too many bugs or defect, to less functions!!!
oh sure....too many missing functions!
i'm not english
the only differences i have found is that the x button now works without it freezing the handset and that its a bit quicker and smoother. but have not found anything else which is a shame as i was expecting more from the offical release compared to the beta (what now seems like a near final release with one or 2 bugs to iron out).
I will try the new version and hope it will fix my Facebook via Wifi and X Button freeze bug. But like I understood Ganondolf the x button works fine what is absolutely an improvement.
Can't access Facebook...Oh boy : (

mine fires up when i hit the today screen panel. kind of convenient for me.
ok so my first imptrssion: its awesome! has the look of cupcake (sorta) cool widgets and super slick interface.. glad the panel button wrks again
did have a few probles with the shell, seemed rather slugish if u wanted to switch back to today or exit the shell and restart it, seemed to take a while. also... anyone else notice if u added any widget regaurding the camera it did nothing.. wouldnt open at all im using R3a camera tho.... couldnt change icons at all... which is rather annoying considering the features pocket plus 4 gives u for adding/changing icons and their names..... i uninstalled due to the speed of the shell and the inconvience of the icons and widgets ..... i hope they make sum tweaks .... such a beautiful shelll. and very finger friendly
ok. P.S. and... does anyone know if you can add today plugins like widgets? this would be awesome too add google search as a widget... couldn't figure out how... thus why i reverted back to just plain old pocket plus...
just a few tweaks and it'd be perfect!!!!
yea...tried it for about a day, and i think i am going to uninstall it now. It amazed me at first, but i think the old combination of pocket plus and today plugin already does the job for me anyway...
the facebook integration here feels pretty useless too....
i have a small problem with this one.
Since i have installed spb3 , when i make a call, it automatically opens tomtom.
It is very annoying.
Anybody got the same problem?
And how did you fix it?
Thanks.
It seems that I can't add any programs of my own choice in the predetermined categories of the launcher (Internet, Tools, etc.) or add my own category. Or am I missing something? This is what made Mobile Sheel 2.x interesting and customizable. If this option really is gone I think it's a weird choice.

All these changes can still be made. Adding/Deleting from the default menus needs a registry key added per folder. Subfolders can only be created in the registry at the moment. I don't really use this much but I imagine (so I don't know for sure!) that the GUI will have this functionality added in future releases.

But the old version had this option as a regular function (the menu button in tab Advanced)! It seems weird that in a new version one is forced to revert to editing the registry.

Works fine on my X1, apart from multimeadia. None of the camera links launch the camera application. Anyone else found this problem
