How to get a Bigger or Full Screen picture for Caller ID? The Default one is pretty small.
There is no application? pls rep something
Have you tried some of the other Panels? Maybe spb or even the touchflo3d could have bigger caller pictures..
They do, but the resolution stinks...TF3D just blows up the little tiny picture bigger which is crap...
S2U2 has an option for enabling full-screen caller ID, but it stretches the tiny Windows Contact pic so it looks awful.
Oh god! This is so bad. There is not a single software? Shame on WM
There are several alternatives;
S2u2 as mentioned above, (set the contact pic using S2V btw, scales properly that way). Available in the Dev & Hacking section of this very forum.
As is iCaller http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=450187
Commercially theres
Phonex and Photo contacts pro both are really nice apps.
The manilla dialer is my favourite, and one reason why I tend to install it on most devices.. The blackstone one doesn't do fullscreen but it is much better than stock, and a nice slidey answer button.
There's probably more, but as you don't seem to want to search for them I won't either..
But the first find in GOOGLE comes up with these..

Not if you use S2v to assign picture to contact. It looks great on my X1.

Ahhhh! Did not know that, good idea
Though I'm using "Fonebook" to sync Facebook pictures down to my Outlook contacts... I guess I have to pick one, huh.
I`m just testing out Photo Contacts Pro. The Photos are still crapped..to far to much compression noise...yes i reasigned them from the orignal source imagaes.
Ist Phonex looking better?
Ok found the settings to increase photo quality. 400 x 400 pixel and still a lot of compression artefacts...it has to be better...
Photo Contacts Pro is having a problem sending SMS...i get the message "this sms message cant be sent" anyone any idea what to do about it?
I like the SMS editor from photocontacts..larger buttons and all that stuff...

Just thought id show a shot of my today screen See what people think.
It was based on the iphone theme and uses rlToday.
The clock works (the hands go round!) and the calendar is also right.
Has anybody else done a cool today with rlToday?

cool is nice how did you do it please email me :[email protected]
thanxs dekyprio..
Install rlToday plugin http://rotlaus-software.de/
Turn off all other today plugins (optional, frees up space)
Get wild with XML editing. There is a guide on the site to the tags you can use.
Basically, you can place text, pictures and registry items anywhere on the screen. You can also place icons for applications (and resize them to however big/small required.
That looks sweet! Does it work properly in landscape as well? If so, might take my first steps in xml editing!
It works fine in Landscape, except you get scroll bars if the height/width is too much.
The rlToday developers are considering xml sections for land/port modes so you can have a different layout that switches when you change orientation. It is not supported yet however.
I spent a while working on my icons!
The Maps icon is cool, because its near where I live (not actualy exactly were I live, or you would all stalk me, hehe).
I suggest you make your own maps icons using google maps! its so easy, just screengrab the map of your area, and cut out a small section the right size for the icon. You can zoom in/out to scale the map to fit your icon well.
rlToday is incredible!!!!
This is my screen available at rotlaus site in the skin forums section...

Pyrofer,
Nice.
Can you post the screenshots on landscape as well as portrait in 192,128, and 96dpi? I'm curious to know how well it shows up under those conditions.
Thanks.
It is nice and interesting.
this is a topic for today screen:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=326511
I appologize in advance if my answers are buried somewhere in this forum... I am using the latest version of S2u2 and I have it running almost to my satisfaction, with two exceptions.
1. How do I get rid of the unread email count on the lock screen?
2. is there a way to reduce the size of the caller ID pic? Not as small as the thumbnail but not full screen either. I'd like to see my background with a similar size pic (centered) as the contact pic on touchflo.
Thanks in advance for any assistance!
Your best bet is to ask in the S2U2 thread

Happy hunting
yeah there is also another threat on this subject.

Hi I saw this picture in clocks for TF3D thread
Since the experts of XDA have ported HD Manila to T Diamond.
Can this multiple appointments feature also be added to the Home screen
Thanks in advance

+1 same here...I know there are loads of Threads regarding this, but it has been a while ago since people asked this....so I thought I join this Thread...
It only shows more appointments because there is more room on the screen.
800x480 vs 640x480 - 160 more pixels worth of info. Or 2 appointments.
Damn I wish we could get rid of the damn call history to give us more room!
more appointments
Size of font can be reduced to have more lines.
Even clock size can be reduced to have more screen space
There are very expert software programmers in XDA
if you hide the big clock, that the small one will be shown, there is enough space for 4 tasks! look at my (photoshop)-picture!
how can i edit the number of these tasks?
great idea
that would be very helpful, has someone try this ? it would be great
i want it so badly...
it seems the appointments appear randomly, sometimes there would be 2 if i minimize the clock, but mostly only 1
it's kinda inconvenient...

Very good idea.
I've attached two pics to this thread... one is of the iPhone SMS Notification and one is a SMS-Chat Text Notification I'm currently running on WinMo (as you can see both are practically the same). The SMS-Chat Text Notification is nice but when you click the Envelope (view) button it automatically opens the SMS-Chat client which needless to say is a big memory-hog. Is there anybody out there who can make a very lightweight QVGA SMS/MMS Notification app (in the same style of this SMS-Chat Notification or the iPhone SMS Notification pictured) that links to the native Windows Mobile Messaging program? It would be totally sweet if it would possible...
Thanks in Advance!!!
if u have the .cab pass it on lol
it looks nice
i like s2u2's tho but hey for the people that dont use it
thats pretty nice

Maybe a little clarification on my part is due... this Notification is part of the program SMS-Chat by Vito. While I love the notification part of this app (which I took a screenshot of on my Vogue), I truely dislike the remaining parts of SMS-Chat. I posted the screens because I was wondering if anyone would be able to make a simple, lightweight Notifiication Application just like the Notification part of SMS-Chat by Vito.
P.S. - The "Theme" in the background of my screenshot is not a "Theme" but is infact NFSFAN's v6 of Windows Mobile 6.5 for the Vogue with a Bamboo Wallpaper

I have the same phone, could you show me how to upgrade to WM 6.5?
There's a way to get animated contact picture which is pretty cool and isn't on s7/edge.
You record a gif go to contact photo and change to the gif and this is animated in contact details plus if you pull contact pic down in contact list you get full screen and also you get animated contact icon when getting call from person you assign gif to.
That's a really cool idea! Does it actually exist on any phone right now?

That is brilliant! Thanks for the find
Was thinking now i need to redo a picture (well GIF), then realised i can edit my camera roll using the GIF capture tool - NICE.
Download Animated Photo plugin from Galaxy Apps for the stock camera. It Captures in GIF from the stock Camera, and then can be applied as a contact image. Tested and works.
However, The annoying fact is - S8 doesn't display Full Screen Images of contacts for incoming calls.
