Has anybody else seen this? I was setting up mail accounts on my Touch HD - and I could have sworn that I saw "VoiceMail" as an option when I went into Messaging->Accounts. But now I cant get it to show up again. I even went as far as peforming a "Clear Storage" so I started from scratch - but no luck.
When you're on the mail TF3D tab,
Go to More (left button), then New you get MMS/SMS and VoiceMail

Thanks Sebbes. So I did see it. I will only see this before I create a mail account? With accounts created; one is selectd and I have "Inbox" and "Menu" as my left and right menus.

So i changed from the 8125 to the wing and I have discovered it is much more difficult to send a new text message. You have to go through like 5 different commands...(open the message bar, select text message account, tap menu, scroll to new, scroll to sms) it just seems so tedious so i was wondering if anyone knows of a way to make it so i can have new message be one of my soft key choices (preferably where the delete soft key is). Its really annoying.
Thanks BP
How about when you install the HTC Home plugin, I HAD one until i bricked my phone yesterday :'( it came with the PDAVIET rom which was released some time ago.
What it does is, it shows on the Today screen a link to Email and one to SMS.
That's probably the fastest way.
Cheers
how 'bout putting the command "new sms" under a softkey ?
Or simply install the program "name" (sorry forgot the name) that puts a "New" menu at your left soft-key in the today screen, from there you can choose sms, e-mail, mms etc.. Just search for New menu
Press Contacts softkey. Scroll to the intended recipient. Tap, hold, pick "Send Text Message". Type text message. Press Send softkey.
What's the problem?
How About VIJay?
Hello,
I use VijaySMS All the time... It allows you to make a shortcut (I use SPB Today so I create the shortcuts in there) that either starts a blank SMS or start one to a specific contact. You can find the program at Vijay's webpage here: http://www.vijay555.com/
Enjoy!
You could set up the Message button to automatically go to your SMS Inbox when you press it.
Messaging Inbox > Menu > Tools > Options...
Select Text/SMS and uncheck "Display account picker when opening Messaging." This will automatically open your SMS Inbox, thus eliminating the first two steps of your problem.
I have htc home installed. I love the way palm threaded sms works, but it gets really annoying at times. is there any way to set it up so that when i hit the text button on htc home it opens JUST my sms inbox, and when i hit the email button, it opens JUST my email? right now, it opens the main messaging window, as well as the text or email window whenever i hit either of those buttons.
also, when palm threaded sms is installed, my text message inbox opens itself about every 10 minutes on its own, does anyone know how to stop this?
if not, does anyone know of another sms program? the one that comes on the mogul is really slow and ugly, i dont even care if its threaded, i just want something faster and possibly better looking than the built in one

Load up your emai/sms ap, menu -> tools -> settings untick "display account picker"
well that solved the problem of it opening the picker, but it created another problem. now the email icon on the htc home plugin just opens text message inbox as well. is there a way to set what those buttons open? Also, is there a way to delete this "Outlook E-mail" account?
thanks for your reply isix
Yesterday the TouchFlo of my Touch HD started to always show one unread e-mail although all mails were read. Deleting the account or a softreset or doing both didn't help (with or without TouchFlo disabled). Even without any mail account I still get one unread e-mail.
Start -> Messaging shows the correct mail count (0 unread mails).
If I receive a new mail the TouchFlo counts 2 unread, after I read the new one, 1 unread message remains.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

Go to Messaging to mail account open the tree and in outlook email you will see a message delete it and you are all set
Thank you very much! That was it!
I made an restore with pimbackup, and I still see 25 in the counter (I have a lot more). I also don't see any message in the outlook email
Sorry to hijack the thread but I have exactly the same problem but with SMS messages.
Its shows one unread message but there are none in the messages folder. Even if I go to the tree, sure enough its states Inbox (1) but upon entering the inbox there is nothing.
Can anyone help please, its driving me nuts!!
I'm having this exact same problem. Touchflo shows 1 SMS. I've completely cleared all messages in all folders, yet it still shows 1 on the counter. Like GuyAdams, it's driving me crazy too.

thanks a lot. that was my problem
it was driving me crazy.
i had the same problem a long time ago and someone in the raphael forums gave me a tool to reset unread message count. Go search there and see if you can find it. It was simply an exe file to run
I have the same problem with emails. It says I have 2 unread but ive deleted everything.
Tried going through the tree as above. Nothing shows.
Tried the .exe fiile. Nothing happened. Still showing 2 unread.
Any other suggestions?

This is what works most of the time!
Here's a little more detail. (different versions of Touchflo have minor differences)
1. go to 'Messaging' tab (sms texts) in Touchflo.
2. tap softkey (left) labeled 'All messages'
3. This should bring up 'Messaging' program.
4. tap softkey (right) labeled 'Menu'
5. tap option 'Go To >'
6. tap option 'Outlook E-mail'
7. Delete unread email here.
8. Close Messages and check that your email counter has adjusted.
Hopefully this works for most problems.
If you have done this you can download the *.exe others have mentioned. The name of it is fixunreadcount.exe and about 9k. Hopefully I've attached a zip of it to this post.
Still the problem, hidden account?
Hello,
Thank you for all these answers, but no method worked for me... I still have one unread message
Perhaps this problem has a link to this other issue: as I configured my gmail account, a bug makes that no account is created if I leave the name "Gmail" for the name account. If I choose "Google" or an other name, it works. Perhaps the "Gmail" account, which does not appear, is hidden somewhere?
Thanks for your help!

Thanks.
This .exe removed the 1 from the SMS inbox, but not the 1 from touchflo. I then did a soft reset and it was still there. I then did the "Go To" Outlook as suggested and checked Outlook and SMS inboxes and neither had the 1 in but JOY OF JOYS, when I came bake to Touchflo, the 1 had gone.
Thanks again.
Hello,
I have some issue with e-mail tab in Manila. Let's have an example:
- I have Outlook and Google in Manila
- I go to mail tab, there is a stack of mails displayed
- I tap the top e-mail on the stack and... nothing. To be more precise I see "pressing animation" but the message does not open (at least this is something I would expect, i.e. message would be opened in default messaging application).
Am I missing something? Is there any fix?

Hmmm... works. That's strange. Thanks for help.
P.S.
Tried s reset but without any results.
I recently banned ALL sprint apps through the Damaged DConfig app. When you do this it unfortunately removes the stock sprint visual voice mail app. Well, instead of going into the dialer and long pressing the "1" key, I figured out how to at least add the functioning icon back to my home page the way I liked it, but without the visual voice mail functions.
1. add "Voice Mail" to your contacts.
2. for the phone number of "Voice Mail", use your phone number, ex. (XXX)123-4567.
3. go to google and type in "voice mail icon" in search and find an icon that you like.
4. save it to your PC.
5. open up google gmail on your PC's browser.
6. make sure that your phones gmail account has synced.
7. go to your contacts in gmail on your PC.
8. located "Voice Mail" in your contacts and click on the "change picture" on that contact.
9. click to browse for the image that you saved. double click the image.
10. once it syncs, go back to your phone and long press an empty space on your phones homescreen.
11. click on shortcuts, then direct dial, and then click on your "Voice Mail" icon.
Thats it. It doesn't give you the functionality of the visual voice mail, it's only the basic dial in voice mail, but it helps to fill the void on your home page. You should still recieve a notification of a new voice message, then just click your new "Voice Mail" icon to listen.
Hopefully someone else will find this to be helpful. I know I did.
