my 8125 went to 24 hour clock and i cant seem to set it back to 12 hour.. any ideas... thanks....i didnt install any new software or anything...
Start > Setting > System TAB > Reginal Settings > Times TAB
Chaneg "Time Style" to "h:mm:ss tt" or whatever you see there that you would like.
Later; Lew
i have tried that.. actually the last tt is not an available choice.. is there a registry edit i can do...maybe i shoudl have mentioned i flashed it to the aku2 flash thats out there... It was on am/pm then all of sudden no more... dont know what to do....
Code:
HKLM\nls\overrides\STFmt = "hh:mm t" (REG_SZ string, no quotes)
Please note that the single 't' only shows P or A in the Taskbar and the Clock/other applications. If you use 'tt' it will show as 'PM' and 'AM' in the Clock/other applications, but it doesn't display at all in the Taskbar.
Hi,
I looked around but did not find this:Is there a AUTO update from the netowork time to the clock time.
I thought the revised ROM would have that. I have 2.25.11.1 on Cingular.
Thanks
Go to start, settings, personal, then phone. Then tap the time zone tab, and there is a checkbox there to auto update time with network!!!!
did not find it
I did go to settings, personal, phone ... and there is no tiem zone.
There are tabs ... phone, services,network, pin2, more
none of those tabs have time zone.
Ahh, the reason I have the tab is because I have Molski's customized tweaks installed. Here is the reg entry to get the tab.
To add a time sync page to your Phone Settings (Start > Settings > Phone > Options > Time Zones) , set the following:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\OEM\PhoneSetting\ShowTimeZonesPage = 1 (DWORD decimal)
And to remove again:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\OEM\PhoneSetting\ShowTimeZonesPage = 0 (DWORD decimal)
Off Molski's website --> so thanks to him!
for some reason i have it checked and it's not working for me?
are u still having this problem?
thanks
i have the same rom and phone as u
i want to add some progarm shortcut to settings . personal . system . connection
is there any way to do it by reg or else
Hi,
this is easy. Look with this example on Sliding Keyboard Sounds.
Add the content from attached zip file to OEMDrivers.
Make reg entries to your OEM Packages:
This entrie add APP to Settings:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\HTCCPL\Applet20] next applet is 21, next 22 etc.
"CmdLine"="" enter here app commands
"Path"="\\Program Files\\SlideSound\\SlideSound.exe"
"Title"="SlideSound"
"Name"="SlideSound"
and this entrie to Settings Group:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\SlideSound]
"Group"=dword:0
Group 0 = personal
Group 1 = system
Group 2 = connections
wfg
starbase64
this doesn't work for me on the kaiser!
I was trying to add the Long Press End Key settings to my system section.
Suddenly I can't change my button assignments any longer because the list of available buttons comes up completey blank in System-Personal-Buttons.
What happened?
Mine is empty too (ROM 1.4.3)
Yep - mine's always been empty.
If you tell us what you want to do, it may be possible.
For example, an application shortcut can be renamed to "long_send" and put in the windows folder, and that becomes the action for a long-hold on the call button.
There's also other apps out there for defining button actions.

Can you *please* post a list with these shortcut tricks for the 5 buttons on the device?
That would be sooo helpfull.
As nobody posted me a list of these shortcuts, I just dug up (and reformatted) one myself.
Here it is for general consumption
Shortcut Usage
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
C:\windows\long_camera.lnk Calls up Camera app.
C:\windows\short_Camera.lnk Calls up Camera app.
C:\windows\long_send.lnk Links to phone application by default (left-most button).
C:\windows\long_poc.lnk <...>
C:\windows\long_end.lnk Ends Call (and locks device).
C:\windows\long_home.lnk Jumps to Home screen.
C:\windows\short_poc.lnk Calls up CommManager by default.
C:\windows\long_power.lnk Turns Off device by default.
C:\windows\short_power.lnk Quick App.
C:\windows\long_pound.lnk Line Switch.
C:\windows\long_VolUp.lnk Voice Dial / Volume+.
C:\windows\long_VolDown.lnk Voice Notes.
C:\windows\long_NonCamera.lnk <...>
C:\windows\short_NonCamera.lnk <...>

long_* => Button is pushed down continously; short_* => Button is pushed down only shortly.
And another one I dug up in some remote corner of the Universe and re-formatted for easier viewing:

Create the above shortcuts by storing the entry from first column in an ANSI file with suffix ".lnk".
@Pharao The long_home doesn't work for me.
long_send works, but home doesn't. Did you try these on yours?

Enter your registry and go to:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Keys and add a new key, named "40C6".
Soft reset your device and go to System > Personal > Buttons.
The Long_press Send key is now configurable in this menu...
(If the key "Keys" doesn't exist, just create it and put the "40C6" key in it)

Why not use AEBPlus and save yourself the time to make all those shortcuts?

Because:
A) That would be just one more startup/background program running on my WinMo device, slowing everything down.
B) Each of those alternative "button mapping ways" always has the potential of causing some permanent damage to the system (and trust me, AEBPlus might just work for you, but I have seen pigs fly high on my WinMo device)
C) Its free of charge and one can create a shortcut in the Windows Folder in a lot less time than it would take to install & configure yet another WinMo application.
D) No PocketPC ever got bricked by just creating a shortcut in the Windows Folder

pretty good pints but:
a) AEButton plus isnt a resource hog
b) Pretty much everyone i know that is using it on HD2 hasnt had any issues
c) It gives you three times more configurable buttons because you can assign double clicks and triple clicks.
d) AEBPlus is free of charge too
e) It does more than just shortcut (info screens, task manager)
f) Takes a couple of clicks to setup, can just keep your .ini file for later restores, no fiddling with long command strings...

Well, I tried that program and it didn't screw anything up, but it also didn't work.
Plain and simple - it did NADA, ZERO, ZIP, ZILCH on my HD2.
I actually found that at least 75% of all WinMo "Tweak Progs" either have a real hard time tolerating each other being active at the same time, or don't like if you run them on a device with a custom ROM or other changes.
For all these reasons I am truly not in the mood (no more) to put yet one more straw on that camel's back (camel=WinMo).
A lot of the shortcuts in this thread don't work on the HD2.
This seems to be a much more reliable list: [TUT] Creating direct links to control panel items
I am looking for a minimalistic way to reassign/remap the windows hard key to start task facade on my hd2. The "put a short_xxx.lnk named file into your \windows directory"-method seems the most fitting for my purposes. Problem is that I have no clue what xxx must be in order to remap the windows key. Hklm/software/windows/keys gives no hints either. So far I have tried:
short_win.lnk
short_windows.lnk
short_start.lnk
short_pound.lnk
short_AP1.lnk
None of these wild guesses started the task facade shortcut. BTW this is my first post after a lot of reading on this Board and I am impressed by the good spirit of the community
