phonealarm

Quick question. I just installed phonealarm on my phone but I'm having trouble registering. When I go to the about tab and click register, i can't bring up the keypad to enter my serial number. Does anyone know how to register the software? Send pocketmax an email but no response yet. Your help will be appreciated.

It worked fine for me. Make sure the input field is selected, or do a soft reset and try again.
While we're talking about PhoneAlarm, does anyone understand the notifications? I basically want my phone to have 2 profiles: to vibrate on recieveing SMS and calls, and do to nothing on recieving them. Before i installed phonealarm i would change the phone between vibrate & silent, but now that doesn't seem to work because of the phonealarm profiles. I have to change both the phone and phonealarm to get what i want. Is there an easier way?

what do you mean input filed needs to be selected?

Mine also never had that problem, but the last 2 times I have reloaded my ppc, it has done the same, not showing the keyboard.
Go to the about tab where you need to register. Click in the blank block where you need to enter the number. Press your start button, it will then bring up the keyboard icon at the bottom. Click on the keyboard and type in your code. Click on register. This way worked for me.

Dial a Contact

I'm sure this will have been covered, but I've tried searching a few different terms with no luck
If I have a contact named 'Eddie' I want to be able to dial 3334 (eddi) and it show his name, I press and it dials.
It used to do this for me, I'm not sure what I did to make it stop. How do I turn such a feature back on?

When you press for example 3334 what happens? Numbers appears of course but does Eddie appear at all? Or is your problem that the name appears but nothing happens when you are trying to select and call it?

Weird, I have stock HD and as well as I know that dialer "view calls and contacts" option is only way to make that happen or not. What if you put "eddie" in speed dial, Dialer>menu>speed dial>menu>new, does it work?

No, doesn't help.
I should have mentioned sorry, I'm on Davideuck V3 ROM.
One thing I notice, I type the name and it can guess the name as I press the keys, but just the name, no actual contact.

Number witheld

When i make a call from my HTC HD2, my number is witheld, does anyone know how i can reverse this?

Go to Settings tab, Menu, All Settings, Personal, Phone GSM/UMTS Services tab and select Caller ID and click "Get Settings..."
Set that to something appropriate (either everyone or only contacts in this case) and click OK.

Hi All,
if i am on a call and same time if i get another call it is not showing in my missed call list. What settings i have to do for it or any other software to install.
It is making me miss many importent calls

You need to set this on provider level. Since I can't see from which country you are I can't help you directly. Get in touch with your provider. They can tell you the settings you need to make on their server.

GO TO PERSONAL
GO TO PHONE
SELECT GSM/UMTS SERVICES: YOU WILL GET" CALL WAITING OPTION"
SELECT IT: CLICK GET SETTINGS,
it will give 2 options 1) Notify me & 2) donot notify me,
SELECT NOTIFY ME OPTION....... PRESS OK ON TOP RIGHT CORNER OF SCREEN!!!!! WAALAH! YOU ARE DONE

How to hide Caller ID?

Hi Guys,
I got a new G4 yesterday, one thing I'm struggling with is hiding my caller ID.
I tried one solution for moto g3 (giffgaff forum - can't post links on a new account) but there is no "calls" icon under Settings... or anything similar...
I also can't find "additional settings" or "caller ID" on my new phone.
Anyone knows how to do it?

open up the dialer to the call log, click the 3 dots on top, settings, call settings, additional settings, caller id, hide number

If anyone has a dual sim G4, in addition to the response by Rempala: after 'settings' you need to select 'calling accounts' then choose the sim for which you wish to make a change, then 'additional settings'. At least, that's what worked for me. But thanks to Rempala - without your guidance, I would have been totally lost.

I tried to make hide id like u said but its didn't visible and in that mentioned (use default operator settings )what is this i didn't understand .... Plz solve it

Hello, thanks to Rempala and ax201, now i know about it too , but some operators do not allow you to change that configuration, "use default operator settings" is usually to show ID.

Hi guys ...How do I hide my caller ID as it shows use "default operator settings". How to go about it...Pls help ...Urgent
