Using existing PPC apps as Today screen plugins?

Is it possible to use existing apps/programs as today screen plugins. For example, I am currently using Throttlelauncher and want to use S2V as my photo browser but rather than having it launch into the program fullscreen, I would like it to run "above" throttle's bottom launcher bar like the other pages. I guess this could also be accomplished by changing the size of the window that it runs it? I know slim to none about coding so the easier the fix the better if it is possible. Or does anyone know of a nice photo browser plugin (I'm trying to keep with the diamond-style theme if possible), has anyone tried to use the "flash" style contacts type template and gear it towards viewing pictures?(I think thats somewhat similar to the diamonds photo browser from the youtube video I saw)

More Today screens as panel?

Is it possible get that more those standard today screen as panel?
Cos I would like to have FEWidgets & iFronz etc. as panels and still have that normal today screen.
Any ideas?

2 today screens
The closest iv seen to solving this is to use a program called mtoday, see thread - Best Apps for the x1.
You can create 2 today screens with different plugins, run program, set profile 1 and save, then create shortcut, do the same for profile 2. In the programs menu you then find links to launch your 2 today screens. I have pocket plus 4 and touch 3d. Why use panel spaces switching this way is easier and faster.

I think axjiii is searching a programme or a option to create a panel for a specific programme, for expamle a panel which launches iFonz or other programmes. I was also looking for such an programme with which I could create several panels for i.e. skype, TV, iFonz, etc.
BTW, is iFonz working on the X1? As I'm still waiting for my X1 I couldn't test it yet.

Well, maybe the TF3D panel launcher could be tweaked to launch FEWidgets and iFonz.

Maybe you should try downloading the SDK panel editing package from Sony and dissect the "TF3D as a panel" cab: it just "runs" TF3D
There's also a "youtube" panel but it makes the same simple thing: when pressed, it runs the youtube app and turns "today" screen to blank

I'd also love such a feature. I have got the panels installed already (not using them though) and to me they very much seem to be something like multiple today screens. It would be nice to just keep the existing panels and the normal today screen and to be able to define another panel (or many more) for which you can define a different today screen with different plugins etc.
What would be very important from my perspective is the impact on resources, both memory and CPU. It would be good not having all today plugins running at all time, even when they are not visible, because many today plugins affect performance a lot from what I experienced. Also the time when switching the home screen via the panels shouldn't take too long, so, initializing the today plugins completely whenever switching today screens/panels would take too long in my point of view. Still, today plugins which run in the background need to get specific messages, e.g. GPRS monitor for still counting the data.
What I would love to have with such a solution would be to be able to switch panels/today screens by switching profiles, i.e. switching panels via commandline.

Looks quite simple for everyone who has Microsoft Visual Studio.
Unfortunately I don’t have MSVS, but I someone create a panel that simply call some app stored in registry (or panel1 for app1, panel2 for app2 and so on), it will be great! In combination with mToday or SecondToday it will allow for anyone to have multiple Today Screens.
I’m personally prefer to have on main Today Screen SPB Dairy and SPB Phone Suite (organiser) while on second Today a lot of shortcuts to useful apps and tools (pocket pc).

today screen in touch flo

Is there a way to edit the today screen in touch flo? I dont only want the calender and clock, but also my plugins (like spb weather) from the today screen when i am not using touch flo.

I just loaded this Home screen for the analog clock, but you do have the opportunity to select no clock, and no calendar.

The TF3D UI does not support 3rd party plugins, so no you can't do it. Best alternative is to use other UIs such as Wisbar Advance or SPB Mobile Shell, which I believe do support such plugins.

Today photo dialer

Is there a photo dialer that can be a single icon (say in Ilauncher) that when clicked displays a simple vertical list of photo contacts (speed dials in a sense??) still on today screen??
Theres plenty of photo dialers that plugin on the today screen but act as their own app and consume way to much room on today screen!!

how bout installing iContact and Ilauncher. Then define your favorites in iContact and upon closing iContact have the favorites page selected. Then just have a shortcut to iContact in Ilauncher and it will open your favorites page. Good enough?

disable weather?

Hello,
I have the following problem.
At first: I want to use the TouchFLO because I like these app.
On my Today screen, I want to display calendar entries, notes and G-alarm.
Now, when I go to "settings->today->elements" there is only "TouchFLO" activated. When I select calendar, notes .... and go back to my today screen nothing happens.
When I go back to the element settings, the selected options (Calendar, notes...) are unselected.
When I deactivate TouchFLO, then everything I selected is shown at the today screen correctly, but I want to use both....TouchFLO + notes, calenar...
Is there any solution?
Or is it possible to take out the weather applikation at the today screen or to make the clock a little bit smaller? Maybe then it's more space.

Dude, you are trying to switch between two options - Touch Flo and Windows Mobile 6.5 home screen. On windows mobile you can see what you want, on touch flo you see what HTC has put.

Search in xda for M2DC (this is manila 2d customizer), with it you can remove tabs

I already have M2DC installed.
It also was no problem to remove buttons from the sliding bar but I
can't find a function to remove the weather from the today screen.
You know where it is possible?

I like these sliding effects.
I only need this sliding tab on the today screen where i have direct access to programs, contacts, internet etc.

The weather widget is "fixed" part of Touchflo.....
You could use an alternative today screen like SPB mobile shell.......

SPB Mobile shell is the way to go
