Any good battery indicator software for HD...? - Touch HD General

...the ones for Diamond don't seem to work

I use and like this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2922530

I know it's simple, but I use a little self contained exe with TINY footprint called k-battery. it always appears in the top bar, and you can configure it to show time and battery or just battery.
...IB a n e

I use the VGA FixNover % battery icon and Batti, which shows a bar across the top of the screen which is visible while running applications.

I use WkTask which display a bar for the battery level at the very top.

so in your opinion finixover battery doesn't affect battery consuption much more than leaving standard battery display?

Large horizontal Battery indicator

Hi,
until recently, I had a nice coloured battery indicator at the very top of the screen, over the whole width.
I uninstalled iLauncher because it used to much space for me, and installed TrayLnch instead. Now that battery indicator is gone, so I guess it came with iLauncher.
Is such an indicator available separately?

Batti is wat you're looking for:
http://pda.jasnapaka.com/batti/
You can customize the colors that are used in the topbar indicator!
there are 5 stages for which you can choose your own colors:
- normal
- low
- critical
- charging
- A/C
And you can also select a margin on the left, the height of the indicator, and at wich levels you want to switch to "low" and "critical".
Looks great, thanks
There is another thread for this, but do either of you know how to get RID of the existing battery icon in the tray itself? I as well use a different battery displayer (spb myself) but I hate the one in tray.
Also, 1-2tje, what are you using at the bottom of your screen to show you current loaded applications? I have the first icon on the right side, but none of my other running apps show up.

So far nobody has an solution for the batteryicon in the topbar!
The icons at the bottom of my screendump above are not running programs! It are shortcuts created using PHM TrayLaunch (use search) . however some programs place a icon in the bottombar while they are running e.g. tomtom, while other programs don't place an icon there. Therefor i think this is program specific.

Best way to get APPS on the Today Screen

I had PocketPlus 3 installed, but I decided to remove it because of a backlight issue and the fact it had some wierd square edges at the top of the screen, but I love the concept of a few programs on the today screen.
I currently have pocketbreeze and pocket weather installed on it.
What can I do to get a few APPS on the today screen with some nice icons. I know you guys out there are doin it, whats your fav?
thanks

The weird lines at the top of the screen really bugged me too - till I realised that (a) it was a battery meter and (b) I could turn it off in the settings dialog. I have no issue with the backlight - seems a perfectly functional app to me!
It would be nice to be able to create desktop links to individual contacts though (I could do this with my previous Symbian phone) ... does anyone know if this is possible?
iLauncher can put shortcuts on the today screen....
just found out that contact breeze can do the contacts...
thats what that is? battery meter?
how did you disable it?
can you show me a scrn shot of your setup with pocketplus?
I use CLaunch for nice shortcut icons on the today screen, and its free

Here is SPB Pocket Plus and SPB Diary setup without battery icon:

[Plug] NumBattery remaining battery capacity figures (accurate to 1%)

NumBattery allows the default Windows Mobile cell battery 4 show icon (left) retirement, which can show a percentage figure (right) with an accuracy of up to 1% of the battery at all times concerned about the consumption of friends should be useful.
【Installation】: the installation of cell phone to NumBattery.cab memory, restart the phone to see results; if there is no change, uninstall, install a QVGA.cab install, restart your phone.

very nice! I've been looking for this for a while. I'd rather have an independent icon on my taskbar than one replacing the start icon, so this is a great replacement for ArielBattery. Thanks!
Great idea, unfortunately does not work on my HTC Elfin.
Can someone host this somewhere other than ziddu? I can't connect from work (not sure if the site is down or blocked).

Thank you, good sir
awesome! love it.
It doesn't show the number in my P535. The icon is actually changed.
Not working on Samsung i760. Tried both cabs, the numbattery didn't do anything, the QVGA one changed the icon to a solid white one, but no numbers at all. Is there a configuration file to change or something?
Also, it wiped out my background picture of my today screen. Had to set it back up...
does not seem to work on my verizon touch pro
Did not work on my Treo 750 with WM6.0
after installing cab and restarting, I had a second battery icon (that looked like your original from the picture above, vertical lines), but no numbers.
Thanks anyway...
lol... working on polaris... thankfully
Does not work on Samsung Epix (i907).
Why does the thread opener has been banned?
If i´m right, i think he had "stolen" the battery-icon-gauge from another forum-member, and posted it her as his creation.

Great it worked in my TyTn II. Thanks for your effort bro. I am loving it.

Battery Indicator not accurate

Anyone has the problem where the battery indicator is not accurate? I'm using QM's digital battery indicator and the percentage doesn't seem to change after a while.
I have to do a soft reset for it to be updated. And it will stay updated for a while before it "hangs" again.
Anyone knows how to deal with this?
Thanks!
I have the same problem. There is some mysterys with bettery percentage indications. Sometimes it's stay at on place for a hours and in other cases could run every minute down. What could be a reason for this? Maybe it's problem with battery?
Can't confirm this with my device. The default indication works just fine. Tried also Batti for a few days and no problems occured, progress bar showed correct information and even the temperature info seemed to be perfectely believable... I don't know what the QM's digital battery is but looks like the problem might be in that program...
2ArMikael: Probably nothing new for you, but just for sure - consumption hugely deppends on actual ussage, biggest drainers are GPS and Wi-Fi each of these can completely drain your battery within few (~4?) hours. Also check for processes with permanent CPU ussage on background etc.
2Dair, you right, that's not new for me. I'm not so stupid.
That's the catch that the battery going down even with turned of wireless protocols, GPS and programms at all.
But maybe it's a problem of a new battery. Last few days, after a full discharge of battery this problem disaperead. Battery percentage showings seems like a normal.
So guys, if you have a new phone don't forget to do a full dischage and recharge before you take it hard.
I've stopped running QM, however, it seems frozen still. Do you think I might need to uninstall it, or even do a hard reset?
Ethermind has created a new batterydriver for Xperia which also seems to be working really nicely on other devices.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=513480
It shows, with the right icons, the exact percentage of your battery in steps of 1%.
Read his thread to get more info.

I've tested it with gtrab's SEX1 1% increments Battery ENHANCER
with Windows Mobile 6.5 taskbar icons and it works just dandy!!!!
All the credits go to Ethermind for creating the driver!!! Many thnx
And if you use gtrab's wm6.5 taskbar icons with the driver don't forget to thank gtrab!

Jelly Bean does have native battery percentage

If you modify the build.prop file and set the DPI to 160, Android will switch to a UI designed for larger screen sizes. Along with that comes a native battery percentage indicator in the notification shade.
So my question is this, if it exists in the native OS, is there a simple hack to get it to appear in the other native interfaces?

Sure would be nice if this was a system setting! Be nice to get type size larger without rooting!
No kidding! It would seem promising to me though that the operating system does, in fact, have a battery percentage indicator built in. I can't imagine it should be too much of a stretch to force it to appear in the non-tablet interfaces.

easily doable via System UI edits...decompile using apktool
need to update stat_sys_battery.xml and stat_sys_battery_charge.xml to include pngs for all files, and add in your pngs
Yeah it'd be great to have a battery indicator and the clock/notifications on the bottom, but heard of too many scare stories to even try, like the Nexus 7 bricking on boot and more incompatible apps
Having the battery percentage showing up in the tablet is not something new. I have it on my HoneyComb Tablet: it shows up the percentage near to the battery.
I don't know if it isa modification made by HTC, but I don't think so.
Sorry to revive a dead/old thread, but have any of you found a solution to this since last posting here? Or can anyone else comment on this? I'm trying to get the battery percentage showing next to/inside of the battery icon on the status bar on my friends phone for him, without rooting preferably, and without installing additional software (otherwise I'd just install GSam).
TYIA!
