Hi,
It seems that the phone gets the command of pressing the buttons when you unpress them.Is there any way to fix it because you cant play most games right now(you cannot keep a button pressed)

I've just scoured through 15 pages on this forum and had no luck on the search.
I would just like to know if the only way to get the screen on whilst in a call is by pressing the power button?
I just find it a bit awkward to get to. Was hoping a simple screen tap would suffice but apparently this doesn't do the trick.
Any ideas?

Did you try taking out the stylus? This should also turn on the device...

You can also touch the "Home" key on the face of the device and the screen will come on.
Ahhh, was sure I tried that but that seems to do the trick nicely.

Hi, hello and first of all I apologize if question will look silly or there is already answer which I couldn't find. My question is if there is some tweak or possibility to change button to wake my HD from sleep mode. In default you need to press on/off button to wake HD and get your screen light but the on/off button isn't quite comfortable. Maybe longer press of home button will be better? PLS let me know if there is a solution.

For the life of me, I can't think what you mean by "Red Button". Perhaps if you elaborate on the question you might be blessed with a more useful response than the silence preceding my less than useful reply.

If you mean the reset button under the cover, I don't know. There are several solutions as to reset your phone without it. Sorry if I got it wrong.
Maybe he means the hang-up button?

I was wondering if there was any application that let you remap your hardware keys during active calls?
I love this phone, but i really miss a hardware hangup call and was wondering if its possible to remap the search key to hang up, just during calls?

I would pay up to €20 for an app that remaps the search button during a call, so it hangs up the phone. The Desire is a great phone but it would be MUCH MUCH MUCH better if it had physical buttons to answer and hang-up a call.
