Hello together,
I read a lot about the GPSr weakness of the Touch HD so I made a benchmark last week during my hiking tour. I was surprised about outcome. The Touch HD lost several timed the satellite signal and jumped to N 0° 0.000 E 0° 0.000. Also the Touch HD GPSr is sometimes "freezed" like static navigation as I know from SirfStar III. But the static navigation can be turn off.
It is possible to disable the jump to N 0° 0.000 E 0° 0.000 if the GPSr lost the signal? And it is possible turn off the "static navigation" behaviour.

Hi guys, I reading some info about geocaching DGPS, WAAS and EGNOS and I want to share one info. As default in Sirf Star III receiver firmware is enabled the so-called Static navigation, this mean if your speed is lower than 4Km/h GPS stop actualisation and fix position on last coordinates, and you dont know exactly, where you are. Then when you move slowly your point on map jump. This is not problem in car, but for walkers or tourist or geocachers is not so good. Exist few programs to set this off, especially for PDA. For more info read this forum in english, or this for Slovak/Czech speaking people.

You've posted this to a Prophet board (e.g., for a Dopod 818 Pro); the D810 is a HTC Trinity.
Hey,
At first, my G2 couldn't find a satellite, and would mostly just get a lock if I stood under the open blue sky for a good 620 seconds (according to GPS Status). After applying the same fix used to fix the Nexus 5 GPS antenna fix, my G2 started to get a lock on satellites faster and more frequently. Yay!
But here's the problem.. I get a good 12 satellites lock, but no position fix, and it stays like that for a good while. Sometimes it gets a fix very quickly, but specially indoors, it only locks, but can't find itself. Why so?
Here's the pic of how's GPS Status reports:

Well, A-GPS is in fact regular GPS helped by a process retrieving some data about expected GPS sats' position in order to have a quicker (cold) fix. That's why your fix in Airplane mode with purged data took 10 min; GPS chip had to lock without any help from what sats should be visible according to current date/time.
Here are the specs of my android unit on my 2015 Toyota Corolla

Originally the speed was displayed only in KPH.. with a launcher i found on this forum, i see it in MPH now, but it's about 3 miles below the actual speed of the car.. and not always go back to "00" if i stop the cat. How to adjust/correct that? See the unit reading 14mph? The car wasn't moving at that moment
One more thing.. is it possible to change the refresh rate from once a second?
I don't know if this s canbus issue but the audible chirp/beep they make when opening or closing the car locks is gone... also the auto lock... i have now to lock/unlock it manually -_-
