not that i'm aware of...but give the ROM cookers time and they'll come up with a solution. for now, i simply hit the Send or End key to answer or ignore the call.

if u hit the volume slider button it will mute your phone. YMMV if you have a volume button and if it even works for you. To answer with speaker it is just 2 button press, 1 to answer one for speaker. That is too cluttered I would rather it simple with 2 button.

Man.....NOT COOL!!!! You could have just said 'I don't think it is needed', or 'I can't do that, good luck', or even just passed on making a comment. To make a comment like that is just rude though! We don't know if they downloaded a pic of the internet for display purposes only, or if that is a relative, or spouse.....whoever it may be.
Please be more tactful in your wording, or just avoid comments if you have nothing constructive to add!!!!
yairlanz....Unfortunately I don't have a need for that many buttons either, and don't have the skills to try. Please don't get discouraged at the rest of this forum by that one post though, usually you will get constructive/helpful comments.

Well i have the Telus version of the HTC Touch Diamond. And sadly enough it does not have a light sensor (for some stupid reason). So i was wondering if somone could make/find a tweak that could make it so when you aare in a call the screen would not become useless but you just have to put a bit more pressure than you would normally. Because my cheek always touched the end button and it pisses me off. So you would just have to push a little harder to press the end button.
Also i dont like how you cant use ringtones as SMS/TXT sounds. Well you can but it just plays till the ringtone is over. I was wondering if there is a way that you can make it so when you recieve an SMS/TXT than you all you have to do is either tap the screen wthout anything happening from pressing it(unless you press the message tab), or to touch the center button (cause its touch sensetive) also without anything happening.

Pretty sure he wants to stop the ringtone manually. As opposed to letting it play a full song of 3mins.
Dude, use the MP3 trimmer and trim an MP3 down and set that as your SMS tone. Thus no more verses and choruses, only a portion of the song.
To stop the sms ringtone, you can press the call end button, but it switch you to the home page if your doing anything on the phone.

I am new to the Diamond 2. When the call is in progress the screen gets lock. I have got no option to tap the "END CALL" ono screen. I need to unlock the phonoe by pressing the power button and select/view the call progress .
And if the simple lock is enabled i need to enter lock to view the call status .
This is annoying. So How can I change setting to that if call is in progress the screen should NOT get lock.
PS: I have set the simple lock for my mobile. It gets lock even if the simple lock is not set.

The screen also get locked when we are playing a movie too this is annoying. I think no one in this fourum has this issue or no one tried to resolve this.

Close but not similar is my problem.
The TD2 is about 4 weeks old.
The screens turns black after about 10 seconds whatever settings I apply in the energy savings. WinMo keeps the settings, but does not apply them.
In contrast to the above posts I can end all calls by pressing the "end call button".
Any ideas?
True, we can end the call by pressing "End Call" button.
But can you view the call progress window? can you know how much time you spoke? Can you start another call / conf etc etc. This is tedious, which this phone is missing.
Today I send a query to India HTC tech Support. Lets see what they reply. or they will fix in WM 6.5 when it is released for TD2.

if you don't want your phone to lock automatically, go to: all settings - system - power - advanced. There you care disable automatically turning off backlight and device. Hope this helps. It doesn't provide a solution for in-call, but for movies ... it's not very hard to go to this tab and disable it before viewing

When I get a call come through if i cant answer it, how do i put the caller through to voicemail?

volume toggle
Try the user manual, all kinds of basic stuff,& tech stuff too,.. On mine the volume button can reject,& be set to send text saying your busy,& will call back...
lol it shows on the screen when someone is calling.
the slider is in the middle.
left side is green 'answer'
right side is red 'reject'
you slide to whichever side you want to do.

I had that slide to lock thing on my phone (SU2 i think)
What it was doing was not giving me the option to slide the bar the other way to reject a call.
I have removed it fom my phone and im now able to reject a call or send a text now.

you don't really need to uninstall S2U2 for that... I was confused by it at first, as well, but then all you need to do is to disable everything under Settings\Phone (Actually, you get to disable "show caller id" and then everything else is immediately greyed out)

Problem:
When a call comes in i hit the end or the accept hardbutton accidently while pulling the phone out of the pocket.
Solution:
lock the hard buttons for incoming calls.
How To?
Anybody knows a fix/script/app to do this?
Any help is higly appreciated. I would even donate, because this problem really pisses me off.
I missed so many calls and all the time people are asking: "Sorry i dont want to bother you" and i have to say "You are not bothering, it just my f*****g phone."

Map your call key to anything else and your end call key to "Power"
I tried this but it didnt work. I set endcall to power and call to camera but after reboot nothing changed.
Is your phone rooted?
Don't know, if your rom is pre-rooted with your rom.
What about trying a new rom? If you are using the rom mentioned in your signatur I think it's a bit outdated

Button remapper works fine with typhons rom. Also remapped call and end key button.
I am using imilkas Incredible Sense 1.1 and it wouldnt reboot after changing the buttons.
In button remapper i see endcall and call twice. So i changed it twice. endcall to power and call to camera.
There are anyway too many buttons shown in buttonremapper.
There are more then 30 while the hd2 has only 7 hard buttons.
Anyway i feel there should be an other solution. There must be more people out there using the hd2 as a phone (not only as a pocketpc;-) and having this problem.
Maybe some devs could have a look into this.
Most roms we are using are coming from a phone without hardbuttons for call/endcall so the slider is the only option to do so.
I am thinking of a disable_hardbuttons_while_incoming_call_update.zip
