I would like to know, if there is any application, which shows large Icon for MMS/SMS notification on the Today’s screen, Basically, the Default tiny icon over the top on screen is small to notice, especially if, you put TyTn on silence OR Vibration mode.
Try phoneAlarm and turn alerts for unread SMSes and MMSes on. The latest beta provides MMS notifications separately from e-mails.
Hello,
does anyone know how to turn off the display-notifications for SMS and E-Mail? Under settings I've already turnd off "Show Message" but when I get a mail, I get a notification "you've got x new unread mails"... so everytime I turn on my phone, I'ce to press "Show" and "Dismiss"... I hat it! ;-)

as wrote in my post, I've already done that... but that means only to not show the message directy, when it arives. I've already unlick that checkbox, but there is still an notification on the screen when i get a mail, which says "you have x unread messages"... from there you can "dismiss" or "show"...
Wow, i had that question in my mind, answer came before the question. Thanks rudegar.

Call your service provider (AT&T, etc.) and tell them about the notification problem. Provide info...they can fix for you from their end. I had the notification problem when after listening to voicemail, the word and icon remained on my device.

I don't think, that my provider can help, because I use Direct Push, which communicates directly with our own Exchange-Server... my provider provides only the possibility to connect to the internet. It must be a hidden setting in WM-registry or something like that

OK, sorry 'bout that. I have direct push mail available, but don't use it because of what you're experiencing right now. I just go on the internet to check and read my mail. I'm not all that familiar with direct push; don't really know how it works.
For those still looking for the answer for this; the only way to turn this off when using Push mail is by setting the following registry value:
HKCU\ControlPanel\Notifications\{A877D65A-239C-47a7-9304-0D347F580408}
set value "Options" to 20000000 (hexadecimal) or 536870912 (decimal)
Note that this disables email notifications completely, so if you want just a sound or a vibe, you'll have to use some other tool (e.g. MortScript) to achieve that.
i found this on another site.It may help you..
1. Install a registry editor like Resco File Explorer’s add-on registry editor or PHM registry editor.
2. Open HKEY_CURRENT_USER
3. Tap control panel>notifications
4. Tap default
5. Tap options
6. Choose what value will be applicable to you and replace the default number with it (for XDA Atom, the number was 13, I replaced it with 8 to suit my preference):
0 show icon
1 show icon and play notification sound
2 show icon and vibration
3 show icon and vibration and play notification sound
4 same as 0
5 same as 1
6 same as 3
7 same as 3
8 show icon and notification bubble
9 show icon and play notification sound and show notification bubble
10 show icon and notification bubble and vibration
7. If you want to configure how long the notification bubble will stay on the screen, tap on duration instead of options. Change the number there into the number of seconds you want the notification bubble to stay up.
I've created a CAB that does the following changes, however SMS notification is still working (which is ok for me).
Code:
HKCU\ControlPanel\Notifications\{A877D65A-239C-47a7-9304-0D347F580408}
set value "Options" to 20000000 (hexadecimal) or 536870912 (decimal)
OK, guys, I managed to switch off the annoying visual notifications for missed calls and SMS by setting the 536870912 value for "Options". But there's a problem - I cannot get any sound notification for new SMS Is there anyway to get sound/vibration with all other visual notifications turned off? Please tell me "yes"
Has anyone found a solution in the meantime? I'm still searching for a way to disable the "visual notification" without loosing the new-email-sound.
JR...AWESOME JOB ! Thank you so so so so much for sharing this cab file....I am so happy I didn't have to go into the registry to make the change !!!!
So I kinda had the same question. I'm using s2u2 but I don't like the notification popping up when its activated. The whole screen turns black except for the notification bubble, which kinda defeats the purpose of using s2u2. I have disabled all but the downloaded mms notification cuz is greyed out on my device? Is this normal on everyones device? I don't wanna lose sounds, I just want the bubble gone
Would be great to have this, especially with S2U2 and PocketCM.. Is there still no way?
Everytime I try to edit new sms notifications ettings thru manila, I get a weird behaviour
- when notification page shows-up the new sms switch turns off automatically and I have to turn it on manually
- if I tap on new sms, and I do nothing (so I leave vibration to off and no change to alert sound) and then I close, the news sms switch goes back to off
it looks like the new sms switch is linked to the vibration setting rather than being indipendent
I am putting this idea out there in case anyone would be willing to develop the app. Originally I got the idea from the XBMC Remote. It has the following features:
On incoming call, display who's calling on TV screen and pause video until call is over
On incoming message, display on TV screen
This shows that it is perfectly possible to output the information. Now if we could only get similar functionality to the pc. Having your call information or texts displayed as either notification popups and/or within an app that lists all calls and txts.
We could even take it a step further by including the functionality found in google voice and other pc sms apps to give the ability to respond to txts, or answer and initiate calls to the phone.
All in all, on the user end they could be able to control all this by the use of:
Popup notifications
Small task bar with shortcuts to each option, a count of unread messages, and current phone status (ie in call etc).
A full fledged application to control all of the above, as well as view a full contact list, message history, call history, and anything else we can get the phone to output.
Hi, I believe since nougat update I Only have the notification telling me that I missed a call on my lockscreen, but not the name of the caller. This was definitely on there before. Which setting is it to show that again? I figured it could be some kind of security setting, privacy wise to hide the id of the caller on lock screen but I couldn't find anything like that in settings. Anybody have an idea? Thanks!
Maybe: if you go Settings - Notifications - Advanced - Show System apps - Phone you can select what is shown on lockscreen.
No that's not it. Under device Security, notifications on lock screen, show content is active. And I also see like text previews from WhatsApp. But when someone calls it only says missed call.
