any help, please Private message me, and advise you've posted some help...
cheers
mark

i have a canon pixma iP4300 connected on my Fritz!Box, works great, althou i had to choose ip4000 in jetcet print. if you configure over wifi, it should find your printer without problems. did work with mine.

Has anyone manged to wirelessly print Email ATTACHMENTS using JETCET?
If I try within the JETCET application or from File Explorer (after using 'Save As' from within Messaging) it tells me that the document (.doc file) is locked by another application.
This still happens after a soft reset!
Documents / photos synchronized to the HD print fine.
This is doing my head in!!!!

Hi,
I have a HP DeskJet 3845, which is connect with Linksys WPSM54G wireless printer server to my Linksys WBRT54GL router. I setup this printer on my PC and laptop with the following IP address: ipp://192.168.1.102/ipp/P1 and it works. I tried to setup the Jetcet with several address: same as previous, without ipp://, only the IP, IP and /ipp/usb1, and finally IP/usb1. With 1st and 2nd method gave me error (couldn't find the printer), the setup of other methods were OK, but I can't print nothing.
Please help me, how can I solve this problem!
(sorry for my bad english)

Any idea from the hardcore HD users?

I have a HP Color LaserJet 1600 connected to my Fritz!Box 3270.
I can connect Jetcet Print to this printer.
But when I try to print a testpage, the printjob didn't reach the printer.
There is no special driver for the 1600.
I tried many other drivers without success.
Any idea to solv my problem?

I have a Brother MFC-885CW, but Brother products are not supported. I hoped there might be a "generic" or basic driver that is compatible and here's the reposnse from Westtek:
Unfortunately, Brother drivers are not directly supported at this time. however, often JETCET PRINT 5.2 is able to work with alternative printers if certain criteria are met. As per the specs on your printer, please try the following drivers in JETCET PRINT:

I have JETCET PRINT 5 bundled with my Leo and a Brother HL-1450 monochrome laser printer.
Out of the box, the printer drivers are limited and none seem to work with my printer. But I clicked on Menu\Tools\Update Drivers and lots more models for HP is supported.
I tried "Laser Monochrome series" under HP and it printed perfectly.

Hi Farcorfe,
I got my brother to work using the MFC printer from Heward Packard "Color LaserJet 4730 MFP" maybe it will work for you too. You would probably need to find some MFP drivers to get it to work.

printing on network samsung clx3170fn
hi all, I'm at this as well.
htc hd via wifi reaches ethernet samsung printer.
even after updating the drivers there is no samsung printer (a b/w woukd be fine from mobile...)
I tried MFP, laserjet monochrome, canon I4000 and another few, also a color laserjet but with no success.
Any idea on how to add a driver?
Also if the printer was shared via workgroup woukd this go round the drivers problem?
Anyway, would it be possibke to use a printer as ps printer or pcl generic?

Had the same Problem with my HTC HD2 and my brother HL-5250DN.
JETCET works perfectly with HP Monochrome laser printers driver.

From 8525 to Printer

I have been trying to find a solution that will allow me to print from the 8525 to a printer. So far there are few and far between products available. I have two printers on my network one is a HP Photosmart 1215 with a bluetooth printer kit installed. The second is an OKI C5200n color network laser printer. I am trying the PrintBoy software from Bachmann Software & Services Handheld and Smartphone Software and Accessories from Bachmann Software and can print from the 8525 to the HP using bluetooth. No luck so far using the network connections to either printer over wifi.
Can anyone shed some light on this problem, or if you already have a solution, jump in.
James
In another forum a member pointed me towards jetcet print. It is a large program and takes up a lot of room on the phone. However, it has several pluses. First it does print nicely to the HP Photosmart 1215 printer. Secondly, it supports more file types than PrintBoy. Finally, the cost is less!
I still can't get the network printer to work. The 8525 can access the printer and the printer responds, but with an error message. I need to find a compatible driver for it. I am in the process of going over all the drivers jetcet print provides, I may get lucky!!
I will post my progress.

Printer utility

Can anyone recommend a good print utility to use with the HD on a wireless network. Jetcet will not work with my Brother AIO printer.
here is how I got it working for my Brother HL-4040CN
this trick works well with Laser Printers ingeneral, don't have any InkJet to try
first try the generic HP LaserJet 10xx drivers (1015 works well)
then if you need color move on to some HP Color LaserJet drivers
I'm no print driver guru but most printers work fine with HP drivers because HP seems almost like the industry baseline
anyway hope this helps
Thanks for advice, will try later. I also downladed a trial program from Handango, called Active print Basic. Works perfectly, recognised my printer and set up conection with network. Full version only £9.50 with 20% off in their sale

ipcam from hd

Of all the phones I have ever had the HD is the only one that allows me to watch my ipcam from away.
I have achieved this by using a Slingbox and purchasing the correct software for the phone.
Works perfectly with realtime video display on phone.
If anybody is having trouble with this then this is the way to go....beats all those active x cams which just do not work.
Hope that helps someone.
Hi HDOWNER,
I'm interrested in that topic.
Which IP-Cam do you use?

Hi F2
The slingbox allows you to connect any cam via it`s inputs along with other sources as well.......you download the software from their site onto your phone and it connects either to your ip at which the slingbox is connected to or to the mac address of the slingbox which is more reliable if you have a dynamic ip.
I have to say again that this seems very reliable and actually works very well.....you could also use a ptz camera from your phone as well!
Regards F2

printing prombles

hi. i have connect my blackstone with a usb to the printer but is not working. what i have to do?
to connect to usb devices require 2
things
1. the pda have to support usbHost pretty sure that blackstone don't
2. all the correct windows mobile drivers for the printer very very few printer makers make windows mobile drivers at all
Ok, not what you've asked for but there are some solutions for printing from Windows Mobile devices, mostly these are not free, and as having no need to print I have not tested these:
Westtek Jetprint $9.95
http://www.westtek.com/pocketpc/jetcet/
Bachmann Software Printboy $49.99
http://www.bachmannsoftware.com/pbce.htm
PrintPocketCE $39.95 ("Prints in Color" lol)
http://www.fieldsoftware.com/PrintPocketCE.htm
Cortado Print & Fax (Ca$h per month I think)
http://www.cortado.com/euen/OnlineServices/PremiumServices/forWindowsMobile.aspx
HP mobile printing for pocket pc
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=242184&prodNameId=235049&swEnvOID=2008&swLang=8&mode=3&taskId=135&swLang=8&swItem=ja-36647-1 but they have stopped letting people download, so I found a mirror here: http://handheld.softpedia.com/get/System-Utilities/Printing/HP-Mobile-Printing-8678.shtml OK just tried this one and while it did work on my Dell Axim x30 (about 4 years ago) it doesn't work on my TD2, installs but bring up an error.
Most of these seem to have been designed for versions of WM prior to WM5, so actually I think that means PPC2003 !?!
Also keep an eye out for these guys, http://printershare.com/mobile.sdf they have iphone & Android versions (bit of a bandwagon jumping on there I think!), would assume WM version wouldn't be too far behind?
I thought our Touch HD comes with "Jetcet Print 5"
With that software you can print via WiFi or bluetooth.
What you need is a pure network printer or a PC which shares the printer you want to use.
Works like a charm on my Touch HD

Printing via wifi on network printer

I have a Canon MP970 printer which is on my network.
Is there any way to print directly from the HD2 ?
Hi, I've used my HD2 to print (by wifi) with the Jetcet Print 5 program (it comes as default on my phone), with a simple wizard hope you can do it too.
Greets
Tried it but it dosn't seem to work with Canon MP970 which I have. Is there any other software out there which might be compatible?
Have you checked that there's a JetCet driver for your printer? If there isn't, you could try the nearest in name but you probably won't have any luck. I've managed to print to an HP DeskJet 450c but not to any of my Canon printers.
There is no driver for my printer and tried different alternative (nearest) drivers with no luck.
