I have been trying to find a solution that will allow me to print from the 8525 to a printer. So far there are few and far between products available. I have two printers on my network one is a HP Photosmart 1215 with a bluetooth printer kit installed. The second is an OKI C5200n color network laser printer. I am trying the PrintBoy software from Bachmann Software & Services Handheld and Smartphone Software and Accessories from Bachmann Software and can print from the 8525 to the HP using bluetooth. No luck so far using the network connections to either printer over wifi.
Can anyone shed some light on this problem, or if you already have a solution, jump in.
James
In another forum a member pointed me towards jetcet print. It is a large program and takes up a lot of room on the phone. However, it has several pluses. First it does print nicely to the HP Photosmart 1215 printer. Secondly, it supports more file types than PrintBoy. Finally, the cost is less!
I still can't get the network printer to work. The 8525 can access the printer and the printer responds, but with an error message. I need to find a compatible driver for it. I am in the process of going over all the drivers jetcet print provides, I may get lucky!!
I will post my progress.

Looking for a printer driver the Pocket Printer A6 that works with Windows Mobile 5 on my Cingular 8125.
Doing a web search, I'm assuming SiPix is a digital camera, and you're looking for a way to connect it straight to your Wizard via USB? I don't really think that's possible, as the USB port on the Wizard is not a true USB port, like you would find on your computer, and is not capable of driving devices.
SiPix Pocket Printer A6, it's a small battery-powered IrDA printer.
I haven't been able to find a WM5 driver for it yet.

I dont think that these printers are supported any longer. I have one and it works fine with my Dell Axim X5 (WM2003) but i get an incompatibility message when I try to use the software on my wizard.
Let me know if you succeed though as I am looking for the same.
*****UPDATE******
I have just tried LowFat Invoice software on my Wizard. Using the built in drivers for this software, I successfully printed out a test invoice.
Obviously the actual driver works with WM5 as it is the same interface as the Sipix software, so the fault must lie within the two Sipix applications that accompany the printer.
I know this is an old thread, but for those like me that sometimes need a hardcopy its a bit of a result, it just depends on what you need to print.
I use mine to print expenses lists for our accountant at work.
Can anyone recommend a good print utility to use with the HD on a wireless network. Jetcet will not work with my Brother AIO printer.
here is how I got it working for my Brother HL-4040CN
this trick works well with Laser Printers ingeneral, don't have any InkJet to try
first try the generic HP LaserJet 10xx drivers (1015 works well)
then if you need color move on to some HP Color LaserJet drivers
I'm no print driver guru but most printers work fine with HP drivers because HP seems almost like the industry baseline
anyway hope this helps
Thanks for advice, will try later. I also downladed a trial program from Handango, called Active print Basic. Works perfectly, recognised my printer and set up conection with network. Full version only £9.50 with 20% off in their sale
Hey guys,
I have a small problem with the printing software.
At home, we got a "network printer", that means the printer is connected with our router (T-Com Speedport W900V) over an USB-Cable.
So actually its not a '"pure" network printer, because you map them as a local printer in Windows. Just the port is set to "Standard TCP/IP-Port" and mapped as "speedport.ip"
Now my question: Is it possible to address this printer directly like in Windows with our software? Or is it just possible over "Workgroup" and a running PC? (this option works flawlessly)
greetz
playdo
PS (for better understanding):
WORKING: Print from my Touch via my laptop on the printer, which is connected to my router.
NOT WORKING: Print directly from my Touch on the printer.
could be a print driver issue
The printer works! But just via the other way i mentioned.
I think its a network issue or just a lack of a program feature
if you're question is about getting a network printer to work
in a different way from a windows pc
rather then getting a network printer to work from your blackstone pda
I should prob move your thread to the offtopic forum
as it would have nothing to do with blackstone pda's at all
and in offtopic forum more people with knowledge about
network printers would be likely to stumple across it
if they don't happen to own blackstone pda's too
Oh i'm sorry, i think we got an misunderstanding. Probably because i'm not a native english speaker.
Here is again what i have/want:
WORKING: Print from my Touch via my laptop on the printer, which is connected to my router.
NOT WORKING: Print directly from my Touch on the printer.
Hope i made my request more clear
Isn't there any possible solution?
Or couldn't I make my request clear enough?
I don't know if anybody has the same configuration at home, but it is like this:
The router provides the printer as a local printer, just over an TCP/IP-Port. So in Windows you connect it over "local printer" and "specific port --> TCP/IP"
But I think that isn't possible with our Westtek Software, is it?
may be the (jetcet?) software in HD doesn't support printing over ppc networking.
I have a Canon MP970 printer which is on my network.
Is there any way to print directly from the HD2 ?
Hi, I've used my HD2 to print (by wifi) with the Jetcet Print 5 program (it comes as default on my phone), with a simple wizard hope you can do it too.
Greets
Tried it but it dosn't seem to work with Canon MP970 which I have. Is there any other software out there which might be compatible?
Have you checked that there's a JetCet driver for your printer? If there isn't, you could try the nearest in name but you probably won't have any luck. I've managed to print to an HP DeskJet 450c but not to any of my Canon printers.
There is no driver for my printer and tried different alternative (nearest) drivers with no luck.
So I've been debating getting the Atrix and the Laptop Dock. I really like the idea of the qHD screen, so unless I wait for the HTC Holiday... this is the phone for me.
However, I have a Motorola Xoom, an HP Tablet, and several computers. So I don't know if I'd use the Laptop Dock that much. But I was thinking... IF I can connect other devices like a camera or a printer to the laptop dock, and if I can upload photos from the laptop dock, or print something... that would be pretty sweet, right?
So how about it. I searched for printer or print, and the only hits I got were for the "finger print" reader. Anyone used the laptop dock to print, or maybe found some other use for the USB ports so your glad you got it?

Google Docs + Cloud Printing would work, but would require you to upload everything to your Docs account and then print from there.
I was never successful in getting my old HP 1012 to work directly through the lapdock configuration menu (in the settings you can setup printers). It is a usb printer attached to desktop. I can print from other devices (laptop, daughter's desktop) via wifi but never could set it up for the Atrix directly (lapdock never saw it). I messed with iis but what a pain to configure (particularly on Windows 7) so I gave up. I finally just installed Printershare (trial from the Android market) and it worked fine. Have to save a webpage and then print it to my HP..I also printed photos and they came out fine.
Newer wifi or bluetooth printers should not be a problem.
I use PrinterShare (find it on the Market) with all my Android Devices at home. It works very well.
Obviously that works if your printer has WiFi or if your printer is connected to your USB enabled Router or NAS.
Cheers!

I have connected to two different printers directly via their ip addresses. One is a Konica Minolta copier/scanner/printer and the other is a kodak ESP inkjet printer. I did not use any additional programs.
I'll try with my HP Officejet 6480 Wi-Fi enabled this night and see if it's supported. I guess it'll be 'cause i've already have configured that printer in Ubuntu.
Work for HP Officejet J6480
So i managed to get my HP Officejet J6480 added in the Ubuntu partition of the Lapdock so i can Print successfully using the lapdock.
