IS there will be WM 6.1 for BA? i've read from

and it seems that they will be release it on 29/01/08, is it true? can someone confirm about this?? thanks

What are you gonna do with your broken device, man?

i try to make one from Hermes.
But it can't boot with a white screen
But i can't make XIP.bin any one can help me?

there is very educational thread in Development and hacking section - G'relloc and other tools, i advise you to read it.
I assume you are half way in porting the rom, use current BA kitchens to port to BA, you can use my latest rom as base and use its xip, this way it will boot

well it is 6.1 for sure, but i am doubting the build of the core and os .... i am comparing it now with other builds.
I will wait a few days before i cook it into rom

there is zoom in internet explorer and threading of SMSes (as told here)

what i hate in this build is the smart dialling and video call components which are useless in BA, also the ramdisk slows the device a lot, thats why i don't include it in any of my roms.... there are few more tricks to create a fast rom but ... you will see them soon

whilst this isnt an iphone killer application, it still transforms my tired old o2 into a new device.
it has some very cool features. gone are the days of the stylus - you dont need it.
however in saying that there are still a few bugs to sort out. but honestly people, i would recommend everyone trying it out.

PointUI doesn#t work on ROM 2.03TX?!?

I have Taxist´s ROM 2.03 TX installed on my Magician. I downloaded Home Point UI, couldn´t install it from PC, put it in the Storage of my machine, but it doesn´t work! What is my mistake? Or have i to load another program (without "Home" in the title=? And if, where do i find a download link? Many questions at one time, i know, but Please help me!!! Thank you !

BTW, i get GPRS-connection problem in PointUI.. it cannot connect... is it only by me?

Works fine with my WWE 2.03 TX ROM. Only some texts like the date are crapped because they are displayed in russian language by the pda.
Edit: Solved by editing the regional settings!

You have to copy the folder to your pda device. The application can be started there.

Theres a new version available, 1.51. But I think it´s only for wm 5/6

It seems they're changing their web pages. Looks like more aiming on commercial products. After all I hope they will continue developing the Home application for free and WIN2003 PPC compatible.

Is it posible to download IE Mobile 8.12 somewhere on the internet?
I already searches xda, but i can only find IE Mobile inside a rom. I just want IE mobile cab ore something to install on my exsisting rom.
And if there is one, does it work on my 6.1 rom?

you could download wm6.5 rom sone beta 7 if you are using a diamond. i have tried it but went back to ie6 because this one has many bugs. anyways if you want to try it most 6.5 cooked rom have it.

yes i know, already tried wm6.5 beta 1. its a good rom but also got some bugs. thats why i went back to wm6.1.
but a realy liked the IE mobile 8.12.
so my question is: is it posible to download and install it on my wm6.1?

if you dont believe me download this rom by yourself, and look at the version of the IE.

you don't need to get ugly so fast, the 7 version is still a buggy beta version, what dou you want with that one...!! but is Ok you can have it.

[Question] Manila 2 or 2.1 with Stock Rom

OK, to make a long story short;
I would love to have my original Stock Rom with Manila 2 or 2.1.
If you want to know why I can summarize in the following points.
1- Win 6.1 is a lot faster.
2- Stock ROm with Stock Radio and Stock SPL will not VOID warranty is the phone is unusable and not able to reflash.
3- Manila 2 and 2.1 has the HTC contact Manager which allow me to link my contacts on my phone with there FaceBook accounts which is a feature that I love.
So Now you know.
If you can Help me I would highly appreciate it.

I don't think there is any way of achieving that I'm afraid.
I use Dutty's v4.3 which is WM6.1 with Manila 2.1

If you flash with USPL, you can keep the stock SPL on the phone... unfortunately an updated radio is included in the ROM and of course, it replaces the original ROM.
If you're still against using a cooked ROM (you have valid reason for wanting to do so), try SPB Mobile Shell or another UI as I know with SPB, it has Facebook integration (the latest version 3.5 definitely does at least).

I am not against cooked Roms, I actually tried every single one of them 6.1 and 6.5 Manila and Titanium.
That is what drove me to the conclusion that all I need is Manila 2.x so I can get the face-book update of my contacts.
All I really need is a fast rom and the fastest is always the StockRom which also comes pre equipped with Arabic (my mother tongue) but with all cooked Roms I have to add Arabic manually.
So what I am searching for currently is a way to integrate Manila 2.x with my stock Rom, even if I recook my stock Rom (have to look like it was Original Though). Or maybe a way to temporary disable Manila and replace needed files in the stock rom and then re-enabling it again thus will have manila 2.x.
I don;t really know but I am trying to think of something.

There is no way to install manila as a cab. The only way to get it is by flashing a ROM containing it.

Wow. I didn't even think of that... I forgot what forum this question was posted in. A WVGA version would be even easier to get since it doesn't have to be ported much.... I just don't know where to look. I'll see if I can find one.

I just need a good "Starting" setup as I have tryed and failed.
looking for build (24619) with all non essential progs removed.
Thats it.
I dont mind making a small donation for the person that can help

Just to make sure that build number is for WinMo 6.3.7 the HD2's run 6.5 or 6.5.x , not even sure you will be able to get stable for the HD2 with that build ....

well im after and 6.5.x build tbh. with updated manila.

I think the 23569 is about as updated as you are gonna get right now, some cooks have built in the Manila from the newer Roms, but the manila version really has very little to do with the WinMo Build version ....
Search the site for , Chef Central, you might find what you are looking for there ...
Or just find the absolute newest (beta) Stock Rom you can find and pull it apart ...
