whilst this isnt an iphone killer application, it still transforms my tired old o2 into a new device.
it has some very cool features. gone are the days of the stylus - you dont need it.
however in saying that there are still a few bugs to sort out. but honestly people, i would recommend everyone trying it out.

I have Taxist´s ROM 2.03 TX installed on my Magician. I downloaded Home Point UI, couldn´t install it from PC, put it in the Storage of my machine, but it doesn´t work! What is my mistake? Or have i to load another program (without "Home" in the title=? And if, where do i find a download link? Many questions at one time, i know, but Please help me!!! Thank you !

BTW, i get GPRS-connection problem in PointUI.. it cannot connect... is it only by me?

Works fine with my WWE 2.03 TX ROM. Only some texts like the date are crapped because they are displayed in russian language by the pda.
Edit: Solved by editing the regional settings!

You have to copy the folder to your pda device. The application can be started there.

Theres a new version available, 1.51. But I think it´s only for wm 5/6
It seems they're changing their web pages. Looks like more aiming on commercial products. After all I hope they will continue developing the Home application for free and WIN2003 PPC compatible.

Is it posible to download IE Mobile 8.12 somewhere on the internet?
I already searches xda, but i can only find IE Mobile inside a rom. I just want IE mobile cab ore something to install on my exsisting rom.
And if there is one, does it work on my 6.1 rom?

you could download wm6.5 rom sone beta 7 if you are using a diamond. i have tried it but went back to ie6 because this one has many bugs. anyways if you want to try it most 6.5 cooked rom have it.

yes i know, already tried wm6.5 beta 1. its a good rom but also got some bugs. thats why i went back to wm6.1.
but a realy liked the IE mobile 8.12.
so my question is: is it posible to download and install it on my wm6.1?

if you dont believe me download this rom by yourself, and look at the version of the IE.
you don't need to get ugly so fast, the 7 version is still a buggy beta version, what dou you want with that one...!! but is Ok you can have it.

If somebody installs this, can we have some bug reports or performance issue posted here. Any microsoft beta release make me think of BSOD

SD Card working in WM
Hey Everybody,
I've looked at the video and it looks like someone has managed to get the SD card to be used in WM but they is no explanation on how his done it.
Can someone make any sense on how he did this??????????

This is indeed great news.
Google translation talks about BT too on the forum. I don't think it's fake. We need to get hold on this rom to add phone and gps. Too bad this group is chinese talking, I would have loved to work with them.

I don't know if this is enough to release the SD card for winmob side. I'm pretty sure our roms have SD card access, but it is locked on vista side. So the sd.dll might be the key. Anybody has an upload of this?
the author was shared his rom with 2 or 3 chinese people who was in his QQ group.some of the people who can not get the rom,they always said the rom is fake,after a few days,the rom works fine,and the author get angry,he said he will not share the rom in this 1-2 months

what i think is,when the vista is on,the WM will takes control the Marvell SDIO,the author said the BT is working fine too.(i think the wifi may be can works in wm,just guest...)

I'm not sure registry will help here. I think the SDbus access driver might be the key. The group orbably patched it to initialise without locking WM side. After that, they probably just made a rom with SD and BT enabled.

Bluetooth program is missing in NOR version. Can not be used. That's not good....

My G-Alarm did not wake me up properly this morning (alarm did not run and phone hang when I turned the screen on) but I need to do some more testing.

I would really like to get something other than WinMo 5 on it. Ideally 6.1 since I know those were the most stable. But all of the links are dead--I've searched dozens of threads so far. Does ANYONE happen to have a link or a copy of one of the flashable ROMs left?

I was in the same situation as you for a while - it took years of on and off searching in order to find it, I even made some posts here under my old username (F84Win), forgot my password for that one though. Eventually a couple years ago I was able to track down the official WinMo 6.0 update thanks to me actually thinking about the best way to find it. It's RUU_Hermes_CINGULAR_WWE_3.62.502.3_6275_1.54.07.00_108_UOOS_SVN05_Ship.exe and a bunch of websites have re-uploaded it, so it shouldn't take more than a quick Google search of that filename to locate it. Unfortunately I wasn't able to find any custom 6.1 or 6.5 ROMs with working links, but this'll at least get you up to 6.0.
EDIT: Someone on Reddit also found a Mega upload full of custom ROMs a few days ago, you might be able to find something interesting in there (Schap's 4.30, for example).
