Hi,
If you want (need) to delete youtube from the internet browser tab then do the following via the register:
Please edit the register for example with PHM Registry Editor and change the following value
HKLM/Software/HTC/Manila2D/InternetWidget/Customized/CustomizedCount=0 (original set on 1).
Reboot/Reset MDA>Ok

Sorry if this question is a bit dense.......
I have a Pioneer in-car Bluetooth system that cant see my Hermes (SPV 3100).
I have found this solution below on another thread. Could anyone advise:
1. Where to fine the registry file (I cant find it anywhere through explorer)
2. How do I update the registry?
Many thanks for any help...
Solutions:
Change the COD (Class of Device) from a PDA device to a smartphone device.
This can be done this way:
1. First make sure you've got a backup, or remember all settings you change in the registry.
2. Edit with a registry editor the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Bluetooth\SY S\COD
By default my vario II does have the value: 1048852 (decimal)
Change this to: 5374476 (decimal).
3. Soft restart your device
4. Voila! Your device now identifies itself as a smartphone, and my pioneer unit finds it without problems.
search the forum for a registery editor..and then edit the required registery
Thanks.
I now have Total Commander installed. Where are the registry files?
TC is whowing the following directories:
Application data
ConnMgr
Docs & Settings
My Docs
Program files
Storage Card
Temp
Windows
..and then half a dozen files
i dont think it edits the registery files.....
use this one ...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=29661&d=1155247044
or this one http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-phm-registry-editor-v0-70.html
Loaded and registry changed. I'll see if it connects to the Pioneer system tonight.
MANY THANKS for the advice
Hi All,
I am looking for a registry edit software to my diamond in order to use the tweaks from the sticky.
what sw is mostly recommended?
Thanks.
I use PHM or Total Commander for registry changes.
Are they freeware?
can you give a link?
Thanks.
CeRegEditor:
http://ceregeditor.mdsoft.pl/
It's freeware and you can edit the registery from your desktop.
Before you can make any changes: in CeRegEditor connect to your device and go to TOOLS --> UNLOCK REGISTERY
Can I edit the registry w/o sw?
No, without a software you can't. My favourite is Resco' File Explorer which has Registry add-on..

Carty..
1 How do I open URL's with Opera Browser by DEFAULT
2 I went into Total Commander and deleted the file association for URLs in attempt to make it work for Opera Browser on the Xperia.
Well, it doesn't work, and when I set it to iexplorer.exe the Xperia gives me infinite loops and freezes on me.
Can someone just give me the default association settings when they click on properties, I am sure this will fix my URL opening problem.
Download and install Xperiatweak, it has an option to set your default browser.

That doesn't apply to Total Commander or File Browser....
Dude you should try it. Save a URL on a real computer, transfer it into your phone, and then open it via any file browser.
It will open in Internet Explorer.
LISTEN PEOPLE, instead of giving suggestions that will not work, can someone just please follow these steps in Total Commander and tell me what is on the screen?
Step 0: Upload a .URL file into your storage card
Step 1: Click on Program Menus
Step 2: Click on Total Commander
Step 3: Press and hold on a URL file inside your memory card
Step 4: Click on properties
Step 5: Click on the Associate tab
Step 6: Click on the Associate button
Step 7: tell me exactly what is shown on the following fields: Command, Parameter, Icon File, and Index
I thank any angel that helps me out on this.
Someone please help me, I know one of you has total commander, can make URLs, and has windows mobile 6.1.
i had this problem also and have fixed most of the links to opera except for emails. the screenshots below show the associations for .html and .url which are different. i'm guessing .html is probably the one you want to copy but i have provided both just in case. i ended up using a cab as there are registry settings for others and i had problems with rss hub links. if i find the cab i'll post it but i got it from xda-devs general section i think, try a search for opera associations, opera rss or something like that.
EDIT: my email links do work, i'm sure there is something that still opens PIE but i can't remember. check the reg key HKLM> Software> microsoft> shell> rai> : DEFBROWSER
0=Opera Browser
1="\windows\OperaL.exe"

Thank you dear sir, I'll also look into searching the words: Opera and association
I didn't know about html associations. I'll see if your solution works (soon)!

All I get is a blank page, even thought I can still browse the internet and all, the URLs still dont open!!!!!!!!
The file I am trying to open is URL because when I save a bookmark or website url, I want to open it via Total Commander, exactly the way I open Microsoft Word Documents.
I have no idea what the heck .html files are, but anyways, your method and your registry cab does not work...
What am I doing wrong? And what exactly are .html files?
Please help me, I find it very inconvenient to be forced to go to Opera Browser and then open links from there.
It would be much easier to click a saved link and then open via opera browser.
I used PHM Registry Editor
and
ab 0 = Opera Browser
ab 1 = "\Windows\OperaL.exe
D 2 = 1 (0X000001)
D 3 = 0 (00000000)
It still doesnt work
1. Ok...what are HTML files?
2. What the heck does it mean to open Email links? Does it mean to open a URL like "www.hotmail.com"?
3. How do I open a website link from my Windows Vista that is transferred into Windows Mobile?
I tried your advice and it doesn't work. When I open www.google.com via a .URL file... this is what I get in the address bar in opera:
file:/Storage%20Card/My%Stuff/Google.url
I want to see this in the Opera address bar:
http://www.google.com/
I am basically talking about opening bookmarks in the form as URL. because bookmarks can only be saved in URL format via Internet Explorer or Mozilla firefox on my computer, so how do I open these bookmarks when transferred?
TK OperaBookmarks v1.0
----------------------
This utility dump the Opera bookmarks from opera6.adr file into a HTML page by default:
\My Documents\Favoris.htm
and then launch this file in the Opera Browser.
I did it because the bookmarks in Opera are not managed very well, it's slow and not so user friendly.
Some parameters can be edited into the \Program Files\OperaBookmarks\OperaBookmarks.xml config file :
<Config>
<OperaBookmarks>\Windows\Opera9\opera6.adr</OperaBookmarks>
<OperaExecutable>\Windows\OperaL.exe</OperaExecutable>
<OutputBookmarks>\My Documents\Favoris.htm</OutputBookmarks>
</Config>
Additionaly the html template can also be changed according to your best look and feel editing the
\Program Files\OperaBookmarks\template_xxx.htm files
How to add it in your Manila Internet Portal:
1) edit \Application Data\Manila\InternetPortal(-fr-FR).xml and add an entry to the OperaBookmark.exe like this :
<Link
Text="Favoris"
Executable="\Program Files\OperaBookmarks\OperaBookmarks.exe"
ImagePath="\Application Data\Manila\favoris.png" />
2) copy the favoris.png in the same folder
Requirement : Compact Framework v2.0 or earlier
Damn good idea, I am going to use this & make opera open it as my default (home) page.
Thanks very much.
I installed another pdf app yesterday and I had it associate to pdf. However I decided I didn't want it anymore. Now pdfs aren't linked to Adobe anymore. (Too bad Adobe didn't think to have an option to reassociate.)
I used Total Commander to associate it and use the default settings, but it's not working. The proper icons will show up and the document tab will do a preview, but it won't open the pdf when I tap it. It just opens Adobe reader le.
These are my settings for the association.
Command: \Windows\AdobeReaderLE.exe
Parameter: %1
Icon file: \Windows\AdobeReaderLe.exe
(Please move if this it the wrong forum.)
^ anybody?
hey, I've got the same problem too. I uninstalled Foxit Reader, and associations with pdf were lost.
Well, as no one has an answer fo you, a hard reset will restore everything, inlcuding associations.
Try Resco explorer. Use "Open with" option, choose Adobe Reader and check "Always use this program".
P.S.: Sorry for my english.
After you use above method to associate
Use Registry Editor to change
HKCR\pdffile\DefaultIcon to "\Windows\AdobeReaderLE.exe,-153"
for the right icon.

You could also use Total Commander a free file explorer/registry editor/file associator.
Using Total Commander
Try: Parameter: "%1"
instead of: Parameter: %1
"%1"
That change did it for me with Total Commander and 6.5. Adobe LE 2.5 working perfectly now! Thanks!!!!!!!
I've the same problem, but it's the first time that I'm trying to use the file editor. Can you help me please step by step into the procedure to change the paramiter and the association? I'm using regedit. Thank you in advance

in your reg-editor go to
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT (also called HKCR)
scroll down and find entry called 'pdffile' not just 'pdf' which is also to be found, but 'pdffile'
tab on the 'pdffile' entry
You will find a entry called 'DefaultIcon' and one called 'Shell'
tab first the 'Shell' entry
then tab the 'Open' entry
then tab the 'Command' entry
you will find default sting set to: \Windows\AdobeReaderLE.exe %1
now change that so that it read: \Windows\AdobeReaderLE.exe "%1"
and tab "OK"
now go back to the 'pdffile' entry
this time tab the 'DefaultIcon' entry
you will find default sting set to: \Windows\AdobeReaderLE.exe,-101
now change that so that it read: \Windows\AdobeReaderLE.exe,-153
and tab "OK"
Close the reg-editor, and try to open a pdf file.....
