Multi-Touch PoC on the G1 - next on HD? - Touch HD General

Never stop dreaming: Ryan Gardner demonstrated his G1 Multi-Touch proof-of-concept over the weekend, by hacking the synaptics touchscreen driver:
http://dontknowme.at/http://www.ryebrye.com/blog/2008/11/22/g1-multitouch-proof-of-concept-video/
Who knows, once our gifted programmers here manage to port the G1 operating system to the similar HD, we might even start to think about Multi-Touch on our HD screens

I thought "Multi Touch" is dependent on Physical Screen (hardware)..I mean it needs a specific type of screen to work...which HD doesn't have.

Right, G1 seems to have solid glass screen, whereas the Touch HD...plastic. But we can still dream of G on the Touch HD...

^I liked the Dpad type Navigation button...Cool man....and other 4 buttons are also cool
Nice design
Now...somehow add a physical keyboard into it as well

A revolutionary idea for the cube!

Hey guys, here's a great idea for the cube. I know this will require a lot of development, but what if someone makes a cube where each face is a virtual Today Screen. Think of the SPB Mobile or the PocketPC 4.0 tabs, but where instead of hitting a tab, you swipe left and right just like the cube to change to another tab:

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Better yet, what about customizing it so you can choose to spin the whole cube, the top half only or the bottom half only!
i think this could be easily achieved with wisbar advance desktop. and ftouchflo. you assign next page and prev page to sideways gestures in ftouchflo, and ta-da its done...
but obviously wont only spin the top half [id say thats pretty fkin hard] and has to have wisbar...

I'm no chef or app developer. But, with all of the kick a$$ development that is going on in the xda-devs community, I would have to say its only a matter of time before we see a lot of the diamonds features emulated on our current devices.
Who knows? It's possible. However, it relies on accelerated graphics, so that tosses any devices with the current "video driver issue" right out the window as of now...
Anyway, since this thread if intended for speculation, it has no place in Development and Hacking. Also, resize the picture or host it somewhere, please don't paste the entire, oversized picture directly like you did.

Trophy: the "Palm Treo Pro" like successor (QWERY,WinMo)

Trophy: This could very well be the coolest portrait QWERTY phone ever released -- at least, the coolest running Windows Mobile 6.5 -- thanks to a 3-inch VGA capacitive display atop the keyboard. Like the Photon, it's rocking a 600MHz MSM7227, but it's scheduled to hit a month later in May 2010.

"The two devices look great together, as you can see above, but they work well together too. The keyboard works, of course, but so does the touchpad, volume keys, and mouse/OK button (long press for right-click function)."
Imagine if we could pair our HD2's to this keybord... it would be so cool with a working keyboard with working mouse and volume buttons.
Can it be done??

Hmm... Am I the only one who thought this was really cool?
If I knew this would work on the HD2 I would run our and buy that keyboard today already.
That keyboard feel like it was made from cheap plastic. I almost bough one for my PS3 but decided not to because of how it feels after about 10 minutes of use.

Nexus 7 touch unresponsive

I have been using this device for more than 5 yrs. Recently screen rotation was not working so I tried to repair it by myself after watching some videos and forums. It was an easy process but due to my curiosity I dug into the hardware some more. During the process I mistakenly broke a piece from ZIF connector which was connected to the display. I don't know whether this could do anything to the touch. Now the touch becomes unresponsive. I am also thinking that the digitiser could be faulty but not ready to invest in a new one without knowing the real reason. Why this connector is for. Could this be the culprit? If so do I need to change the daughterboard? You can see the picture
