I am a Technology Consultant by profession and I am fascinated by Android. I have some creative Android App ideas but I am not so good at java so unable to make things work by myself.
That's why I am looking for a developer (Preferably from India) who can help me out with this thing. I cannot pay anything but just looking for someone who has the potential to develop Apps but still did not get any attention.
Why should you help me for free?
1. App's developer section will have your name with me.
2. I guarantee that the App idea I have will be a hit.
3. There is no such application still in the Android Market.
4. You have got nothing to lose.
So if you have the zeal for developing android app and want to be famous (Yes, I believe my app idea is that good), Please leave a comment and we can then discuss things.
Thanks for reading!
okay, I'll bite, but I only develop for android in my spare time.
im in....just PM me or email [email protected]

Thanks for replying guys, I'll contact you by this weekend and discuss the details.
You guarantee your app will take off even though you can't spell correctly. I hope you're right.
Lol, kidding. Good luck.
I have an app idea for the healthcare industry so as you know what that industry has been like for many years you will know anything that can help healthcare and put money in workers' pockets is going to be a winner.
it will also save care homes and the NHS a small fortune.
parliament met me and nearly fell off their chairs they couldn't believe what a great idea it was.
but with a lack of funds its getting it made.
if someone could make it without money upfront I would happily go 50-50 on it.
and i cannot guarantee fame if it took off it would be innevitable.
I asked this in apps and themes but may have been the wrong place to ask this q. I get these pop up adds when i shut down "sms scheduler" app. when teh app closes this ad pops up, its different adds but the delivery is through greystripe. how do i get rid of it? is there a reg edit that needs to be made in android or is there one within the app? i have no idea.
Yea why would you want to support the dev that made the app

Seriously, if you don't like ads, remove the app. Ads are a way developers make money. If you don't want to support them, don't use their products. Simple as that. Please don't try to block ads because you feel entitled to free software without ads. That's virtually on the brink of pirating in my opinion.
no, seriously, if the app had the typical adds on the bottom of the ap that doesnt interfeer with teh ap, well then fine. but this whole page ad is rediculous. and my question wasnt about you opinion on the matter it was about how to get rid of it. if the dev would charge a small fee like everyone else....fine too.
you opinion doesnt matter to me one bit and opinions are like your butthole, everyone has one and they all stink.

if the moron would put a fee on it then there would be some support, but since he is getting paid by advertisers instead of the ones who actually use the app then he gets my original question and i will find a way around it.
I'll make it easy on everyone by telling a tiny white lie:
You can't.

Whatever. Its not just my opinion that if you don't like the terms of an app, you should just not use it. Its common courtesy. If you don't like the ads that the developer uses, you don't use their app. Simple as that. And this is a developer forum, so you aren't going to get much support for trying to circumvent a developer's ads. You should also look into an attitude adjustment. You're a bit edgy and cynical. Good day.

Not taking any sides here, just two cents..
If a dev puts all the hard work it takes into creating a great app then shame on him if he chooses to support it solely with ads and doesn't give people the opportunity to buy it.
If I like an app then I pay for it. If it has ads and there is no paid version then I block the ads because I D.E.S.P.I.S.E ads.
I don't understand why some developers don't offer a paid version of their apps anyways??

Edgy And cynical? Hmm... should I ? Nah I digress. The post before me explains what I ALREADY said with less cynicism, for the hyper sensitive ones. Me, or should I correctly say "I" could really care less about your metrosexual "feelings"
Just give an option to purchase an add free version of your app and you won't piss off people and you will assuredly make even more money.
Basic marketing, if you piss off potential customers you won't sell crap, and NO ONE........even you, likes adds, so please get down off your high horse and be real.
Have a gander at his ratings.......no one likes the adds and his ratings are in the tank. perhaps you can learn a lesson or two from this thread while making apps ADDS = NO MONEY

Hey guys over at wp7android.com we are making a true wp7 experience for android. So far apps have been made but most is work in progress. We are progressing fast but need rom developers and developers who specialize in UI. In return you will recieve all the paid apps, etc. for free. If you would like to help email me at [email protected] or join wp7android.com and message an admin from there. Thanks!
I don't see y all the devs on the project just get the app they made for free and the "owner", the guy who came up with the idea make all the money from it... I bet he's racked up thousands on donations alone... I say its disgusting!

As if he is forcing them to develop for him. Give me a break.
He really does not make too much. He pays all of the devs and its actually a pretty good experience. I personally work on the website and i see all of the paypal transactions.....we really do not make as much as one would think
Hi! I'm Dylan, the xda intern :victory:
I'm doing some research on how devs monetize their apps. We're currently exploring ways to help you make more money from your apps and we'd like to find out about what you currently do. If you could please, please take this short survey, it would be much appreciated! We promise to keep everything confidential; in fact, the survey is anonymous.
Thanks again!

I filled it in. You should add option: I use monetizing, but I fail in it
Hi,
The most popular way to monetize in mobile is by using Ads and put a price in your apps, though, the app has to be really good to get success.

How To Make Money With Mobile Apps
Here is a post dedicated to making money from mobile apps:

In-app purchase is one of the best ways to make money, but it is important to first figure out if the app is actually worthy of a buy.
I was able to learn a lot about how to make money off my application by attending the Funding, Discovery, and Monetization conference hosted by The AppShow and CONNECT in San Diego, Ca. They taught me a lot of important ways to help make sure my application generates profit. I found the most difficult part of creating and monetizing an app was finding investors; this is why I'm attending The AppShow in San Diego, CA in early January to meet face-to-face with well-known investors and help get my application monetized, i'm so excited! I'm sure this show can help any app developer!
We use free apps with In-App purchases. We dont use mobile ads anymore.
I just started with admob banner ads, in near future I will consider some different advertisement companies, though I keep in mind that making ad intrusive app will not help in promotion, which leads to less downloads, and as a obvious result, small or even lack of income (...)
it depends...

It depends on the nature of your app, if you app is used only one or twice then ads make no sense, if the app is used a couple of times each day, then ads makes perfect sense. Another parameter would be session duration, if your app has a very short session duration (say it shows the temprature and no more), then again ads makes less sense.
I wonder what is a good rule on when to use in-app payments Vs publishing a Pro version as a separate app.
I only tried paid apps, generate fine income.
Have thought about ads, but found it too annoying, just can't bare it.
I'm thinking about some new paying mechanism for my new app.

Monetization of apps depend a lot on the user experience and the UI design of a mobile app. A lot of times, developers ignore these aspects and produce design elements on a hunch.
A good way to get around this problem is to use A/B testing on your mobile app. You can do it yourself or you can use a third-party platform. One of the better platforms I know of is appiterate.com

This.
Depending on the nature of the app you might have a conflict of interest. Last month I published an app that helps people manage their repetitive tasks. The whole app is based on a simple interface - I want my users to spend the least possible time entering and managing their tasks to make the experience more enjoyable, but at the same time I want people to see ads and click on them; hence the conflict.
I'm currently thinking what kind of 'premium' features I can add to get rid of the ads.
Here's an example of how monetization is improved:

I am a new android developer but the thing is I used to live in China for 2 years. One of the cool thing I learned about the Chinese is that they click on ads a lot. So I decided to translated my app and distribute them in various app stores in China. It has worked well for me. It seems for China you need to get ad from local ad aggregators. They pay better than Admob.
The service I am familiar with that does that are.
Appigniter.com
Papaya SDK
Inmobi.com
onepf.org
Good luck :good:

Oh, thank you for that insight! I am planning on using papaya, so that's good for me.
Can you also make a list of the major Chinese app stores? It will be very appreciated.

Hey guys. I know how hard it is to get users and reviews for our Apps. Been there 3 times. Wanted to share my 1 cent, it may help someone here. I got around 100 free installs and reviews for my Android App using this service called install4install.com. The concept is simple. You install and review other developers Apps and they do the same for you. Plus, you can get demographics/comments/suggestions/bug reports as well that you can use to solidify your app further. What do you guys think?

How many apps did you install and review yourself?
Did you get all 5s? Did you give all 5s? I am just asking just to understand the community, as if it is too "generous" it may be seen by Google as dishonest promotion. I would prefer some true 4s here and there than all artificial 5s.
Its at pure will of the users. If they like your App, they may give 5 or 4. I got 3's as well. I personally reviewed quite a lot and still do it to get points. Try it, its awesome!!
Looks interesting. It may be useful for new apps. For apps already with hundreds of reviews, I think it's not the effort.
I started using it for my new game, it seems good
it is good for somebody who can write review.
Pretty interesting concept, but is it truly scalable? Also, wondering what kind of users (quality or not) will be the ones installing your app..
Hi, You can try some app review exchange websites.
They was good on start. But today you should featuring you apps to get more than 10 reviews.
