Orbit 2 running wm6.1, wanting touchflow 3-d - Touch Cruise ROM Development

Hi im currently running WM 6.1 Pro on a Orbit 2 device. Can anyone tell me if my device will handle the 3d touchflow interface, and if so which rom would be best to achieve this, and when can i get it. Im slightly new to this flashing lark, but flashed to 6.1 without any trouble.

i would suggest to check KhanX Touch Navia Lite ROM (maybe waiting for v1.5 would make sense) and Touchflo 3D thread in dev&hack.

Thanks for your response, but is there not a rom that will have the touch flow 3-d already within it. and i cannot seem to find Khanx rom downloads

For the time being KhanX only has Touch flo 2D although the 3D drivers are already included. The latest version is Navia 1.5 look for the sticky in the first page of Polaris upgrading etc.

right, i'm not sure if there's any ROM, that has TouchFlo 3D already included
therefore i recommend to go for Navia 1.5 Lite (once available) and install TF3D separately

Superb, i still cannot find these download areas, can you post links to download for the 1.5 Lite and tf3d

v1.5 is still not released, but check KhanX Touch Navia thread
TF3D is in Development & Hacking i believe

it's not really ready for day to day use but this rom has m3d

We need newer 3D drivers... With existing version doesnt work display on/off

Hardware and TF3D questions

Has the Touch HD hardware ever changed? IOW, would a recent purchase be the exact same hardware as when they first came out with updates only being in soft/firmware?
AFAICT, the THD comes with TouchFlo3D 2.1, but there are now 2.5 and even 2.6 versions kicking around that offer good reasons to want to upgrade. But how?
I see new ROMS that include later versions, but is it necessary to install an entirely new ROM? What does TF3D include? There's manilla.exe, but are there any other actual files? Would it not be possible to simply install a later version of manilla without having to change everything else?
Will 2.5 and 2.6 run on WM6(.1) or do they require 6.5?
Just trying to get a handle on potential upgrades (once I actually get hold of a THD - still looking).

There would be no hardware changes between first HD released and latest one. Only difference would be rom installed on device which would be an upgrade incorporating a few fixes. This would still be wm6.1.
Wm6.5 is only available through a cooked rom.
To upgrade to a new manila, you will need to flash a rom which has this available (generally a cooked rom). Only rom that I know of which has manila 2.5 on wm6.1 is Miri's. But it does appear to have some limitations due to incompatibilities between wm6.1 and manila 2.5.
Latest manila's are more touch friendly and also have landscape capabilities whereas earlier version did not.
Thanks for that, but why would you HAVE to install a new ROM just to update TouchFlo3D? If it IS just manilla.exe, then why not simply install that new file? OK, I guess there's a bit more to it, but why an entirely new ROM?
Manila isn't only manila.exe file: the UI has more then 1000 files... and it's stable if you flash ROMs.

PS: Manila 2.5/6 is a beta version quite slow and sometime freeze (I tried Miri ROM)
OK, sounds reasonable. But how can 2.5 still be beta if there's 2.6?

She is HOT! lol.
when the cab version of the TF2.5 will be available?
What??
Come on guys... the title of this thread states theme [THE]... this is not a theme at all, it's a request [REQ]
PS. While I'm here, I'll add my bit... I WANT IT ALL!!
I will add my voice to this request. While I appreciate the work that the various cooks on this site do (I'm currently using Yozgatg's Gen.Y D2 R4) I would like to have a stock ROM (either 2.03.401.3 or 2.03.405.3) with TF3D 2.1.
I am aware that Yozgatg also has an installation procedure to install TF3D 2.1, but the only problem I've found with it (at least when I do it) is that it takes a phenomenal amount of device RAM! You need to have 20Mb free just to install it, and when I have tried I have been left with about 6Mb free at the end of the procedure. I don't know if this is down to remnants of the original TF3D still being left on the device or what. Compare this to Yozgatg's Gen.Y D2 R4 cooked ROM which, after installing the other odds and sods that I use, still leaves me with about 42Mb free.
Great though the cooked ROMS are, the authors add or take away various components (which is their right, as they are cooking the ROMS to their own needs and then sharing them with the rest of us) e.g. I have flashed a 6.5 ROM before where all the games were missing.
I would really like a stock ROM with an updated TF3D.

I am trying A.Z.T.O.R. ROM final WM6.1 with GEN Y manila 2.1 R1.5..i can tell that i have never seen my Diamond sooo fast and stable (until now) i used mtty to flash i added BWtaskbar that makes also the X button bigger in some apps that helps a lot.The true thing is that i miss WM6.5.1. (Bsb rom i used),but the functionality of the tf3d 2.1 R1.5 is much better for everyday use than Titanium. That's my opinion!
What you're all asking for will never happen.
TF3D 2.5 will never be ported to VGA by HTC so you'll never see a stock ROM with it.
You might be able to install it via cab once XOR have finished porting it but chances are you'll at least need WM6.5 or build 21000 and above. I'd put my money on it that you guys running ROM version 2.03 are not running a build number high enough.
Do some searching before posting too. All these questions have been answered in the TF3D 2.5 VGA thread.
Manila 2.5 will never be availabe as a cab because , there are files which will not fit into 256mb rom (Diamond) , because manila 2.5 would not replace 2.1 , the files are entirely different so additional files need to be added.
I'm using - SUN Y 6.1 - Manila 2.5 Beta 3 by Kisja. Works almost PREFECT. fast and Stable.
Will be more stable with newer release.

Well according to our handy-dandy ROM matrix in the wiki, it appears that you have the "ARA" (arabic..? I dunno ) stock ROM, with WM6.1. This most likely also means that you don't have Sense, and instead have TF3D 2.1. Most of the themes you find here are for some version of Sense (2.1, 2.5), and will cause issues when applied to TF3D.
You can:
-Just look for TF3D 2.1-compatible themes and visual elements...they exist, search the whole site and not just the Rhodium forums.
-Upgrade your ROM to one that has some version of Sense (aka Manila) on it, and you open up your options for the visual tweaks you can find and use.
Also, even when you find themes, etc, that will work with what you have on your phone, you need to make sure you turn off TF3D (and Sense, when you get it) before installing any of them, to make sure there's no issues with files not overwriting properly.
thanx a lot sirphunkee.... i thot manila is kind of an updated version of tf3d.... :O should i first install windows 6.5 or flash a new ROM..... i am not so much of a tech freak... and not on the phone 24 7... i just need some cool games and good themes....... ( not to forget sme decent softwares)... could you please suggest which ROM should i go for....

which one is the stable rom for Touch Diamond

hi frnds
i have htc touch diamond and i have upgraded it with donsalari SENSE 2.5 and Radio_1.00.25.05 but after that its motion sensor has stooped working and also its stooped connecting as disk drive with computer and internet sharing is not working, call history is not working and many more problems...
plz can anyone tell me which one is the stable working rom here for diamond? and what radio i have to use for it? and also what is the difference between Sense & Titanium roms... are all roms here work on htc touch diamond p3490?
Ok, first advice: try to read the forum. Sense is based on MANILA (TouchFlow) usually running on Windows Mobile 6.1 while Titanium is an addon for WindowsMobile 6.5
If you need a stable rom try to use the most developed and tested ones.
If you like sense, my advice is all the yozgatg ones: GenY D2 5.5 or the MEMO 2.5.4 based on the yozgatg one... great roms... fast, estables, and cools.
If yoy like Windows6.5 and you need a bug free rom, my advice is the BsB ones.... he was the best cooker for wm6.5.
HOWEVER, if you have those kind of problems with the roms, REMEMBER:
"""ALWAYS USE MTTY BEFORE FLASHING"". That cleans all the old rom trash in the Diamond and fix all kind of bugs.
Again, read the forum and you will be ok.
BTW, the radio is up to your country and operator. The most CLASIC, equilibrated one is the v1.09.25.23
but is up to you, what are you looking for... batt duration, wifi signal, gps signal... phone signal...
read read read and you will be ok... good luck
you have to try them all, this is the only way to find out which is the most stable ROM for you.

Need help installing manila 2d 2.0(TF2d 2.0)

Hi!
Im using the rom Besfen released (the wm 6.5 one) which has manila TF2d 1.2
I wanted to upgrade to manila 2d 2.0 but dont know how to. So please help me out here!
there is no way to upgrade your manila unless the ROM has the required dependancies cooked in...but even then you would lose a lot of space on your phone memory while installing 2.0 and might even face inter-compatibility issues...
i suggest flashing a ROMs with manila 2.0 cooked in it...go through the ROM development section to find one that you like...
Hi thanks for the info......well actually i tried finding a good rom with manila 2.0 and was unsuccessful...then i thought, why not wait a little more for karanz new rom (the v8).
If you can suggest any good rom with the new manilla in it or if there is any way to get the flipping clock(the actual flipping one ) somehow because thats all i want from the new manila
i don't think karan's V8 is gonna have manila in it...last i read was that he was planning on releasing a clean ROM coz he wanted to focus on performance and not the looks...
if its a ROM you want then you could try karan's V7 or my own Psychocynicystic ROM coz i felt they performed fairly well...both have manila 2.0...nedalll's rom also has manila but i think it was 1.2...
(and now for a bit of shameless self-publicity)
or you could download my latest Dark Water ROM and install manila 2.0 with nice skin built in from pin12's thread (i've confirmed it to work myself)
and if its only the flipping clock you want...you could download a plugin for titanium but it still isn't as smooth and graphically well presented as having the actual manila flip clock...
ooooh didnt see that your rom also had manila 2.0 :3 gonna try it out now
