I've tried searching around for answers but I think this is a really isolated problem so I'll ask here anyways. Mods: Please don't hesitate to move this topic if I it was posted on the wrong section.
My problem is, Opera browser closes suddenly when accessing websites for non-mobile version. I tried using 9.7b but same things happen. I also tried using IE but still the same. It would be great if anyone can tell me what I can do.
Thanks.
Just a little bump. Still haven't found a solution. :/
Hi,
I've looked on the forum and can't find any answers to this one so apols if it's been asked before......
I'm not sure if it's something I've installed or a registry setting that I've changed from the tweaks list but every time I try and open the youtube app that came installed on my t-mobile UK HD2, the app won't load. It pops up the screen for 0.5s and then it goes off again.
I've tried installing a new version of the WVGA youtube app and this does the same. It also makes no difference if I'm on 3G or wi-fi, the app starts up, displays "Downloading" and then the screen reverts to the home screen.
I've done soft resets but to no avail - I don't want to do a hard reset if at all possible.
Has anyone experienced this and overcome the problem ?
Thanks,
Inclement

There's an ongoing discussion about getting the youtube app working on T-Mobile provided HD2s. Apparently if you get it working then it stops some other video functions working.
Do some more searching (I'm sure you searched before opening this thread) to find that discussion as it will no doubt be the best place to start.
hi, as you can see in the screen shot i have a random problem where i have no emails yet theres an annoying 1 on the tab. iv already checked my inboxes, no emails. removed accounts from hd2 and still says 1... also i cant seem to remove malina from rotated apps in BsB tweaks which is causing me problems and finaly does anyone know why the sense tab for the pictures album will only display 99 images unless i open the album? help on any of these issues would be aprechiated but ts the email one thats irritating the crap out of me... dont want to hard reset but will if i have to. Cheers peeps.
Never mind, hard reset done...
Argh... I uninstalled my Windows Mobile Youtube link fix script that opens the Youtube app instead of trying to open it up in the browser, and I can't find the post to re-download it. I don't even remember which forum I found it on originally...
I F*&%IN' HATE to see ppl read a post and just ignore the question. I mean, seriously!? Over 50 F*&%IN' VIEWS!? Sure, you could've just done what every schmuck that'd ignored it was thinkin' and just Googled it, but HEY‼, this is what these web communities are for. Here, friend.
שלום!
Thanks for your help!
Hey everyone! I've just had my N7 for two days now and am diggin everything about it. It's running 4.2.1, rooted, stock, with Franco's latest nightly kernel, and the nexus louder audio mod by Misledz, just to give a background. I'm having a tiny issue though with Youtube, where it doesn't play any videos, and it says that "there was a problem playing the video, due to a network error. Tap to retry". I've gone ahead and cleared both the cache and data, and the issue is still persistent. I also uninstalled the app, and did a fresh install, but no bueno. Does anyone know what the issue could be, and could you please point me in the direction as to how I can fix it? Thanks in advance for the help!

There is probably no need for yet another thread on this; you should use the forum search capability.
For instance, try searching for "Youtube" in just the titles of posts, and display the results as Topics (rather than posts). If you did that you would have found all of these threads, and you would have been on-topic to just read and then contribute to those discussions.

OK, you get the idea. As you were.
You may want to try running the same Youtube .apk on the stock ROM. That will immediately tell you whether it is the app, your hardware, or your WiFi network which is the source of the trouble - or perhaps the kernel or ROM you are using.

Noted. Thx!
Edit: after scanning through the links above, the most common thing that kept coming up was the HD playback. So after I toggled the HD off, Youtube starts to play the content in SD. So I wonder what the issue is with the HD setting/streaming on the N7? Thx for pointing me in the right direction though.
