Hello everyone, I'm new here
When I browse the market and finds an app I want and pushes the Install button, then it just says Starting Download for a long time sometimes.. Other times it just starts installing right away..
Does anybody know why?
I don't know why, but many people (including me) have the same problem. Rebooting the phone (turn it off then on again) seems to help at least sometimes, but of course that's no real solution.
There's already an issue report for this problem at Google code. You might want to "star" that one to let Google know that you're also affected.
Hi elmicha
Thanks for the answer, I'm "glad" it's just not my phone.
I really appreciate the answer, but how do i "star" it on the site?
You login with your Google username and password, and click on the little star left to the "Issue 1996: ..." in the title.
Adding a comment like "I have this problem, too" doesn't help much - it only annoys people who have also starred that issue and get mails regarding this issue. If you have useful information to reproduce, avoid or even solve the problem, you're of course welcome to add a comment. But comments like "fix this now, Google!!!1!" are really no help for anyone.
It's easy to do it ,before you install a app,you just login your gtalk, the app will be download immediately, because android market will check your account first ,if you don't login in ,it's not allowed to download apps! Good luck
Just updated fine for me on Myn's.
The update includes:
Groups - support for those new 'small' groups
Places
Improved notifications - view the comments without leaving the app. This is huge - it actually seems to work.
Overall, the app seems to work much faster and be snappier over 3G.
Really wish I used facebook.. So over it now, but I bet our phones do a great job with it..
cool, thanks for thanks for the update.
Yeah the app is near perfect for me and just as enjoyable to use as the iPhone app.
Places works great, just used it, actually..
Just needs push notifications and chat.. Though I simply set facebook to send notifications to my push gmail account and BeejiveIM works great with Facebook chat.
It's better but still "meh".
This, and cards, are the only place where I like Webos better. In facebook for webos...
You actually get notifications in the notification area when you have new notifications on Facebook.
Why can't we have that?
I'd also like the ability to delete posts and comments and the ability to "like" comments.
Yeah...why they can enable push notifications is beyond me. Its on the iOS, webos, and blackberry apps...android really gets left out.
I also wish they'd improve the update status menu/area. The 1.5 line thing that they have now is very hard and doesn't allow for a very long update...their mobile website is better.
Thanks for the update info!
It's an improvement for sure.

I know that. I'm saying I should be able to delete posts too.
Also, I should be able to like comments like I can on the site and delete my own comments.
Don't know why you can't via any facebook app on any platform.

Whenever receiving an error of any kind, after updating any app of any kind, you should clear any data/cache that is associated with the app.
If that doesn't work, then take the step of uninstalling and then reinstalling.
That usually fixes problems after updates.

You can delete your own posts on the app I just did it now to make sure I wasn't just imagining it. Just hold down on your post and it gives u an option to comment or like, or remove post. I found it in the last update. Don't know if its been around longer than that...

This was in the old app as well. Doesn't look like it's changed. You can only remove posts that you've done from the app, which is nice, but sucks that you can't do ones from your laptop, ect.

Actually, I just tried and you CAN remove comments ON YOUR OWN POSTS but not comments you make on others posts.
You also CANNOT like comments.
You CANNOT delete wall posts though.
I think the next added feature should be orientation options for the main app screen. For some reason you can view comments, pictures, and just about everything else in landscape, just not the main screen.
Otherwise loving that I don't have to open the browser when I want to read a comment
I discovered a service named Z7Service that bombards my phone with hundreds of messages per second. I can't see how this could be helping the phone's performance...
There are 2 APKs relating to it:
/system/app/Z7.apk
/system/app/z7-rel-UI.apk
But before going ahead an uninstalling it, I would like to know what it does and why is it there.
Any idea what this Z7 is?
Looks like an email client.
There is a thread on droid forums about that apk. I found it with a google search for "z7.apk". I would post the link but the site won't let me

Thanks to you I found the following two references:
http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-general-discussions/2154-push-email-system-seven.html
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=753855
Were you referring to one of them?
Based on all the hints I received so far, I decided to gamble on uninstalling 2 packages that have an identical name ("Social Hub") but different icons (one with the stock Android icon, the other with an envelope).
I am no longer bothered by this flood of messages and the resulting slowness of the phone, so unless something surprising happens, I can safely assume that Z7Logger is part of the "Social Hub" package.
Works just fine!!!! Showbox for XBMC and it works fine even with fire tv remote

Could anyone upload the add on zip for Show Box zip. I can't get it to download. Thanks in advance

This is a helpful site which has another link that works...

What's the difference between sideloading the apk and installing the addon in XBMC? Is it just being able to use the Fire remote?

@cpugeeker could you please change the link in the OP. This guy scrapes all the content from my site and tries to get people to his site so they will click on ads. My site is ad-free. EVERY post that he has on his site is scraped from mine and other sites and sharing his link just makes him money for doing jack ****.
The link that @wonneil provides above is my site (https://seo-michael.co.uk/how-to-install-showbox-add-on-xbmc-kodi/) and it is the original link. If you look at the images in his post they say SEO MICHAEL (the name of my site) he doesn't even try to cover it up he just puts a large red image across the screenshot with the url of his site.
great, been looking for something that works streaming movies and tv shows easily on xbmc

The blogspot post thanks you by name - and "rebrands" your images at the same time, as well as plagarizing every word!
You could put your own watermark on your images so that stealing them wouldn't be quite so easy. It's sad when ripping and reposting are so commonplace without a scrap of ethics to be found.
You could also try asking the site's owner to remove your images and content, which I'm assuming were not reposted with your permission. Failing that, you might be able to get the site disabled until the removal of your content with a legitimate DMCA request to the hoster.

With a little more work and some logs, you might be able to find what IP address to block
In any case, thanks for creating your site with some useful pointers to add-ons and things to play with for Kodi, Android, and FTV.
Okay either showbox or viDic is copying each other.
Vidic has the same everything. From what I gathered Vidic has been around awhile.

I downloaded the link from the op and before reading this I pushed it to kodi. But did not install it. I'll pull it & grab from the other link you okayed. Just for clarification, this isn't suspected malware, right? He just ripped you off without modding or adding anything?
Either way. Its gone now. Appreciate your work! Thanks!

Just want to add that TV Addons has an addon named Vidics that was released on November 10, 2014. And It does appear that Showbox and Vidics are similar addons for Kodi.

Warning: this is a fake!
This addon has nothing to do with the Show Box android application. I had a quick look at it, and it appears to be nothing else than the Vidics XBMC addon, repackaged with a show box icon.

I dont care, it works for me lol
Is it on me having this issue or anybody else aswell.
Was working untill few hours ago but now there are no link servers at all.
I mean movie database is dere but No watchable links??
How do I get movie cover images to show up with this addon?
This sucks as an add on... Show box have three links that always work and load quickly...
These have a hundred links with no detail about quality that load slowly it seems, you'd be better off sticking to genesis
Genesis FTW
I'm using Firefox as my web browser and I use the following add-ons: Bluhell Firewall, Full Screen, and uBlock Origin. Every once in awhile, maybe twice a day my browser would open up without my permission and alert me that my battery has a virus and it insists that I download whatever its trying to redirect me to install to "fix" the problem. I tried using CM security and Avast, both dont detect any malware and I dont visit any suspicious looking websites where this may have gotten picked up from. Maybe I downloaded some APKs I wasnt suppose to if anything. Any idea what I can do to fix this?
P.S. Is it possible to root the Galaxy S7 Edge at this time or still no? Its been 2-3 months since I last checked.
This is just Popup and a really ****ing annoying one too.
Seen it many a times, Hijacks the Vibrate function too.

And yes to rooting

I did mention previously I have ublock origin for an addon, are you suggestion to get adblock plus on top of it? I just didnt want to have two things conflict with each other or install more than necessary. (if you think I should drop the ublock in favor of it then ok)
If its not against the rules may I please have a link to a guide on rooting my phone? This is my first Android phone I've ever owned and I dont know the procedures in rooting. I've done jailbreaking on iPhones but I'm sure this is different.

Its a Add nothing more nothing less.
Ublock may block XYZ but its possible W may get through.
w = that advert you are complaining about.
Putting another Adblocker MAY work, But i also have a Adblocker and see this add slip through some times.
About rooting your device, Please search the Forum, this question is asked about 100 times per day.
It takes more effort to respond back A instructions or B telling the user to search.
Than a user just searching the S7 edge forum.
The content on this website is a Forum, its all kept for the reason other people will read and use the information. Please use the search feature, its just bone idle not searching and people are reluctant to help people who dont help them self.
I was just asking for a link to a guide so I can do it myself, not to be spoon fed step by step like you assume I'm asking. I only started browsing here around the same time I got a new phone and just want to assure I dont cause a brick by following an outdated or non-compatible guide.
If you dont want to link to a guide thats fine, I'll find what I need on youtube hopefully or just look elsewhere. Sorry to bother you.
