Help - cannot uninstall HTC kybd - XPERIA X1 General

Hi...
I have installed the HTC Kybd and I cannot removed the program. It takes very long to uninstall and then just hang....Any expert out there?

No expert?.
Then how to flash the ROM?

Hi
The trick is to be patient. On mine it took over 5 mins to uninstall, but it did uninstall eventually. Also ensure that it is not the active keyboard before you uninstall.

Hello! I suggest doing a hard reset on your device to how it was originally. However, do check your ROM version. The latest upgrade for X1 is v2.8.11.7. If your ROM is older than this and would like to do a hard reset, I would suggest that you do a upgrade of the software instead. This will overwrite all user data. The upgrade can be found here:
HTML:
http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/softwaredownloads/detailed/updateservice/x1?cc=sg&lc=en
Hard reset:
1. turn off the phone
2. hold down the two silver buttons under the screen and the power button at the same time
3. wait 3 seconds then release the power button
4. you should see a white screen with blue writing saying press (R) to restore or space to cancel
5. press R on the keyboard the phone and the phone will restore to the original settings
Remember to back up your data before doing a hard reset. All user data will be erased. Hope it helps.

The Key combo works ! also if u have access to your phone from Start -> Settings -> System -> Clear Storage - i've done it once - deletes contacts , programs , clock/data , and etc. really helpfull if u got screwed by a program ! i recommend instaling a backup program and making a backup once a week ! that's how u can be sure that nothing 's gonna f8ck up when u try new things and make that backup on the memory card so u just removed it before reseting ... try a way to connect it to a PC and delete the thing u think is screwing and then load the backup and have fun ;]]

Could you provide us with the following info:
Which rom are you currently using?
Have you recently flashed a new rom? Problem may be with this rom in particular
What is your current SPL?
When did this first start happening?
Have you recently installed any apps?
Have you recently changed any registry settings/tweaks?
This may help us narrow down your issue

Hi there abiis,
You can try resetting your phone back to factory settings by performing a Hard Reset. Try to uninstall any programs that you may have recently installed first that may be causing a conflict. You can backup any data on your phone (such as Contacts, Messages, etc) using PIMBackup before you perform a Hard Reset.
To perform a Hard Reset, try the following:
1. With the device turned off, press and hold the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons, then briefly press the POWER button.
2. Continue pressing the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons until you see this message on the screen:
Warning! Your device will be set back to factory default settings. Please ensure any additional installed programs and/or user data have been backed up before a hard reset is performed.
3. Release the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons, press the VOLUME UP button to perform the hard reset, or press any other button to cancel the reset.

i know this option but i need a solution without having a hard reset thanks any way
can't you just backup before hardreset ?
To be honest, I think a Hard Reset would resolve your problem with the dropped calls... but if you are unwilling to perform a hard reset, then I would suggest that you try sending your phone back to HTC for repair assuming it is still under warranty?
Best Regards.
well this depends greatly
which end call button is he using. if it the red software one then its a software problem, and this would be remedied with a had reset
if its the one on the bottom of the phone with the 4 button (start call, home, back and end call) then this could indicate a hardware issue and in that case i recommend a return to vendor

[Q] 7720 RTM updateable ROM issues

I just got done going through the proccess of installing the updateable ROM from XBmod and YukiXDA can continue to have issues with the buttons.
The "Readme" file says the button layout should be the same as on all the other ROMS with the green button being the camera button. So far with using both versions of the ROM they provided I have had no luck. The green button doesn't do anything but activate voice dialing when held down for a second.
Can anyone help me please?
You have a soft button in camera, why do you need a hard button ...it can sometimes unnecessarily get switched on in pocket
Sent from my Schubert using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
Yeah see that. I was hoping for the hard button. Oh well, Thanks, I think the fact that it was 2:30am (hour # 20 of my day) I just wasn't paying attention.
I did have one other big problem. Once I updated to 7720, the phone would continuously reboot itself. It wasn't just a shutdown and restart, it would revert back to it's initial bootup settings. I wouldn't have to set up the phone but it would wipe any changes that I made to it (ie: apps downloaded, apps pinned to the start screen, etc...).
I followed the steps as to a "T", has anyone else had this problem or is there possibly something I can do to fix it?
download cab file from here http://xboxmod.sylvester20007.com/cabs/keymapping/
in first txt file you have layout so pick one that you like and update
it worked for me

Try to reset your phone to factory default using phone buttons and then restore with Zune (or with WP7 Update Cab Sender).
If you can turn off the phone do it. For unresponsive or frozen phone, remove the battery and put it back again after few seconds.
1. Press Volume up button and hold then press Volume Down button and hold and then press the power button (briefly) to switch the phone on.
2. Keep holding the volume up and volume down buttons until you see a reset screen option.
3. Now follow the instructions that will show up on your mobile screen to factory reset your phone.
If it does not help, flash another ROM (official or custom). But you must understand, that all your information on phone will be erased and you would not be able to restore with existing Zune backup!!!

S7 edge stuck on 28% update for security patch

Dear experts here.
From 2 days a new security patch is available for download over the air.
It was downloaded .
I pressed to install and the phone restarts and tried to install while on the blue screen .
The phone restarted before completing the installation and it reboot again and install and stay all the time till 28%.
I can't access the phone.
It remains in the blue screen all the time.
Volume up and power and home doesn't work.
Is there anyway to remove the pending downloaded file to make the phone work again normally?
I need to access my data on internal memory before i make any factory reset to make backup.
Can I reinstall the same firmware on the phone without deleting my data.?
Any help please

Press volume down + power key + home button 7 seconds and try again.
If it fails, I recommend A/S because there is a risk of damage to KNOX.

After Service.
You may use Odin if your phone is already tripped knox.
Another way is to use smart switch program. (A/S or this or hard reboot)
