Can I record FM Radio on the HD ??? - Touch HD General

Hi all
I would love to be able to record FM Radio. I bought Resco Audio recorder but it can only handle mic input. Does anyone know of a way for recording FM radio ?
many thanks

I am also interested in this topic. Does anyone have a solution? I haven't found anything with a solution via search.

me too, i'm very interested if somebody have a solution...

This is very interesting, it would be nice if we could enable stereo mix like we do in PC to record any sound we hear.

Maybe the call recording in the new ROMs might be able to ? Just an assumption since voice recorder is not able to record voice calls, and the new feature implemented in many new roms like the dutty one have this option, can anybody confirm if that is true ?

I have a Raphael, but I can record the FM radio using any program that has a record function. The "Notes" audio recorder works (though it records in wave format, which takes up a lot of space). I personally have been using Vito SoundExplorer, which gives you the option to adjust the input level, and change the recording format (I use mp3, which saves space). Try it; see if it works on an HD.
Personally, I think it'd be nice if HTC's FM radio app included a "Record" function like the Omnia's. Maybe someone could port that app & make it work on our devices ?

Any Developments???

Record uplink/downlink speech streams? (WaveIn, TAPI, RIL?)

Hi,
I'm trying to record both uplink and downlink speech streams of my XDA II during a phone call.
I tried many different things but couldn't get working any of them:
- I first tried the waveIn/waveOut API and thought, in the first place, that I was able to record the incoming and outgoing audio streams, mixed together. But I quickly realise that what I was recording was only the sound from the mike, and that the speech of the downlink speech was going from the speaker through the air to the mike. So I was recording my own voice (from the mike) and the voice of the other part (from the mike too as the sound was going from the speaker to the mike).
- Then I had a look to the TAPI API. I was able to answer calls but it was impossible for me to access to any of the audio streams. I think it's a limitation of the device, and that the TAPI API hasn't been fully implemented on the XDA2. But I can't be sure of that.
- Now I'm trying to use RIL, which seems to be a layer below the other APIs. I believe it might be possible to access to the audio streams, but I have no idea how.
- I also think that the audio data of both streams must be stored in the memory, somewhere in the device. But where?
Any ideas or suggestions on this? Do you think I should keep investigating RIL?
Thanks a lot
Ben

Audio recording program?

Is there any software that will allow my TyTN (Vario II) to record audio?
I would like to record some meetings that I attend (and conferences) for later listening.
Cheers.
If you didnt' change any of your button setting, just press and hold on the voice-dial button, it should then start a voice recording. It will stop when you release the button.
If you like a handsfree approach, go to Notes and start a recording from there.
Give Resco Audio Recorder a look if you like.
Read http://www.pocketpcmag.com/blogs/menneisyys/112005SoundRecorderApps.asp , it answers all your (even future ) questions.
Native recorder doesn't do a very good job for me. Plus, I think it's got a time limit, so recording a 1 hour lecture isn't possible.

Yup, this is why I recommend the Sound Recorder Bible - it reviews & compares all the alternatives.
OK. I found the ideal application - Audio Note from Vito. It's perfect for my needs. And cheap too. You can get it here.

Any Freeware for Recording What's Playing..

I'm looking for a freeware which can do the following,
1. Voice Record ( I found some freewares... on this)
2. Record the phone conversation...
3. Record whats playing in the device...
Is there any freeware for this...
bumping.... anyone has any idea ?
I don't know any freeware but I used Resco Audio Recorder. It's ok. To record the phone conversation, you have to turn on the speaker while you are talking. That's the only way to record for herm unfortunately.

Decent voice recording program

I'm in need of a voice recording program that will record in mp3 or wmv
Try Googling for Resco Audio Recorder and Vito Audio Notes
Vito Audio Notes seems can handle phone call recording. Once I have tried this software but it is rather unstable in previous version: sometimes can record phone call but sometimes fail in Atom Life. Resco Audio Recorder can record phone call for certain device including Atom Life but cannot handle in Touch Diamond. I am now try Vito Audio Notes to see whether it really can handle phone call recording.
Vito Audio Notes can use in diamond? u try already?
tried it on Diamond and its working perfect...

I tried Resco Audio Recorder, but as soon as the display gets off, the recording ends. I haven't found any option to avoid this.
