Record uplink/downlink speech streams? (WaveIn, TAPI, RIL?) - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 General

Hi,
I'm trying to record both uplink and downlink speech streams of my XDA II during a phone call.
I tried many different things but couldn't get working any of them:
- I first tried the waveIn/waveOut API and thought, in the first place, that I was able to record the incoming and outgoing audio streams, mixed together. But I quickly realise that what I was recording was only the sound from the mike, and that the speech of the downlink speech was going from the speaker through the air to the mike. So I was recording my own voice (from the mike) and the voice of the other part (from the mike too as the sound was going from the speaker to the mike).
- Then I had a look to the TAPI API. I was able to answer calls but it was impossible for me to access to any of the audio streams. I think it's a limitation of the device, and that the TAPI API hasn't been fully implemented on the XDA2. But I can't be sure of that.
- Now I'm trying to use RIL, which seems to be a layer below the other APIs. I believe it might be possible to access to the audio streams, but I have no idea how.
- I also think that the audio data of both streams must be stored in the memory, somewhere in the device. But where?
Any ideas or suggestions on this? Do you think I should keep investigating RIL?
Thanks a lot
Ben

Sound very low while Recording

Hi all...
Is there any way to increase volume in recording while we are in Call...
If we record a cal, our voice is clear and loud but not the other person's voice... it seems it records it from MIC...
Is there anyway to record the other persons voice also louder?... After recording if we play the recorded file the other voice is almost like no sound.
Reviving the subject…
Is it possible that there is now solution for this? Cmon, on Nokias this is a common feature, recording in AMR format...
true - I am missibg this too - should be reported as a bug.
You may also want to read http://www.pocketpcmag.com/blogs/index.php?blog=3&p=513&more=1 on this subject - it gives a nice overview of what you can expect from PPC PE devices and what applications there're to (even automatically) record phone calls.

Try Vito Audio Notes, works great!
Vito Audio Notes fails to open saying Audio not found or sth like that.It does not record

Voice Recording

There must be a piece of software that records for longer than the ones I currently have which is the standard Notes voice recorder and TNT's. I need one that will record for the duration of you card or something, its majorly important
Thanks guys!
Try Resco Audio Recorder, or Vito Audio Notes

Can I record FM Radio on the HD ???

Hi all
I would love to be able to record FM Radio. I bought Resco Audio recorder but it can only handle mic input. Does anyone know of a way for recording FM radio ?
many thanks
I am also interested in this topic. Does anyone have a solution? I haven't found anything with a solution via search.
me too, i'm very interested if somebody have a solution...
This is very interesting, it would be nice if we could enable stereo mix like we do in PC to record any sound we hear.
Maybe the call recording in the new ROMs might be able to ? Just an assumption since voice recorder is not able to record voice calls, and the new feature implemented in many new roms like the dutty one have this option, can anybody confirm if that is true ?
I have a Raphael, but I can record the FM radio using any program that has a record function. The "Notes" audio recorder works (though it records in wave format, which takes up a lot of space). I personally have been using Vito SoundExplorer, which gives you the option to adjust the input level, and change the recording format (I use mp3, which saves space). Try it; see if it works on an HD.
Personally, I think it'd be nice if HTC's FM radio app included a "Record" function like the Omnia's. Maybe someone could port that app & make it work on our devices ?
Any Developments???

Resco Voice Recorder

Hi guys - I know there's been other threads regarding voice recordeing, but I needed a specific answer.
Can resco voice recorder capture both parties in the conversation? I've been trying it, but so far I'm only able to record my own voice? It doesn't seem to capture the other parties...only audio via the mic. Does it not capture the internal/call input?
Until now nobody recorded both side voice on HD2...except recording your voice and something quitet from other side if microphone hears it...
